Little tip which might be useful: Your rebels spawn with your units. So you can downgrade your units to 1444 version, let rebels spawn. Then take cutting edge units for yourself. Your troops will lose morale but your enemy will be a lot weaker.
oh yeah, I'm aware of this. Used to get cav to tech 2 or 3 in mp games, but then I baited myself as I forgot to upgrade canons on an important tech so I stopped doing so since then :D
it used to be much worse on realease, they reduced the amount of admin and mil ideas you had to complete to get out of disaster by one and many other things but mostly ideas were the bad part. I remember having to delete one idea group just to pay 1k pp each to complete another one which took ages. Wasn't even touching tech at all and stopped expanding completely due to my army turning into wet paper. overall disaster slowed me down for around 60 ish years because of the idea group requirement
this was after the decadence disasters were nerfed. twice. when domination first dropped decadence disasters were practically impoissible to get rid of. harem disaster itself cost me 80 years of game time to get rid of because it wanted 15 total mana point leader and when decadence kicks in you no longer get harem heir event. for 80 years i waited the true righteous pretender rebel with 555 or 666 stats to come up. and i am not even gonna mention the jannisary revolts and the general debuffs of the decadence itgself. i deleted all my forts because thats how useless they were with -80% defence
I played this game for years and never tried iron man before. The first time I tried iron man was after this dlc came out and I wanted to play a iron man save with ottomans. It was fun until decadence hit for literally just because of age and 0 privilage 0 influence 5k janissaries destroy my country like anime characters.
@Florencekk my first iron-man campaign was a ottomans one also, but years ago when. Ironman ottomans can still work but with the recent dlc one has to prepare themselves for the incoming decadence disasters.

tbh, Paradox shouldve made us change the tag to Turkey after enacting last mission of the new dawn and give new ideas also i don't know how you would get these bonuses in a mp game since decadence kills your nation for couple years. Anyway Great and helpful video as always!
Remember @zlewick when i wrote under your domination release video how the dlc is bugged and lost 2 runs , 1 ottomans and 1 china . Now you can feel at least 10% of my pain . Thanks god they fixed tons of stuff in .5
Using eyalets instead of making cores seems lower the quantity of rebels. It seems dependent on the Ottoman's own development. When I fight this disaster with 10000 dev with no eyalets, 800k rebels pops in capital 😖 It took all my manpower to win the damn rebels

Couldn't you just cancel privileges by Kongo monument? If I recall correctly due to that monument you can cancel privileges regardless of the influence, you just need to accept Congolese culture.
@@ZlewikkTV I love the M'banza-Kongo monument, because you can quickly maximize your max absolutism and rush the Court And Country disaster. And with your trick of stating and destating provinces you even quicker take benefits of absolutism.
so many merch i know from colonies comes 1 merch with 10 province i think this came from trade company. so many menu items that i dont have .. i play wiht base game rights of men common sense and art of war.

@@ZlewikkTV The tier 2 devshrime system is what I assume he is talking about since that gave 10 loyalty and influence for the Jans so switching it out for the weaker "upgrade" might have helped a bit. 17:27

I really appreciate PDX updating the archaic "conquer this, get claims on that" mission trees but this looks very convoluted.
I actually prefer the old more straightforward missions. The new ones after the west african update are too complicated.\

it took me 80years. i was 2 tech ahead of all nations when it started. by the end i was 6 techs behind everyone.
