That made me wonder whether the CFX 'normal' sampling has an issue with that F key. Many thanks.
Hi, Helvecio, thank you for your comment and question! I do not have anything abnormal with F above middle C on my keyboard, but my G6 is weird sounding, Maybe the same issue what you are describing as "broken", I am not exactly sure what you mean by that, but my G6 has a metallic , "bare" sort of quality to it, unlike any other notes around it. Could be somewhat similar to if a felt is worn off on a hammer of the acoustic piano. This also goes away with the binaural sampling. 8:50 - This FC4A "pedal" actually is a shame. It's just an ON/OFF switch, and it doesn't support half-pedaling. Didn't you notice that this "pedal" doesn't even support half-pedaling? It's ridiculous that Yamaha supplies P-515 with this switch instead of FC3A pedal.
Hi Oleg, and thank you for the comment! Yes, I agree, its definitely a shame its does not support the half pedal function. I had no idea myself before someone else mentioned it in the comments, as I have not actually used it more than two times myself, I got the 3 pedal unit and I like it! you can do half pedal on it. Only its started squeaking a bit lately, inly the sustain pedal...maybe I overuse it...not sure.
Thank you for the unboxing. Very thorough. I'm going to be purchasing this model and I'm anticipating the need for a dust cover. Can you please give the measurement of the music rest(length)? Thank you so much.
Hi Laura, sorry for the belated reply! Yes, the black keys have a wood-like texture, which makes them really comfortable to touch actually, especially when you get slippery fingers from sweating.
Great! How do you like it? I am very happy I got it when I did, before they because so scarcely available. Its a great alternative to an acoustic piano, when you can't afford one:)
@@Dariafortepiano Compared to my last piano, this is awesome...! Yes I had to order it also, which took a week, I got a portable stand off Amazon for 60 bucks very sturdy....very happy ! thanks for the great review.
I just got P-515 two days ago. I need to get the stand. Looks like yours is L515 stand. YOur thought of the stand? How tall is it from the floor to the under keyboard?
Hey Ted, good for you! Congrats on your new piano! The stand was great, stable, solid. I no longer have this model, i upgraded to a clavinova, so I can't measure the height. I do share some measurements in the end of the video, did you see those? Also, I believe someone asked that question in the comments and I answered with measurements. You can check the comments thread. Cheers! Daria
@@Dariafortepiano Oh wow, Nice! That was what I wanted at first, but I thought I would give P515 a try. I may end up like you later. ;-) Did you do the unboxing video?
Hi Stanley, thank you for your question. No, the stand does not come with it unfortunately. The stand you will need to buy separately. I have the homestand (L515) and a 3 pedal unit, which is working well. But you can also buy a regular double braced or a Z shaped stand. You do get one good sustain pedal (included) with the piano, in case you don't need the 3 pedal unit, then you have that one.
Hi! no problem. The height from the floor to the keyboard lowest point is 18.5 inches with the stand I have (L 515) . to the highest point without the music rest is 22 inches.
Are you sure the pedal is capable of half-pedaling? I read it doesn't but I'm not sure. Daria, how much would it cost to take online lessons with you, if possible? Thanks
Hi Massimo, sorry for the belated reply. Well, the half pedaling function for sure works with the 3 pedal unit I have, but I'm not exactly sure about the single pedal that comes with the instrument. I think someone mentioned it cannot do half pedal. But the piano definitely offers this function under the piano room setting. You just need to get the right pedal for it👍 regarding the lessons, please email me at blackmozart89@gmail.com, and we can discuss.🙂
I think it should fit if you can lower one of the passenger seats and use the trunk and the seat space. Because as far as I know it's too long if you try to put it on the seats across. I haven't tried myself with the box, but with carrier bag. Good luck!!

I'll try to make a video and hopefully when the sanitary situation goes back to normal I can visit the Yamaha dealer again and check their own P515.
Fantastic instrument
Totally!! I really like it, for that price I found nothing better!
Which piano stool do you use? I found all of them I have needs to be higher with that P515 stand....
I have an adjustable stool from the brand called CPS imports, the stool they give with the bundle is unfortunately not very useful, as it is not adjustable😕
I have this one, but in black
www.amazon.com/Adjustable-Artist-Piano-Mahogany-Storage/dp/B00KEU7P7C/ref=sr_1_10?crid=1ZFICM39DSH87&keywords=cps+imports+piano+bench&qid=1645395597&sprefix=cps+imports+%2Caps%2C112&sr=8-10
Check the dimensions that you need. I play on the lowest position, but I am short, 5'4.
Hope this helps!
Hi! Thanks for the video- I enjoyed watching it. Although it was disappointing to hear that the cat did not come with the box, I'm still interested in purchasing a P515, as a sorts of upgrade from what I currently have. How did you manage to get a hold of one? I've been scouring the internet and it seems like it's out of stock everywhere, on backorder, with no timeframe given 😭
Hi Alicia, thank for your comment! First, let me show what I found on eBay. I know its a bit expensive, but available right now, Maybe you could negotiate on the price with them? if you are in the US
www.ebay.com/itm/254997750415?epid=13031287705&hash=item3b5f0ce28f:g:SLQAAOSwW1VgsCdn
Haha, yes, sorry, the cat is not included😻 I am glad you appreciate my humor:)
I got mine about a year ago, before it got too insane with the stock situation, and funny enough, if you can imagine I got it from Amazon, with the prime shipping😆 I think it was the last model listed in the US at the time, lol
Well, nowadays its not that easy, I know. One of my students ordered one from one of the nine retailers, maybe Kraftmusic or something, not sure. It took about 3 months before they received it, but they got it now:) It seems like the waiting situation is getting slightly better now.
Best of luck with your search, hope I was helpful!
Daria
Very good piano. 👌👌👌👌
Great news! I hope you will love it!
Np. It's 26.5 inches long and about 7 inch high. 👍
Thank you so much
Does the black keys have a texture? Does it feel strange to the touch? The P-155 has smooth black keys.
Hi Laura, sorry for the belated reply! Yes, the black keys have a wood-like texture, which makes them really comfortable to touch actually, especially when you get slippery fingers from sweating.
Cool
Oh....Man I thought you were going to play us something...my P-515 arrives next Tuesday!
@@akfish8106 great! Enjoy your piano! :)
Hi, this yamaha p515 can I use it as midi keyboard?? (to controll VST instruments in a DAW) Thanks
Merci!
How much does it costs and which country have you been purchased yamaha p515
I got it for about $1850 with the stand and 3 pedals bundle. I live in the United States.
@@Dariafortepiano thank you for your details
@@bhw_msq glad to help!👍
How much did it cost? I'd love to buy one too, but only if I save enough money.
Hi! When I got it, it was $1,500 just piano , but with stand and 3 pedals I paid around $1750 (plus tax, in the US).
@@Dariafortepiano Thank you for the information. Much appreciated 😊
@@manishbaj my pleasure!)
I may end up like you later. ;-) Did you do the unboxing video?
well done
Thanks!
Do you know where’s the sound came out?
The speakers are on the top panel, so right next to the keys. If that's what you meant?
@@Dariafortepiano yes, I thought most digital piano came from amplifier or something
Do you buy piano stand separately or it’s come with ?
Hi Stanley, thank you for your question. No, the stand does not come with it unfortunately. The stand you will need to buy separately. I have the homestand (L515) and a 3 pedal unit, which is working well. But you can also buy a regular double braced or a Z shaped stand. You do get one good sustain pedal (included) with the piano, in case you don't need the 3 pedal unit, then you have that one.
What do you call your Yamaha 3 pedal unit ?

Congratulation! Make many sound record!
Hello Daria,
Could you tell me the height of the piano with the furniture stand but without the clear rest. Thanks!
Hi! no problem. The height from the floor to the keyboard lowest point is 18.5 inches with the stand I have (L 515) . to the highest point without the music rest is 22 inches.
@@Dariafortepiano Thanks a lot!
I just realised that you are the p515 forest virtuoso 🙏 Will you be making the review? Thanks!
Haha. Thanks:) review, yes. I got carried away with practicing...I will try to make one this weekend! Thanks for the reminder!
@@Dariafortepiano Oh that is good news! Thank you lots, looking forward 🙏
@@Dariafortepiano Hi Daria. As in the video you were showing the single pedal, I thought you meant that one. Okie dokie for the email. Thanks
@@MaxRiley ah. Yes, you are right. At that point in this video I haven't explored the piano at all yet. Lol. So my bad for confusing you !
@@Dariafortepiano no problem ;-)
i wunder if it will fit in my corolla...still in the box :/
I think it should fit if you can lower one of the passenger seats and use the trunk and the seat space. Because as far as I know it's too long if you try to put it on the seats across. I haven't tried myself with the box, but with carrier bag. Good luck!!
