Wow another incredible lesson learnt how to draw from the scratch. You are one of the best instructor for me so far! Falling in love with your videos. Great job.
Thanks TTT, awesome video!!! For some reason, when I apply a chamfer to an edge and then I want to add small fillets to smoots the sharp edges, the feature cannot be applied, only after the sheet metal part is finished. But if I apply those fillets after this features, the flat pattern does not reflect that.... any ideas how to tackle that? Thank you !!!!
When I got to do the "Flange 2" part the flange went in the opposite direction to yours even though I followed every step exactly. To complete the "Partial Flange" bit I had to do the "Up to entity" mirrored as when I tried to do it by flipping the flange direction the same as your step I couldn't get the dialogue box to show the partial flange in order to the offset (2"). Any ideas why Toby? Finished the model ok with a bit of a play and work around using the 2nd offset bit of the dialogue box. Loving the tutorials by the way. Great work and many thanks for your efforts. Liked and subscribed!
You didn't imput bend allowance/deduction or K factor to allow for stretch. Is that already assigned to the material? Every fab shop uses different tooling and will get different numbers so your flat patterns may come out wrong.
Again, you are the best CAD teacher around!
Awww yeah!

Awesome thanks so much for the kind words and glad these tutorials are helpful!

I need the unfold function. Where do I find it?
What exactly does it mean to set the bend relief type to "tear"? As opposed to the other 2 options?
basically you will have a little "pooching" at the end of each bend radius. This is important for the corners when having perp. bends
Is there anything like a mitered edge flange. Where you can sketch the edge flange than pick the edges you want it to apply to. Like in solidworks?
Nice and thanks!
awww yeah glad this helped!
Hoe do you put the flat view in a drawing?
Pressing n on keyboard
I could not see how you managed to put the angle at 6:40... noob of mine..
ok... wathing at 50% speed I saw how you selected both lines and compass appeared... thx !
@@rcjarvis Nice glad you find this one!
GG @TooTallToby!
Thanks Airwick!!
