Niwot's Chamber Singers and Evenstar were supposed to sing "Omnia Sol" by Z. Randall Stroope at NHS's March choir concert. Like so many schools and performing arts facilities, this performance, along with many other incredible pieces by Niwot's 5 choirs, was cancelled due to Covid-19.
This piece had become an immediate favorite in rehearsals before we all moved to online learning, so when the possibility of doing a virtual choir came up, this song was the obvious choice. While the song was initially learned in class by Chamber Singers and Evenstar, we opened up the project to members of the other 3 choirs at Niwot, as well as staff and alumni. The response was incredible.
In no way will a virtual performance replace that of a live performance. What these singers have accomplished here is incredibly inspiring, and we truly cannot wait for the day when we can make music together again. Our hope is that this virtual performance will provide you with some joy.
