One of advantages of maining rare co-op characters is that you can be sure no one else will use them. When I only started doing coop, I was surprised that Yanfei is a very rare character to meet (or maybe I'm just unlucky). I remember meeting only 1, Korean dude on Raiden boss
I almost never have to fight other players to play Yanfei. Often I get "your Yanfei is so strong" comments and I guess this is why. Sad because she's such a great DPS for a 4 star.
It’s probably because she’s a 4 star, i play beidou and i’ve only ever met 1 other beidou player. Sure bennett is common in co op, but usually people dont know how to synergize with teammates and whip out their 5 star c6 triple crown DPS character and then die immediately because no one wants to play a healer

no. amber mains are so terrible i met an amber main and they did triple digits, they were ar 48 and were so weak they didn’t even have signora unlocked.

I did a thing, back when i was fighting raiden for a month or 2, i did a list of the most used characters in the raiden co-op, the most used ones are: 1. Bennett with a total of 66 times used 2. Sangonomiya Kokomi with a total of 38 times used 3. Yelan With a total of 36 times used 4. Zhongli - 33 times used 5. Kaedehara Kazuha - 30 times used 6. Raiden Shogun - 29 Times used The least used: Amber, Thoma, Aloy, Sucrose, Albedo, Xinyan with only 1 times used Razor and Gorou weren't used at all.. I started this only recently, but I'll see in the future and Bennett is probably gonna have 100+ times used😂 (only ASIA server)

I am a Noelle main and back when I didn't have Kokomi I used Noelle in domains all the time, also i love to play as the healer. My Noelle was C5 back then so she couldn't do a lot dmg but ensured the team's survivability. I love her sm
When I first started playing coop domains, I almost always chose Noelle. Mine's been C6 for quite awhile. She can heal very effectively provided people aren't being stupid plus she hits like a truck. On many occasions, she's also ends up being the last girl standing and still manages to carry the day solo. In Raiden fights if someone picks a Zhongli or Itto, I will choose Noelle as they will absolutely demolish Raiden in short order - one or two cycles at most.
Im one of those players who main chongyun but are too afraid to bring him in co-op domains. I only bring him (chongyun and sometimes yanfei and heizou too) when i help low ar players since most of them are chill and dont care who i pick.
i feel like they should just add amber, kaeya and lisa in banners, or maybe have them more common in standard. like there's no other way other than the shop. and with the amount of new characters we get, it becomes less and less possible to even get one lol
As a Kaeya main since starting, I can confirm lmao. He's the whole reason I even ended up finally getting genshin, since I don't play games really at all. Everyone is always so shocked when I bring him for domains and bosses, since I switched my namecard and icon to Kazuha a bit back from Kaeya's, so I always run those two in co-op...then they flip out when they see Kaeya with his mistsplitter lmao...and I have my showcase locked since it's a joke set up rn, but when I've had it unlocked, I've gotten so many messages because the mistsplitter is r5 and people are like tf you have an r5 mistsplitter on Kaeya for lmao. But it's nice cause most people I've joined for stuff don't use him, but I have met some other Kaeya mains and we had a fun time in the open world since you don't see other Kaeya mains much. Shenhe is my favorite female chara and I'm so bummed I started playing right after her banner...I'll become a Shenhe main once she has a rerun and not just to help Kaeya lmao
Former Kaeya main here before I got Ayaka. I too was kicked out of co-op because I mained Kaeya but I ended up soloing and carrying my whole team many times. I still sometimes use Kaeya by sharing artifacts with Ayaka just because I miss him soo much.
As a Kaeya main the fact that you have an R5 Misplitter on him makes me cry of want. I have Aquila Favonia on him ATM, I pray for the day that I can pull that or Jade Cutter for him. 😤

i've played genshin for a little over a year now and i've only met 1 other kaeya main even tho i co op almost all my domains. we instantly became friends and talked for quite a while after the others have left i still called myself a kaeya main but unfortunately he doesn't do too much damage due to the physical build, i'm working on a cryo set for him atm while farming for my thoma a 3rd different build
I mained Aloy since her arrival at the game, it was literally my first crowned character. But a lot of people in co-op started to pull me out of their worlds even when they didn't even catch on her dmg. I spent a lot of effort and time in making her great, but it fell so sad to be always pull apart that I stopped using her. She is amazing in everyway, as well as Xinyan, my two favs.
For me, the most rare character probably Aloy. I main geo, so sometimes i go with Gorou or Yunjin in coop. Also i saw a Yunjin main once, in Signora's domain, and it was really fun, because the team decided to play optimally that time and they all go as a supports while i went as a dps, and the team synergy was really good. The best coop i ever had. I also see Thoma, Xinyan, Lisa and Razor a lot in Mond's talent domain. I also see Kaeya and Amber in different old domains like that thunder set or shimenawa's one. But i literally never saw Aloy in coop, even once. That's why i'm thinking on building my Aloy, though she's lvl81 just because. Maybe one day, when i'll finish with all my geo friends, i'll start building other characters i like and want to play. Also yesterday i went in coop as lv60 Dori, because the other players wanted to go with Dendro characters and were selfish enough to play all dpses without proper reactions. My Dori had friendship lvl8, and geared her up, so she was healing 2-3k per tik even with lvl4 talents, so it was fine. No one died. Dori was a fun character to use in coop. Her cooldowns though a bit disturbing. I mean i got my ult back rather quick, but it still was on cooldown of 10 seconds. Annoying a bit. Though i still will build her properly one day.
You didn´t see any Aloy in coop because i don´t play coop.

I remember, when I said I use Aloy and Traveler only because I feel more in Aloy game, I used them in dragosnpine domain, more aesthetic feel on my heart!
As a Xinyan main myself, I think it’s a luxury to use her. If you have her c1 her burst can do insane damage doubled with a good shield she is by far my favorite character. And I can use her in coop no problem (:

Coming for a Chongyun mains I love Xinyan she is my favorite pyro 4 star, Amber, Thoma and Yanfei crying in the corner!
One of my first coops was a Sayu person....they just entered my world , rolled around for a few minutes (without responding to my texts) and then left.
I have Sayu, and I took her to coop once. One player told me he'd never seen her in coop before, but she was great and kept everyone alive 😂 my Sayu heala almost 4k with every tick, she's awesome like that. She is my Xiao's constant partner, keeps him in check 😅. I am also building Thoma and Chongyun, and after this video I will be taking them to coop. Also Noelle is perfect for comfortably decking Azhdaha. So great. Once I gave her good artefacts, I could finally battle him solo. I also have Kaeya at lvl 90, and he is such a lovely boy, useful, too.
I’ve built Thoma but he doesn’t do very well by himself. If he had a constellation that also gave a shield to other players in co op, that would be very nice
Yesssssssssss, I was waiting for it, and I'm proudly saying that I am an anemo traveler main))) all the way from AR1 to now AR56(almost 57), I actually have never met other anemo traveler players in coop, sadly now I play her a bit less because I just have a loooooooot of different characters I like and I can only pick 4 of them in my team, that's a pity, but I still love playing her and to be fair I don't think I actually saw ANY traveler mains not only anemo

Back when I started the game I was a Kaeya main. I remember going into a domain back in like 1.2, everyone died pretty early on so I was forced to solo the domain as Kaeya. I did actually do it, and everyone was so surprised because of it.
3:01 i saw a video explaining this, pretty much if you have multiple weapon infusions happening they will cycle through in the way an element can break a sheild i believe

Actually, I have taken Kujou Sara (C6) into coop quite a few times. She's a really decent unit who can buff all her team mates and not just the electro ones. As a general principal, even though I have several strong DPS units, for coop I prefer taking support characters. It actually makes a lot of sense to do this if you think about it. Noelle (C6) being my preferred choice (she's stupid proof). But, usually I wait to see what units the other players choose first and then choose a support for the strongest DPS. I've also take Candace into several coops - she's more situational, but in the right domains and with complementary units, she's extremely effective. At the very least she can off-tank one strong unit solo while the others focus on the others. BTW, today others were nice enough to allow me to take my lvl 70 C3 Layla with a R3 lvl 75 Fav Sword into a domain - she's not even half built (with lvl 0 artifacts) - still she kept her shields up almost 99% of the time - she's a lot better than I thought. No one died but some of them did take some damage. PS. Just because you're shielded doesn't mean you don't need to dodge... But from experience, the best coop runs I have is when everyone chooses characters that support each other. Also, if you're running Kuki Shinobi as a healer, you need to run up to people to heal them so running away from other players when they're trying to get your heals is not very helpful...
I tried the c6 bennet and Chongyun and Candace burst infusion, before 3.2 it used to work in a specific order and I could freeze enemies with normal attacks because the element application order was like cryo>hydro>cryo>hydro and pyro wouldn’t apply but now in 3.2 it doesn’t seem to work anymore for me
yay someone else who says Cookie Shinobu also i got Dori yesterday and have somewhat built her i'll be sure to use her in co-op and i use electro traveler when im not using Nilou
as a Klee main in open and coop there is a pretty decent amount of people who still use her in domains, I see maybe one or so a week, very rarely do I have to change my characters tho
I have Kazuha and is -always kneeling in front of his altar- but trust me, Anemo Traveler is also really good. Out of the four Traveler Elements, Anemo is my first and foremost favorite. I find it way easier to build(VV artifacts with the right stats), and I always play with swirl.
I really like hu tao I have played a bit but my sister plays more.I want to play also but don't have the time but hu tao is so relatable in my opinion and she gives me Inspiration.
Eyyy proud Razor, Kaeya, and Amber main here 🙌 haha! Razor and Kaeya are both C6 and triple crowned :) I remember when I used Amber in Cecilia domain, one of the rando person said I was trolling lol. This person thought my Amber is not built 😭 And guess what: My Amber's CA dmg are even higher than her dmg haha. *People should not assume that a player is trolling just because they built a "non meta" characters!* Hmp haha. And oh yah, I also built my Thoma. He's even using my spare Homa while Hu Tao is using an R5 Deathmatch haha. I just love spoiling ze husbandos in Genshin lol. I also main Anemo and Geo MC in my alt account. Both are double crowned :) I am planning to build Electro MC next. And yes, I do agree with you: Anemo MC's burst and most specially his skill is just so **chef's kiss** For me, the rarest characters to play in coop are Lisa and Aloy. I haven't played in coop with them! Haha.
i main 3 of the 21 characters you mentioned: Aloy, Noelle, and Xinyan. the fourth main is Beidou, who i think i'd include on the list too. i, at least, just don't run into her that much which is sad because i find her really fun
I'm pretty excited to get Thoma, so I build him as support. Thought I don't play him nowadays, sometimes I'll play him with Childe or ayato, for voiceline of course

There are few occasion you meet people use Razor in coop because I remember fighting the Geo cube box he is one of the best claymore to finish of all the Geo pillar after you drain the geo cube hp.
i have been running with Amber in coop and for two years, based on the anniversary page that tabs your records for best domain companion, i'd say almost 4000 combined runs w my only 5 star Bunny.
The funny thing is, I meet many thoma, amber, aloy, itto, definitely a lot of yanfei and Klee mains but rarely any Raiden, Hutao, xiao and yelan mains ;-;
Candace was my first character I got from wishing, I used her as she was a good shield, I recently got C1 Candace and I do wanna build her, I just need to farm the hero's wits for her, and her boss but that's a different story
While farming today i actually ran into a Xinyan main who was doing better physical damage than the Eula in the group lmao. Like this was a dedicated Xinyan main it was so cool
i have a lot of friends irl i met from school 2 of them are gorou mains who have 5 star bows equipped on him 1 is a xiangling main who wants raiden to improve on her xiangling 1 xinyan main who triple crowned her on her birthday and i have barbara as my dps!! i also have another 1 that mains lumine and has all constellations
A few people have used Shenhe in my worlds, but that’s only really when I use Ganyu. Mostly in co-op tho I use Xinyan, Keqing, Diona, Ganyu and Yoimiya. Sometimes Xiangling if im feeling like it or it might work better for the domain Rarest for me is probably Yun Jin, Chongyun and Beidou. All other characters ive seen in co-op at least 1 or more times (i play too much) (I’ve actually met like 12 Xinyan mians. A decent amount have joined for domains but some have just joined my world normally… but that’s likely because they see i have a Xinyan pfp in-game lol)

I main every Cryo and Hydro characters I love them, I'm saving for C6 Tartaglia, Kaeya, Shenhe, Yelan and Ayato, the rest 5* can wait, but I need their full constellations
i pulled c5, maxed and crowned yunjin on the first few days of her release and eventually got her c6 since we got her free in an event. i was not at all concerned about how useful or strong she would be i just thought she was really pretty
My sibling and I still use anemo and geo traveller since he's very convenient in open world (we also don't have venti and zhongli and we're both saving for them). We don't random coop though we coop with the 2 of us together. But we don't like electro traveller that much...or at least I don't. I'm not really a fan of the electro element, but I like some characters like lisa and sarah (maybe fischl too). I love the reactions it has with other elements though, especially with pyro.
I have plans to build every single character I have. 4* to lvl 80, and 5* to lvl 90. So far I have a lot already build, but so many left too lmao. My only consolation is that all of them have their artifact set ready. I used to play Sara and Gorou in co-op when I was leveling their friendship. I usually build and level up one character at the time. So yeah, don’t pay any attention to the meta, and play whatever you want ❤
I do that too! Like I got Thoma and Sara last fall but I started building them just a month or so ago bc I was busy leveling other characters up one at a time 😅
you only think a character is rare until you main them, im an amber main (machine gun though not as good as that gorou) and i have met so many others doing domains like blizzard or emblem and we fight for who gets to use her. i remember one time we had to take turns smh. also i love bringing gorou into co op if theres an itto or at least 2 other geos otherwise i might not bring him + i only bring thoma if theres a chongyun cause i like using him as cryo

i main anemo travler! i use them in spiral abyss a lot, and only switch to dendro or electro when I want to experiment with different teams :)

I once experienced a full geo team in Azdaha. Albedo, itto, gorou, and at least a c2 zhongli. Never happened again.

Thoma in burgeon teams is so much fun! I’m so glad I built him back then when I didn’t need to pull on the Hu Tao rerun.

One of my first coops was a Sayu person....they just entered my world , rolled around for a few minutes (without responding to my texts) and then left.
As a Chongyun main I am deeply saddened by how little he is used. He is so fun to play and he makes me really happy.
I have Sayu, and I took her to coop once. One player told me he'd never seen her in coop before, but she was great and kept everyone alive 😂 my Sayu heala almost 4k with every tick, she's awesome like that. She is my Xiao's constant partner, keeps him in check 😅.
I am also building Thoma and Chongyun, and after this video I will be taking them to coop.
Also Noelle is perfect for comfortably decking Azhdaha. So great. Once I gave her good artefacts, I could finally battle him solo.
I also have Kaeya at lvl 90, and he is such a lovely boy, useful, too.

I’ve built Thoma but he doesn’t do very well by himself. If he had a constellation that also gave a shield to other players in co op, that would be very nice

Yesssssssssss, I was waiting for it, and I'm proudly saying that I am an anemo traveler main))) all the way from AR1 to now AR56(almost 57), I actually have never met other anemo traveler players in coop, sadly now I play her a bit less because I just have a loooooooot of different characters I like and I can only pick 4 of them in my team, that's a pity, but I still love playing her
and to be fair I don't think I actually saw ANY traveler mains not only anemo

I bring my lv 85 Sara into COop , mostly is to farm for her Card, but people in co-op really like me and switch to Electro DPS when saw that :D

Back when I started the game I was a Kaeya main. I remember going into a domain back in like 1.2, everyone died pretty early on so I was forced to solo the domain as Kaeya. I did actually do it, and everyone was so surprised because of it.

3:01 i saw a video explaining this, pretty much if you have multiple weapon infusions happening they will cycle through in the way an element can break a sheild i believe

Actually, I have taken Kujou Sara (C6) into coop quite a few times. She's a really decent unit who can buff all her team mates and not just the electro ones. As a general principal, even though I have several strong DPS units, for coop I prefer taking support characters. It actually makes a lot of sense to do this if you think about it. Noelle (C6) being my preferred choice (she's stupid proof). But, usually I wait to see what units the other players choose first and then choose a support for the strongest DPS.
I've also take Candace into several coops - she's more situational, but in the right domains and with complementary units, she's extremely effective. At the very least she can off-tank one strong unit solo while the others focus on the others.
BTW, today others were nice enough to allow me to take my lvl 70 C3 Layla with a R3 lvl 75 Fav Sword into a domain - she's not even half built (with lvl 0 artifacts) - still she kept her shields up almost 99% of the time - she's a lot better than I thought. No one died but some of them did take some damage. PS. Just because you're shielded doesn't mean you don't need to dodge...
But from experience, the best coop runs I have is when everyone chooses characters that support each other. Also, if you're running Kuki Shinobi as a healer, you need to run up to people to heal them so running away from other players when they're trying to get your heals is not very helpful...
I tried the c6 bennet and Chongyun and Candace burst infusion, before 3.2 it used to work in a specific order and I could freeze enemies with normal attacks because the element application order was like cryo>hydro>cryo>hydro and pyro wouldn’t apply but now in 3.2 it doesn’t seem to work anymore for me

as a Klee main in open and coop there is a pretty decent amount of people who still use her in domains, I see maybe one or so a week, very rarely do I have to change my characters tho

I have Kazuha and is -always kneeling in front of his altar- but trust me, Anemo Traveler is also really good. Out of the four Traveler Elements, Anemo is my first and foremost favorite. I find it way easier to build(VV artifacts with the right stats), and I always play with swirl.
I really like hu tao I have played a bit but my sister plays more.I want to play also but don't have the time but hu tao is so relatable in my opinion and she gives me Inspiration.

Eyyy proud Razor, Kaeya, and Amber main here 🙌 haha! Razor and Kaeya are both C6 and triple crowned :) I remember when I used Amber in Cecilia domain, one of the rando person said I was trolling lol. This person thought my Amber is not built 😭 And guess what: My Amber's CA dmg are even higher than her dmg haha. *People should not assume that a player is trolling just because they built a "non meta" characters!* Hmp haha. And oh yah, I also built my Thoma. He's even using my spare Homa while Hu Tao is using an R5 Deathmatch haha. I just love spoiling ze husbandos in Genshin lol. I also main Anemo and Geo MC in my alt account. Both are double crowned :) I am planning to build Electro MC next. And yes, I do agree with you: Anemo MC's burst and most specially his skill is just so **chef's kiss**
For me, the rarest characters to play in coop are Lisa and Aloy. I haven't played in coop with them! Haha.

i main 3 of the 21 characters you mentioned: Aloy, Noelle, and Xinyan. the fourth main is Beidou, who i think i'd include on the list too. i, at least, just don't run into her that much which is sad because i find her really fun

I main lisa and I always get compliments on how strong she is, and like nobody uses her so I can always use her in domains that aren’t immune to electro
I always use thoma in coop but when I got Albedo he's my favourite to use in coop now.
There are few occasion you meet people use Razor in coop because I remember fighting the Geo cube box he is one of the best claymore to finish of all the Geo pillar after you drain the geo cube hp.
as a kaeya main i will ALWAYS use him. if i see anyone else using him i pull out the c6 triple crowned card

i have been running with Amber in coop and for two years, based on the anniversary page that tabs your records for best domain companion, i'd say almost 4000 combined runs w my only 5 star Bunny.

I always use Shenhe in Raiden boss coop, and my teammates will change their characters to Cryo (Ayaka, Ganyu and Diona to be exact)

Candace was my first character I got from wishing, I used her as she was a good shield, I recently got C1 Candace and I do wanna build her, I just need to farm the hero's wits for her, and her boss but that's a different story

I’m Shenhe and Kaeya sometimes. I’ve even carried a domain co-op with Shenhe once. Quite intense since I was just being the support character lol
If Klee's Q stays when she is off-field. She will be a must-have character like Yelan.
As a kaeya main it’s nice to be able to play the domains without fighting over character lol

While farming today i actually ran into a Xinyan main who was doing better physical damage than the Eula in the group lmao. Like this was a dedicated Xinyan main it was so cool

A few people have used Shenhe in my worlds, but that’s only really when I use Ganyu.
Mostly in co-op tho I use Xinyan, Keqing, Diona, Ganyu and Yoimiya. Sometimes Xiangling if im feeling like it or it might work better for the domain
Rarest for me is probably Yun Jin, Chongyun and Beidou. All other characters ive seen in co-op at least 1 or more times (i play too much) (I’ve actually met like 12 Xinyan mians. A decent amount have joined for domains but some have just joined my world normally… but that’s likely because they see i have a Xinyan pfp in-game lol)
I finished building Thoma, and he’s on my team too. When I did a video about my Genshin team, I put “highly underrated” for him

I main every Cryo and Hydro characters I love them, I'm saving for C6 Tartaglia, Kaeya, Shenhe, Yelan and Ayato, the rest 5* can wait, but I need their full constellations
i pulled c5, maxed and crowned yunjin on the first few days of her release and eventually got her c6 since we got her free in an event. i was not at all concerned about how useful or strong she would be i just thought she was really pretty
My sibling and I still use anemo and geo traveller since he's very convenient in open world (we also don't have venti and zhongli and we're both saving for them). We don't random coop though we coop with the 2 of us together. But we don't like electro traveller that much...or at least I don't. I'm not really a fan of the electro element, but I like some characters like lisa and sarah (maybe fischl too). I love the reactions it has with other elements though, especially with pyro.

I've brought my C6 Bennett into the Cryo artifact domain multiple times but no one has yet to notice XD.
I have plans to build every single character I have. 4* to lvl 80, and 5* to lvl 90. So far I have a lot already build, but so many left too lmao. My only consolation is that all of them have their artifact set ready. I used to play Sara and Gorou in co-op when I was leveling their friendship. I usually build and level up one character at the time. So yeah, don’t pay any attention to the meta, and play whatever you want ❤
I do that too! Like I got Thoma and Sara last fall but I started building them just a month or so ago bc I was busy leveling other characters up one at a time 😅

you only think a character is rare until you main them, im an amber main (machine gun though not as good as that gorou) and i have met so many others doing domains like blizzard or emblem and we fight for who gets to use her. i remember one time we had to take turns smh. also i love bringing gorou into co op if theres an itto or at least 2 other geos otherwise i might not bring him + i only bring thoma if theres a chongyun cause i like using him as cryo
