    Hi Dan. If you are installing those side fairings, you should definetly consider installing an Oil cooler. The Virago family bikes are air cooled and in stock condition already the rear cylinder suffers a lot, I can imagine that with your fairings would be even worst.
    Take a look on the videos of this guy ( @StevesDIYs ), he knows a thing or two about Viragos ;) and he has done and tested the Oil cooler conversion in one of his videos.
    Cheers!

    that's fantastic, I'm about to "finish" and register my XV750, it was always a dream of mine ever since I saw doc's chops build years ago... amazing job mate.

      That’s amazing brother, hopefully you’re on my Instagram and can you send me a picture of the completed bike?

      @@CafeRacerGarage in not yet, I'll have a look mate. How are you planning on doing your rearsets? Conventional drag racing style like most viragos? I'm thinking of having a less aggressive stance as my wrists get too much pressure in the current one... What are your plans? Cheers mate

      No, maybe it’s not for everybody to attempt, but it’s still fun to watch it coming together 🙏😁

    It looks great ❤ How thick is the sheet metal are you using?

    • @CafeRacerGarage
      @CafeRacerGarage  8 місяців тому

      This is .95mm but the side fairing will be 1.1 1.2mm

      @kihestad 8 місяців тому

      @@CafeRacerGarage Wow 😊 .95mm is pretty thin, I guess it's not getting any thicker as you work on it 🙄 and you are even MIG welding it - It's just impressive what you manages to get out of these sheet metal panels
