Infamous games are great. I am really disappointed we never got HD remaster of the first 2 games for PS4.
So am I, cause PS now sucks it's made the games laggy as heck! I was genuinely disappointed to see the games never got remastered. But hey they made me repurchase a PS3, just for the inFAMOUS games

Well ghost of Tsushima is really popular and it but the same studio and I wouldn’t say sly and infamous is super hidden gem or unknown because people still know about it and it got sequels but still you don’t here much people talk about it anymore
I think they finally got the recognition they deserved with GOT but it’s a shame at the same time because that means they’ll probably never return to infamous now

Best things about the game:
- Insane replay ability (good + evil game play and abilities, different ways to approach each fight, etc) \
- Super fun (countless abilities that you slowly get throughout the game, never stagnant, you feel progression and can do whatever you want)
Isn't that all you need in a game? The ability to have fun, and the ability to have that fun over and over without it getting boring?
Don't forget the fantastic story and characters. Also those cutscene are beautiful.
Personally, I like the sequel better, but I can respect the game for laying down the ground work.

Lol thanks for the compliment and the constructive criticism. I’ve heard from many viewers that they don’t like the Taylor Swift songs. It’s weird to me in a way because I just embrace them as memes at my disposal, but I forgot how annoying they are to some people.
@@MadmansKnowledge I didn't even know they were Taylor Swift songs haha, I just hate pop music in general. I think it was fun for like 2-3 instances but it happened more than 15 times in the video it was too much for me !
But apart from that the video's really great and I fully agree with your views on Infamous, I also think it's an underrated masterpiece!

About Cole being an urban explorer, in the game manual i remember it saying that his powers enhanced his parkour skills, which made him climb faster and not take fall damage etc.
Also the parkour element was one of the best decisions in the game, and the mechanics have not been matched in any other game.
I think the parkour in the game is amazing. I just don't it adds anything to Cole's character to make him an urban explorer before the blast.

I will say, I actually liked the parkour/urban explorer element. Yeah, they don't really do much with it, and it's sorta just an explaination for his familiarity, but it does seem like something that someone who chose to be a bike courier might do.

It’s my first time on your channel and I’m Russian, so my English isn’t that good, so...
Anyway, I just started watching this video (and I’ll watch the whole series ‘cause it sounds really interesting), but I can’t wait to ask you about your thoughts on Second Son. Because here is the thing: I freaking love the first game and the second one as well, and then recently I got PS4 and played Second Son for about 5-6 hours, and the only thought I had was “what kind of crap is this and why am I playing this?”. Is there something wrong with me? Cause, you know, I couldn’t find a single bad review of that game. Everybody just say it’s the best in the series. And I just can’t play it. I don’t like the abilities at all, therefore gameplay is kinda ruined for me. Every second of playing I can’t help but comparing it to the first one and how cool it was back then with Cole, how awesome he was with his powers and his unique, well-thought-out way of cruising around the city and stuff. He is a brilliant street-type superhero for sure.

i was really young when infamous came out it was around the time i started playing video games i’ve been beating it at least 3 times a year ever since 2011
you know what I love about this game. It has like literally no loading screens. Once you're in the game you're in. Even when you die it takes no time to respawn.

I don’t know baby. I wouldn’t say they’re OVERLOOKED. And I most definitely wouldn’t say they’re MASTERPIECES. I just recently got done platinum it after wanting to get into the series for some time now. The game, overall, was.... good. Nothing more, nothing less. The story wasn’t all that. Serviceable at best. And the ending kinda left me feeling underwhelmed. The characters weren’t all that interesting either, Cole included. What made me play the game twice back to back (even though the moral choices didn’t matter at all whatsoever) was that it was just sooo damn fun to play.
REALLY looking forward to playing inFamous 2 as I have a feeling it’ll def be an exclusive worth getting the console for.

I think of InFamous as free roam rather than a true open world like the average Ubisoft game. For starters, you have to progress in InFamous in order to unlock parts of the map (Which I like about it).

I watch this bc I love inFAMOUS 1 and 2 as well, not bc I didn't already know that it's a masterpiece.
I hope you guys are not bothering developers about a remaster or anything because I see how the infamous community is or possible infamous community will be self centered. The only way for remasters if as many as possible physical copies are bought 1,2, and infamous collection then buy digital collections the same. That mean these games will have to be bought more than once, five(5) times at most by one(1) single consumer if people are not buying the game for others let alone telling others to buy and play infamous. Even if as infamous players started a honest infamous community online with the UGC creator were to share stories for money maybe but no not everyone are the same, that would not work, no one did anything with servers from last gen consoles, why take risk on current gen or even next gen, So do not even think of asking for a infamous multiplayer. Do not ask for anything if not help a cause... Great videos by the way. I Love the infamous series from last gen the most.

I overall enjoyed this critique but I do have a one issue with it. One is your argument for why Sucker Punch adding Cole was an urban explorer was unnecessary given we the player know he has enhanced abilities. Just because someone is granted a superpower does not entail they are good at something. To use an analogy, if I give you a sword, it doesn't make you automatically good with a sword. Sure, you could probably injure/ hurt an enemy. But not understanding the weight of the blade, how to properly hold it, and how to fight against opponents is going to put you at a disadvantage especially against a more skilled enemy. In the case of Cole, the urban exploration allows for the narrative to quickly justify why/ how Cole is able to do what he is able to do without needing to devote more exposition to explain how Cole learned to climb and stuff like that. Also, the urban exploration is a neat little bit of characterization. Cole being a bike courier is someone who is ignored by a lot of society. And thus urban exploration is something that allows Cole to escape/ set himself apart.
This is especially cool when you consider how the series(the first two games) establish that Cole grew up in a wealthy family and in turn his choice to be a courier and urban explorer were in response to his controlling parents. So yes; the detail actually goes a long way in explaining what Cole can do in game but also adding a nice bit of characterization to him.
Overall, I'm glad you covered Infamous. It really is one of my favorite games of all time. Even though I prefer the sequel, the first game will always hold a special place in my heart. Especially given the twist with regards to its story.

Did anyone else struggle with traveling underground with Evil Karma because of the red lightning not having as wide of a range of lit areas?
I like the red lightning, despite my grievances. I missed the red and black jagged look from InFAMOUS when playing the sequel.

3 weeks ago :DDD It was amaizing game and hope they will make something like Infamous for PC because people don't play on PS3 too much anymore.
I remember playing the ps3 demo for Infamous 1 and 2 over and over cause I did not have enough money to buy one of them but when I got older I finally had the money to get the second Infamous game but my ps3 was so old that it would glitch up a lot, the audio would not play and other big problems that I had to turn the ps3 on and off but it was sill a fun game

So I’m going to stop the video here 3:02 before I watch your review I wanted to say first off thank you for giving my single favorite game ever made some love. This game to this day holds number one spot even after PS5 and Series X. This game means so much to me. I remember being in a GameStop and looking 👀 on the PS3 shelf and coming across this game. At this point I think the game had been out for a couple of years. And so the cover looked interesting and so I bought it and went home to play it. And after I got home I almost decided not to play it because I was second guessing if maybe I rushed out of that GameStop with a game I now don’t know if I really wanted to play. But I decided to sit down, pop in the disk and give it a shot. And man I am so grateful to this day that I have it a shot. I love the comic style look to it, the storytelling, the powers, Cole, Trish, Zeke , John and the villains. This game is how a superhero game should be. And the ability to approach missions in different ways is awesome! I’m actually playing it right now on my ps3 lol! I still go and visit Trish’s grave in the First Sons territory

This game was my favorite as a kid and i replayed it again recently and then bought inFamous 2 played an hour Idk i dont like the new voice or the visual changes in faces but the powers are cool and personally i liked the gray depressing look to the first game and 2 pops in color i also really miss the arc of electricity now its a ball

I had an idea for a infamous dlc or something:
You play as some special-ops soldier (something like that) who can climb and do parkour, just not as wacky cuz the soldier's not a conduit.
But he can use an assortment of weapons like rifles, shotguns, pistols, etc.
But can only hold 1 gun at a time. The soldier carries a grenade launcher (or could just throw grenades) I'm thinking it starts with smoke. Instead of xp, the soldier uses cash to upgrade his gear, even adding visual changes to his outfit. (Ex: Lighter armor for faster movement, gas mask to not be effected by your smoke or flashbangs.)
There could be karma, when you get enough bad karma, it makes the soldier feel more comfortable with getting more lethal options, even if civilians die. Like changing his smoke grenades into shrapnel grenades, but good karma turns them into flashbangs. I thinking if an enemy does surrender, you can either cuff them, or snap their necks, I guess? I was also thinking bad karma will make his uniform have slight rips and specks of blood, and the lenses on his helmet or mask will be a bit cracked. Not sure about good karma, but it could be it just remains the same.
Not sure about story tho, so let me know what you think.

You couldn't be more wrong about the karma system. Because you can 'farm' good or bad karma by healing or hurting regular NPCs, you could really make any choice you wanted. I've done entire playthroughs where I make selfish choices in every story mission but stay at in blue karma the whole time.
But that means that the evil choices you made then have no consequences.
@@MadmansKnowledge my point was more about being forced making all good or bad choices depending on the type of playthrough. The karma system actually works to allow the player to make any choice they want and then choose to redeem themselves later. (It does have some in game consequences, tho they are momentary, that can effect gameplay as well.) For ex. on my first playthrough I chose to save Trish even though I was doing a good playthrough. I had become so frustrated with all of Cole's losses that I didn't want to see him loose Trish. I only made that choice because the game had shown me that the karma system allowed for redemption.
