If he can't explain it, other than with an unbelievable assumption, then he is not a very good historian. Also, if he accepts at face value the claim of 500 witnesses (from the other person), then not a qualified historian. Many people of that time also believed that the Roman emperors were gods.
Matthew 27:52-53 "And the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose, and came out of the graves after his resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many." So they knew about multiple resurrections and witnessed them, or it didn't really happen as later recorded.
@@theoutspokenhumanist Well, the fact that there were no contemporary reports of that event (especially if there were 500+ witnesses), makes it even more of a dubious claim.
Acts of Thecla indicates Jesus had a twin brother. So you parade this guy around and of course people believed Jesus rose from the dead. Its basically the plot of The Prestige.

A good point. And the fact that even the other gospel authors didn't think the event noteworthy should give us a clue about its veracity.

St. Paul was the greatest snake oil salesman in the history of the world.
Historical fact? Really? How? Because for the bible tells me so!
I'm curious as to why this video is up? Because it seems like it on the side of Christ and not debunking it. I'm confused.

Since Jesus wasn't that smart while alive he wouldn't have been coming back as a genius. So, no.
