Great video guys Longhorn looks like a must see amazing place but it also seems like after you do the main tour there isn't a whole lot to do (at least compared to alot of other parks) Inks lake state park isn't that far. I plan on going to longhorn early then moving on to Inks lake. Once I get back to texas in the fall I'll be visiting a lot of parks and you guys have been a big help in letting me know info about many of the places I plan to go
We think that's a great plan! Longhorn is rather small, so combining the two will be very easy. We're so glad to hear we've been helpful! You just made our day! 🥰
Caverns are nice places to see. Have you been to Natural Bridge Caverns in Texas yet? It is really pretty. Mother Neff State park - not too far from Waco, Tx. has some nice walking trails and an overlook tower. Best to visit this park in spring/early summer -as full on summer is way too hot and dry. Thumbs up on your videos. Hope y'all are staying cool!
Thanks for watching! We haven't done Natural Bridge yet, but we would love to go sometime. We did go to Moth Neff last year and it was one of our favorites. Such a beautiful park! We fully agree that full summer is too hot, especially this year 🥵 we had hoped to do a few more parks in July/August, but I'm really thinking we'll push it to fall. Hope you're staying cool in this heat too!
If you are ever on US Hwy 10 heading west to or thru Sonora Tx, stop at The Caverns of Sonora. Billions of crystalline formations to see. THEN if you are ever in SW New Mexico, stop at Carlsbad Caverns National Park. 750 ft underground, 200 ft ceilings and one room, The Big Room, which is a mile and one/quarter to walk around it's perimeter. It does require a reservation so call first. Also, take the Natural entrance, not the elevator, to enter. You'll thank me afterwards.
Yes, you can only go in the cave with a tour. They have tons a day though! We got in very easily. We bought tickets when we got there for the next available spots.
Really Great Video. You captured the main points of the tour! We toured Dec 2022, while looking back over my pictures, I could not remember why I took them. Thank you so much. I did subscribe to capture more videos.
We're so glad you enjoyed it! And thank you so much for watching and subscribing. 💗 We're hoping to get back to state parks in 2023. We've still got 49 to check off the list!
Great video guys

That sounds AMAZING!! Thanks for the advice!
Do you have to schedule a tour in order to see the cave?
Yes, you can only go in the cave with a tour. They have tons a day though! We got in very easily. We bought tickets when we got there for the next available spots.
Do they allow people to walk around and film without a tour?
No, the only way to see the cavern is on a tour. The cave system is pretty extensive in there and they don't want anyone getting lost.

When I was young, I went in a few caves in the Guadeloupe Mountains in west Texas, that few people knew about!
