I don't see why not. The extention pipe is belled on one end to slide over the cat, so the ID is the same as the flex pipe. It wouldn't be as durable though and would have to be strapped up. You could probably buy a piece of straight pipe from a muffler shop for cheap and put it in. Weld it, JB, exhaust repair tape or a combination. I had a muffler delete done on my RAM1500 at a muffler shop for like $160.
@josue3457 No.. the only part deleted was the muffler. My guess is your Cat converter is clogged. My redneck ass would just drill it out. I live in Florida so it's legal bc we Don't have emissions controls.
Had that resonator stolen from my jeep to just like your jeep, people say it’s the cat is that a resonator or a cat and will it pass California smog if I run a pipe threw into the muffler thanks cool video
Yeah, They're right.. I don't know why I said resonator. It's the Cat. I live in Florida and we don't have emissions controls like y'all do in California. I could run a straight pipe from the headers if I wanted to. I would leave the cat if I were you. It probably adds pressure anyways and may cause your jeep to run rich if you remove it. The muffler, as far as I know is just to dampen sound, so unless your concerned about noise regs.. which we don't have here either, I'd straight pipe from the cat out. All I was looking for was better sound, not performance. Your best bet is to leave that Shithole and move to a free state without over regulations, crazy taxes and retarded leadership.

2.25" inside diameter. It will slide right over the cat bc it's 2.25" outside diameter.

what length did you use for your resonator extension?
I think 18" or 20". Whatever they had, and I cut the flex pipe to make it the right length.
After deleting, did you notice any of that sulfur rotting egg smells inside the cab or just a bad smell in general?
