Welcome to my channel! This is a music reaction channel. For the longest time, I've loved creating content on the internet. I started off with a gaming channel right here on UA-cam, which eventually turned into a Twitch gaming channel, but as time has gone on I've evolved into doing other things on UA-cam. For years now I've wanted to create a music channel on UA-cam, and recently just figured "why not?", so it’s time to give this a go! Give me any suggestion you have for music reactions, and I will do my best to get around to them. As music has fallen further out of my life, I figured this would be a great time to get reintroduced to music.

They used this song on the tv series “Family Ties”!!
I was the first DJ to play in America this song and it was my first Gold Record. Heard it first on Family Ties. Called up the label and asked for a promo copy. They weren’t aware it was on TV the night before. They said they couldn’t get me a copy because it was out of print for the previous 6 years!
Finally found a copy at the used record store, played it on air and the rest is history.

Released in the late 70s, this song never really went anywhere on the charts, but was one of their top live songs on tour. Family Ties (Michael J Fox, Justine Bateman....) BOUGHT THE RIGHTS to the song for a prom episode. Billy sold it to them (still being allowed to perform it live whenever) thinking the song ran it's monetary course for the band. Little did anyone know it would go on to top the charts for weeks! Billy was kicking himself on that one, NBC got all the royalties.

It was first released in early 1981 with an average performance on the charts. Then in 1986 it was featured on the popular tv sitcom Family Ties and it re-entered the charts and reached number one in 1987.

@steverusso177 The show was Family Ties and this song was featured in a 2-part episode when Alex (Michael J Fox) meets Ellen (Tracy Pollan). Ironically that episode was the first time that Michael and Tracy met and they have now been married for 34 years. This amazing song made the episode even more emotional and memorable.
