Wow that song just knocks me out I was 23years old back in 83 when that song came out Robert plants great voice just knocks me out don't have music like that anymore 👍
BIG LOG 1983 AGAIN BUT THE 1955 CHEVY WAS THE STAR OF THE VIDEO MY FATHER HAD ONE IN THE 1960 THOSE WERE THE BEST YEARS OF MY LIFE GEE I LUV THAT CAR OH THE MEMORY...
Without a doubt the best post Led Zeppelin line-up. The Grace of Charlie Jones on Bass. The mesmering beats of Chris Blackwell, The No nonsense guitar playing of Doug Boyle, The magic fingers of Phil Johnstone on keyboard. Not in this particular video though but when they're really playing they had you rocking. Oh, Let's not forget that fellow with the long curlyhair, I forget his name. lol I love this song, Just love it.
Vocea ta, Domnule Robert Plant, a intrat in ADN-ul nostru - al celor care te iubim ! Pe calea undelor scalare iti trimitem recunostinta si lumina !!!! La multi ani !❤
I have absolutely no recollection of doing this at all! It was always awful having to mime, especially to a drum machine, but that's how it was back then. 99% of TV was mimed with very few exceptions. Thanks for posting ... it's like watching somebody else!
I saw the pads on the drum kits and I thought that must feel very restricting and frustrating CB. It sure must be nice to be able to look back in your life and see it through the magic of video though. Me? I would just keep thinking" I'm getting old. Great memories of going to the concerts though. I oftened wonder if artists watch their videos from way back.
But you were there. Amazing stories I'm sure. I remember hearing this song in college. I thought is was great as the music industry was changing. Your comment actually caught my attention.
Great comment….. I was 19 in 1969 and by then LZ proved to me that the greatest rock band had arrived and would never be overtaken with that kind of pure natural talent. Many came close. RP’s vocals were just amazing and still are at his age…. take some time and check out his and Allison’s stuff.

Kind of funny seeing the 1988 lineup miming to the 1983 original version of the song. And equally odd is the drummer miming Phil Collin's drum machine.
Het is alleen geen live versie. Hij playbackt de studio versie uit 1983. Ik heb de single hier al jaren liggen en Robert playbackt de track. Wel nog steeds een zeer fijn liedje.
@oksana_sharshova yes unfortunately for him and Maureen. Before or sometime after, he dated Shirley her sister. All total he has 5 children and is grandfather
This is probably one of the best cases to wonder... did they actually get RP and the band to lip sync to the folks in the studio. Or did he/they tell the producers to fook of wankers and they played live for the actual fans there, let the tv monkeys overdub it to their hearts content. Gotta believe there is at least ONE band that said broadcast what you want, but we are NOT lip syncing for these fans standing here... lol Would like to think if there was anyone from the halls of rock royalty to do it, it would be RP to grab a led zep and say I got your lip sync right here.
No, we mimed. Most TV back then was mimed, sometimes the vocal was live and the band mimed but on the whole you just turned up, mimed for a bit, then buggered off to the bar.
I will never skip through this song, no matter how many times it catches my eye. I’m also very nostalgic about the song Moonlight in Samos.♥♥♥♥♥♥

I often wonder what happened to that '55 Robert drove in the video. A priceless car given the company it has kept !!!!

Isn't the guitar played by Robbie Blunt?
@@foliumofdescartes7949 Yes, He played guitar in earlier line-ups but in this video the guitarist is Doug Boyle. Another fantastic guitarist.
yep doug boyle miming to robbie blunt
Chris is in the comments here. Admits this is mime and doesn't remember the performance.

You sounded fantastic on drums from all the live shows I’ve heard from the 1988 and 1990 tours. Thanks for all that you did!
@@0xaero842 Thank you, very kind words! x
You were one of the best drummers Robert ever had@@chiswaah
Love this song I can set,and listen to this for hours.
Very sparkly sweet song for this friday night. Beautiful!
The song that gets me during the wee wee hours. Should I rest for awhile
Thank you Sir ! For sharing this awesome video! My humble obeisances to Robert Plant and his band! No words to express my reverence to this music!

It's always unfortunate when tv shows force an artist to mime.
Right!? I've been trying to find an actual live version of this song. Not one lip syncing like this or dubbed ones. So far I havent.

I suppose technically Phil was miming to his own drum machine before me ... it's a vicious circle I tell you, a vicious circle!
@@chiswaah Yes indeed! It makes one's head spin, for sure :)
I would've much preferred a live performance.
Merci ! ❤

Ох уж эти телевизионщики со своими фонограммами. Ну Плант же умеет петь, ну зачем вы его под фонограмму выступать заставили...

Robert Plant was born in 1948. Now he is 75 years old. Probably, he is a divorced man, but I'm not sure .
