This week Britpart has challenged us to race their Discovery II that we built last year, 400 miles from Scotland back to their HQ, all before Alex can engine swap a Series Land Rover with a V8. To make matters more complicated; Ethan and Jack will have to show off the Discovery's abilities and take it to the top of a mountain, touch the sea, onto three wheels and more before they make it back to the Britpart HQ. Who will win?

I called that some time ago before Alex ventured for himself. Their cheap car road trips were superb! They were really on to something special, have they continued with the formula. I was a big fan, whereas not so much of Alex's new channel.

Jack and Ethan’s chemistry gets better every episode and I love it!!
Man it's usually fun with Jack, Ethan and the rest of the boys, but when Alex joins in, it's just perfect. You do notice his absence and all three of them together bring something, that very few crews ever actually managed to do - unrivaled chemistry. I don't care what anyone else says - these 3 are the next generation Top Gear. Each one of them bring something unique and is missed dearly when not with the other 2.
Come on, give Jack and ethan a chance, they have to work by themselves now. If you ask me, they arent any worse
@@aidarhelpswithenglish4160 I'm not saying they are worse. Even when i'm watching Alex's videos, i miss Ethan and Jack, despite Alex2 being quite an eye candy. You just can't create chemistry out of thin air. Each and every single one of them is missed when he is not in the video.
This is the closest to top gear you can get with the original 3 stooges and they each have all the same attributes as the combined trio. Your videos make my day and seeing all three of you in a video is mint.

@@lo0nyt0onz I couldn't watch car trek for very long. They blatantly disregard any and all rules and its a bit boring to see them pulling up with cars that are 3x the budget in the title
@Philipe Goulet fair point, but despite the prices, all the cars are crap. It's still entertaining. With a lack of grand tour these days, anything following the formula I enjoy. And they have good chemistry
Love the two channels but it's nice to see the trio together. Need another car challenge where you all start on Alex's sofa 👍

This is great to see the Car Throttle back again. Great Twist on an old, but great TopGear challenge. I could go for this again. This is the most British thing I've seen all week and I have worked on many Land Rovers.
I'm new to top gear (surprising yes) and was wondering what episode the referenced challenge is as its very entertaining

@@Dunkelzeitgeist I'm assuming it's the common Land Rover V8. It would be the most logical guess since it's the easiest swap for them.
Since the oil filler cap seems to be on the passenger side valve cover and it has rounded head covers, its very likely to be a land rover v8, as @shona has guessed.

You three NEED to start your own channel. You are greater together than the sum of your parts. Brilliantly entertaining. Car throttle is nothing without the three of you so why not just go and do it yourselves.
I disagree Alex's channel with Taylor is funnier/more entertaining to watch.

Will only be one off episodes, on the odd occasion, say maybe once or twice a year, as it wasn't successful enough for CT to keep it going, by memory. Can't remember who said it, though. Might have been in response to a question somewhere.
