Knowing how Missilis treats their Nikkes, it makes me wonder what Laplace and Drake was like before they became Nikkes…
those 2 are probably the case of having special brain structure that help them bear the pressure and utilize their gear to the fullest potential, man I mean Drake even had a special ability which not every nikke has. So of course they would pass any of Missilis's test from the get go
That point is pretty interesting too. Considering Laplace is the only one who bothers calling Syuen her friend, I would imagine she was complicit with Syuen's attitude for a long time.

Well Matis was Syuen’s personally made NIKKE which pushed her to be the CEO she is.
It’s both her blessing and the cause of her many flaws.
i think they were brainwashed to see what and how strong would nikke be if one wanted to be a hero and the other a villain but this is just a speculation
I like how Marciana's bond story was a complete tonal whiplash from the event.
On a sadder note, her difficulty with opening up and acknowledging her love for cute things might stem from the guilt and obligation she felt towards her students..
She has a really good outpost story with Cocoa as well!

The Missilis industry has been pretty much the cause a lot of screw up event happening in the Ark. Syuen's taking over slowed down the company's growth and with Tetra and Elysions innovating rapidly, she went for the unethical path to success. Look at some of the Nikkes in Missilis, they are pretty questionable and screwed up like Yuni and Mihara of Wardress, Crow and Jackal from Exotic, Ether from M.M.R. and Anna who was use as an experiment by Missilis researcher where they lied and took money from her mother for "helping" Anna. Heck, Guilty, Sin and Quency, Nikke criminals that are too dangerous to Ark society that you have rehabilitate are all from Missilis.
Keep in mind that Syuen did not approve of Anne's treatment in her bond story, the researcher was canned.

Believe it or not, Snow White is INDIRECTLY RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL THE TRAGEDIES TO THE NIKKES.

Thing is, while it's very easy to blame Syuen since we see her evil first hand during the campaign, she is not the one that got the ball rolling in Missilis being evil incarnate behind close doors.
Most of the Nikkes you just listed were created long before she took over. Far as we know, she's only directly responsible for the creation of Matis (which is like Missilis best).
Remember, Cecil left the Ark for Eden BECAUSE of the fucked up shit MMR was responsible in her time, which was decades before Syuen.

I'm really liking Nikke story, it doesn't just focus on the main story in the campaign but there are many different branches in the story that is often showed through the event stories, taking over the surface is the main goal, but there is a lot of power abuse and questionable practices in the ark, without mentioning the struggle in the outer rim and The constant menace from the terrorist group Heavenly ascension, I wonder how the commander will tackle all of that? Something I learned from shift up story telling from their previous work (destiny child) I'm sure we're in for a ride full of twists and turns, and I'm all for it 😊
I think the central government is very corrupt and comfy with the ark that they higher up don’t care about the surface anymore any want to keep the Elitism going to be in power. Doban was going to have every man woman and young child public shot in the outer rim because he find them annoying and disgusting. The rapture wasn’t even his main threat as he couldn’t care less. And the ark is exposed to the raptures.
Possibly the commander ends up going crazy at some point similar to Anakin Skywalker. and becomes a Nikke version of Kratos, Dimitri (fire emblem three houses) Megaman X of Megaman Zero or Guts.
Nikke main story is in overzone event keks. Campaign story is meh at best. But all event story so far is best. Well to be fair, campaign story probably still in the first part of overall story when we just got world building and character introduction. Expect the main story to get better from this point onwards.
@@notintovtuber2945 yeah, even with the awaited 1st year anniversary, Nikke still a baby, so we still have a long road ahead of us, and as time goes on, not just new nikkes and heretics will be introduced, but hopefully the commander will be flesh out even further, because he is probably one of the most mysterious character in the story.
nikke is the only gacha i dont skip event stories, they are all so good, either funny like the doggo one or depressing like this one

Something that worries me is now that the Gnome (Syuen) is no longer running the show there is a risk that the next CEO for Missilis might be worse than she was.

Shift up is starting to make this more of a depression game instead of a fun and horny one 😅. Also Marciana became one of my favorites after the event.
The horny was just a bait xD, in all seriousness though it's kinda hard to expect fun when the story takes place in a messed up post-apocalyptic world.

Entering the school felt like Lost Judgment, there's a mystery there but you don't know what...then you realise you walked in on a Night City Scav haunt instead. FR, expecting Missiles to get petitioned for being ground zero of a nuke.

Another amazing video. I can only hope that we get alittle bit more backstory as to why Suyen was so evil and went down the path that she did; maybe when she is getting turned into a Nikke along with E.H. Hoping Shift Up One Year for Nikke is jam packed with closing out some unanswered questions and giving the ones who love the lore some more hefty portions.
It seems like because of her entitlement and growing up spoiled, but yeah it could be more than that

Syuen, came from humble beginnings and made MATIS to what it is.
With all the success she gain in such a short span of time, change her for the worst, all NIKKEs that aren’t MATIS are trash to her.
And she started seeing MATIS as tools for her own gain, she doesn’t care for anything under her, which made Missilis a haven of corruption and shady dealings.
Syuen is the prime example of mankinds darkness born from earnest and success.
Dorothy, Anne... now add Marciana to the list of Nikkes I wish I can give a hug to. 😥

I very much enjoyed the format and visual aids of this one, it felt like something out of the Story Recapped channel but for Nikke. Would love if a playlist was made with a summary like this of every single Nikke event story.

P.S: Glad I wasn't alone on hating Ether alongside Syuen and Crow.
Ether only cares about her experimental tests until we, the commander, volunteered in order to save some NIKKEs from her “tests”. From her bond story was “the abyss of evil” is almost saying “the necessarily of evil” and she even gave the commander a hint that something is wrong with the academy. Marciana confronted Ether about it but both side raise an good points and both made a truce.

This may be a obvious remark but this may be pointing us out that the next main story chapter is going to show (since the anniversary is coming soon) :
1) the consequences of Syuen dismisal as a CEO
2)they are proably going to hide the real reasons of the dismissal , since for public to know this will affect not just syuen but missils as a whole and I think enikk thinks mssils is still needed.
3) How will this affect the power balance n the ark ?
PD: is someone else bothered by the fact we never see tercera? (Fun fact Tercera means "third " in spanish and we see Marciana mention a student called uno which means "first")
Tercera got the Holst treatment, so it seems. lol
I love dark stories. My problem is I don't get the SATISFACTION of butchering/torturing those guilty of causing those tragedies. Syuen, Crow, Viper comes to mind and upper hierarchy of Arks. I'm getting tired of sucking it up. Reminds of PGR.
there are the instances too when the commander does or dont do what is nessesary and that makes a mess later like not doing anything for mihara when she was memory wiped and that caused yuni to go mad and he didnt say anything when crow and exotic shoot him or folding at every syuen demand to the point of leading raptures to the ark.

I mean, the guy lacks development, he has a flat personality, he is useless, he does nothing and the worst thing is that he is still completely stuck with that ideology "all Nikkes must be saved" and for that reason alone he saves Vyper, who literally deserves death along with either. but No, since they are Nikkes, he treats them kindly without questioning anything. and also because they are Waifus for the Simps.
and not to mention that the MC says he cares about Nikkes, but only shows concern about Counters.
I mean in chapter 24 the MC doesn't want to do anything to Crow despite all the deaths he is causing but ohhhh surprise, she only wants to kill Crow when the latter makes her believe that she killed Counters.
And the worst thing is that they use "arguments" like: "it's a self insert, don't ask for much" or "he has amnesia, that's why he is like that"
And let me just tell you one thing:
As far as I remember, in Fire Emblem Awakening the Avatar (which is a self insert) and he also has amnesia, at no time did I see him behaving like an idiot or a useless person who does nothing. On the contrary, Robin did almost everything, he helped Chrom, he showed why he was important in the story and why he deserves the title of the best strategist.
or they even try to justify saying "the commander is special, his blood is unique and makes the nikkes exploit their authentic power"
but it is the ONLY notable thing about the mc because in the rest... it is Useless.
Even Rapi is treated more like the protagonist instead of the MC because the latter they say is the protagonist, NOT Rapi.
and also the commanders of girls frontline, snowpeak and others have more personality and prove to be a great help.
like the one from girls frontline who has training in combat, use of weapons and an excellent strategist.
Not like Nikke's MC who is only there to sleep with Nikkes.
In conclusion, the Nikke commander is only and exclusively to make the sexual desires and fetishes of the developers and players come true instead of giving them development.
Even the commander readers of the Wattpad fanfics are better developed and with better personality and that is saying a lot coming from that page.

I'm so glad I was paying attention to this event. I was really shocked to see how f-ed up that school is and I can't imagine how much pressure and stress Marciana went through just to witness and bear the horrible cycle seeing a few numbers of the students went through reset over time and then sent to the lab if they failed 3 times not knowing their final fate would be. Great event tho

Regarding this im not too sure if Syuen is really aware of this, on the christmas event she treathten to kill those responsible for extorsion on Anne Mother cause she wasnt informed of it, could some of her higher ups doing the dirty work

it's either:
- She was aware and turned a blind eye. Plausible deniability.
- Syuen is actually legit unaware of what happened.

I love missilis units alot they're my favorite manufacturer but the things they do behind closed doors is crazy. I kinda hope they give us a event where we see who eas running missilis before syuen. Maybe liter can tell us or something 😭
Haven't rolled Ether and my only reference is the event. what's she like outside the event that you didn't like her before it?

I think these events are a result of the goverment want to maintain the status quo. The know how to build strong nikke like the pilgrams seemed lost and Missilis is under pressure to create the next Matis if not a stronger version. So they use extrem messures to ensure results, but here we have the circle of failure of the system. Not good enough commanders. Nikkes under enorm pressure and a high failure rate. Like i said it is a system to hold the status quo without great results. Maybe next Matis but not more. Not enough to reclaim the surface but enough to secure the ark. Its nasty and surely Syuen and Ether are player in this game but real culprits sitting a lot higher, if you ask me. It will be very interesting in the future events!
Actually The Ark can’t advance the pilgrim. Absolute and Matis is the Ark best of the best and the pilgrim can destroy with ease. That why the ark so desperate to capture Pilgrim tech. And they are willing to sacrifice the human race to allow the Elites to live. No wonder rapture don’t attack early they know the humans will kill there selves.
In my opinion, they'll never be able to make something like the Goddess Squad, since many people in the ARK lost their humanity(Nikkephobes that bites the hand that feeds them, Suyen, Ether, the Central Government, Suyen, etc). Otherwise it's weird that another goddess squad hadn't been recreated.
but that would be meaningless. If they want to replicate the goddess squad then why didn't they allow Dorothy and company to enter? that doesn't make sense.

Pretty similar to the cyberpsychosis of cyberpunk. Nikke go mentally nuts in different ways. Happens either if their memory is full or the "disconnect" between their human mind and robot body becomes unignorable.
Mind Switch refers to a phenomenon where a Nikke's brain suffers permanent damage or alteration, often resulting in a psychotic break and going on a rampage. The most common cause of Mind Switch is anything that reminds Nikkes that they are fundamentally not human, but can also occur if Nikkes (particularly Pilgrims) suffer a memory overload in their NIMPH.

You know Missilis gets a lot of shit because they are in the spotlight a lot but in reality none of the other manufacturers are that much better. For Elysion you can see glimpses of that through the female commander side story, Eunhwa and Crow's bond stories. For Mustang keep in mind he controls the mass media and information yet not only is Nikkephobia & the abuse of Nikkes is widespread but the reality of commanders is hidden, I kinda view him as the same as Enikk he takes some care of them but doesn't care to sacrifice them if in the grand scheme of things it benefits the humans.
Plus Mustang is voiced by Dio's VA, now that's a red flag.

The whole point of our team is that these students that DID pass with Cummander WERE the ones that were due permanent reset and sending to lab. This is the reason Marciana chose them. There were others who got reset but likely weren't pending Lab Ratting.
Also Missilis is prob the best company the Ark has, we've yet to see all the dirty hands as they started with Missilis.
Also "CROW BAD" is subjective. Her methods are extreme but her motives are just in her eyes. She wants Nikkes to rise up and separate from the Ark (just the goddess falls) because the Ark can only ever believe in controlling and subjugating Nikke. She's just speeding up what we will eventually come across later as the commander.
Also people of the ark see as Nikke as machines, they're not people you and I may say that it's unethical what they're doing Nikke still have human brains the Ark citizens don't see it as such. They're tools and Missilis intends to be advance it far passed the other manufacturers that only intend to either focus on military spam or control underground.
We have yet to see the hands shown, make no mistake. Although Missilis we've seen has done a lot we've yet to not see anything from Tetra / Elysian. AKA the Redhood creator and the organized crime manufacturer.
I feel as though people think there are "good" companies in Nikke but quiet literally they're all bad people with different motives. Many of which know many truths of the passed and many that choose to do nothing of it.
This game's lore never fails to convince me that humanity doesn't deserve to exist
The only humanity that DOES deserve to exist is Eden.
Seeing this, the hatred that the inhabitants of Eden have for the Ark is increasingly justified and Eden the Nikkes are treated like any other person.
The fact that the Ark government wants to locate Eden is to erase them from the map. I mean they see Eden as a threat to their plans, just think the fact that they want to locate the pilgrim to use them to power the ark supports that they use the Rapture invasion as a pretext to keep the people under control.
Man... NIKKE pulled is in by image alone, only to use the story to give people a mental and emotional breakdown.
