Charlie was a funny and entertaining guy and the reason i originally subscribed to this channel. I miss him and Hank dearly... Larry kicks butt! Thank the gods for that.
I remember Charlie and Hank… RIP guys.
I like Charlie as well very good narrator storyteller as with the whole gang with this channel
So sad that he passed away...
I'd heard about this "accident" from Hank. Kinda cool you went into depth with it. And it's nice to see a new face. Thanks for all you do. Lvya all much
Thanks for watching!!
Seen a lot of hogs and cattle killed by a 22 long rifle.
Absolutely!!
Yamil you are right on both counts bullets don't gain weight and 22's are way underrated for how deadly they are. Happy Thanksgiving to all of you
Thanks, we had a great time making this video and we had a GREAT Thanksgiving .
Rest in peace Charlie miss ya 😢
It's impossible to have a 180 degree ricochet with penetrating volocity.
I was out in the woods at a campsite, and I was shooting at a steel target with a 30-06. The target was hung from a tree branch by a wire clothes hanger so it would spin around the tree branch when hit. We thought that because the target was loose there wouldn't be any ricochet issues, even though the target was only about 35 yards away.'
Well, I took one shot and I heard my boss yell out from about ten yds behinds me. The bullet ricocheted and hit him in the ass. It didn't get through his jeans, but he said it hurt like a bull whip to the butt.
After that we switched to shooting .22s...
My dad and his older brother went to Wyoming in the 60's hunting. The ranch they went to was massive. Something like 60,000 acres or a rediculous number like that. The guide drove them out to a certain area of the ranch to hunt. Before he took them to the final spot he wanted to check the rifles for accuracy and had a target set up at 300 yards. He leaned across the hood of the truck, aquired his target with his right eye, and pulled the trigger. His legs immediately buckled and he fell to the ground with blood pooling below his neck. Dad and his brother jumped to work to save his life and got him back in the vehicle. Dad was holding pressure on his neck while my uncle drove out. They went as far as they could remember and waited for the guide to come to and give them directions back out.
Eventually they got him to medical and the drs were able to save the guide. Apparently it wasn't too bad of a wound as the guide was released the same day. The cops had been called and followed the guide, dad, and my uncle back out yo the site of the shooting. It was rather easy to find with the pool of blood and the rifle laying on the ground. Upon looking at the target they could see part of the paper frayed outward on both sides of the paper. Thats when one of the people seen an "S" tine harrow laying a couple hundred yards behind the target. When they looked it over, one of the shovels had the splat mark of the bullets impact.
When the gun was on the hood of the truck and the guide leaned to his right to sight and shoot, the bullet hit the target, passed through the bale of hay, and finally hit that shovel. The shovel bent back and recoiled throwing the bullet back at the bale of hay, the target, and back hitting him below his left ear. That was 600 yards of travel plus whatever distance the tine was behind the bale so im guessing a hundred and fifty yards each way of bullet travel. So roughly 450 yards each way to impact 6" to the left of perpendicular in deviation. Can that shot even be set up to replicate with a laser? It was one incredibly lucky shot that he didn't get killed.
How was it determined to be a "heavy caliber rifle bullet"?
There is a big difference.22 bullets have a small slug.
