The death rattle is something I hope I never have to experience again. It's the only time throughout the whole palliative care process where I had completely given up all hope and was praying my uncle would die and let it be the end for him. The only comfort is knowing it is a natural thing and that he wasn't in any discomfort or pain from it.
This is exactly what happened with my uncle today. Thank you so much for so eloquently explaining it! I’m glad to know he wasn’t suffering during this process.
This is so sad...My wife and I talk about this time to time. I understand it's a part of life, but knowing that I will see loved ones, probably my parents and others is really hard to imagine. Then myself will have to cross through at some point. We have to great right with God everyday in our hearts. We just don't know when that time will be, have to be prepared.
Please pray for me I’m currently going through this with my grandma she is 76 but got breast cancer right after my dad passed away, and she is in home hospice.
Hi Aly Sands, Thank you for your question. We suggest reaching out to your dad's physician as he/she might be the best person to answer specific questions you have in mind. Take care!

At 1:00 he says: "He is bedbound and will need help for all his care needs."
