Why do we live on an island, off an island, off the mainland?
Because we love our peace and quiet, familiar faces and the way we are used to doing things. We also sometimes hate familiar faces (like neighbours, etc.), toss out peace and quiet when we get bored, kick off a bit of a riot, drink like we drink, fight like we fight and often afterwards being hammered singing songs together and sometimes even cry into our cider, act like f***Ing idiots when plastered, live out our diagnosis with 100% commitment and fun, and still be able to crawl to work the next day because nobody is angry or laughing.... because we're all a bit weird! Let's keep our "traditional ways", and be glad we're Irish because on the continent they would have put us all in straight jackets in 5 minutes! I love Ireland the way it is with all the ups and downs and cups of tea! 👍🇮🇪🍀🌈😋😁🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹
Dunno but we need another Island further out , how far ?? , well enough never to be able to hear Tommy or fucking Hector shouting like lunatics, strict passport control ...like NO rte chuggers and dead meat , no 'Cork' examiner , no 'The Journal' online , No Bishops just a few of the priests who know how to have the craic.

Well I was born here Tommy. I actually live on an island off an island off an island off the mainland, and I'd like those three mainlands to leave us the fuck alone because they're all trouble. We used to worship a fucking rock until some uppety mainland priest told us it wasn't holy it was pagan and threw it in the ocean. The very next day half of us were speaking English instead of Irish and working in banks and building sites in London instead of building boats because that rock was our culture, and it wasn't the English who took it but those uppety Irish mainlanders who felt it was their duty and right to assimilate us and our island and our language which they claim is theirs even though they can't speak and which they teach to us even though we already have a better version of it (half of us anyway).

Edward McManus has a great photo of George and him- Carlin was a consistent genius, you are also an intelligent genius.
