Fantastic! Mitsubishi needs to hire this guy instead of giving brick size crappy owners manuals😅

Hi Pingpong - my best bet would be a LONG WALK HOME - as there wouldn't be any "service center" (for an engine service soon light) nearby either..

Can you show how to turn off the eco mode on this model and can you show what button you pressed on the LSW feature

what is the use of the downlight near the front dome light which is orange in color when lit? The manual does not say anything about it.

Great video... Does anyone know how to use the front parking sensors ( added as an accessory) with the car? I see an illuminated button left to the Sonar button that perhaps seems like button to activate front parking sensor... But my front parking sensor don't seem to work... Although it's a genuine outlander fit from an authorised dealer.... Any suggestions?

Traction control... There is a video 'outlander roller' showed that having this off allowed better 4wd performance... So if stuck in the mud perhaps turn it off :D

Your showing the dashboard and telling, that you are pushing the buttons, but I only see the dashboard and not which buttons you are pushing.

NO - not "oh she'll be better as a high beam" low beam preference..
But actually a useful idea for when you are TOWING any trailer / boat etc., which (obviously) weighs down the rear of the outlander causing LOW beam to become a virtual high beam, so you NEED to tilt the low beam down to compensate for tow ball sag..
Either it needs to be permanently set too low (for normal driving) to be OK when towing, or - the driver ACTIVELY lowers the beam when towing.
THAT is what the low beam angle adjuster is for..
Not for seeing further on low beam..

  • @QUIX4U
    @QUIX4U 2 роки тому

Technically - it's ALSO illegal to drive with normal lights ON with fog lights on..
But the outlander stalk control CANNOT operate the fog lights until the main beam lights are on ..
    An outright illegal thing.

  • @QUIX4U

    p.s..
Lane departure warning is crap - with ANY gravel outback roads (or off-road in 4wd mode) .. as it cannot "find" any painted road line..

WOW, now that must be about the OLDEST outlander I have ever seen..
I mean - it doesn't have the split tailgate (fold-flap drop-down bottom section & the upper lift-up two section tail gate) nor does it have the spare wheel (a space saver) inside the rear cargo area - just underneath the "hide-away" third row of 2x dickey seats (that hide-away under the rear cargo floor - normally) - nor does it have the ROCKFORD subwoofer / stereo system, nor does it have the.... the list goes on
& mine (that has all of that) - is an OLD 2005 model
HOWEVER - mine which definitely IS a 2005 model, has the (not introduced until the 2008 model) split rear tailgate, with it's fold-down flap covered rear lower tailgate, that allows for anyone to SIT on the lower flap - up to 200 kg.
That means - you can watch sports or the kids at the beach etc., with the upper larger tailgate shielding you from the sun, or maybe rain even..
It also has "on-the-fly" 2wd / 4wd / 4wd LOCK that allows you to instantly go from 2wd to 4wd open diffs to a locked center diff, that also works with the asc control to detune the engine if over sin is detected, or to apply a brake on whichever wheel is spinning in 1/100 or a wheel revolution - beat that with a handbrake ?
Oh and the ASC (traction control and anti-skid / anti-spin) is an all in one control button THAT IS NORMALLY ON, but for starting in sand or deep snow, one needs to push the button for 5 seconds, to turn ASC off, which allows for wheel spin to get you going in sand, deep snow (or worse, on ice if needed)..
ASC works far better i the normal on mode.
BUT - one cannot wheel-spin off the line as the car won't let any wheel spin (period).
Touching the button with a light pressure turns ASC back on again, so too does a longer than 8 seconds "hold down for off" - as that also returns it to ON.
It also doesn't have all those other buttons or knobs - as the ECU takes care of all that other crap - such as lowering the dip beam when a towed trailer is connected to the tow ball.(just in case the driver forgets to lower them see) - also in ANY position - the lights auto turn off, within seconds of the key being turned off.
IF you want them on after that (the auto turn off) - you need to return the switch to OFF & then (with the key still off) turn the lights on again.
The FOG lights cannot be turned on - in fog (unless you also have the main beam headlamps ON - which here in NZ is actually illegal ?
Go figure - but allowed as it was original operation "for a jap only vehicle", that was imported here later.
There is a 110v AC pure sine wave inverter outlet, in the center armrest console, also there are 3x 12v DC outlets, one up front, one in the center console armrest and the other at the back .. oh and that useless space saver wheel - it's UNDERNEATH the rear of the vehicle as you indicated, but the "position" inside where it should have a NORMAL SIZED 18" alloy, is taken up with a second plastic sub-floor which is itself, underneath the third row of two (near useless) dickey seats - but the seats belts give that away as they are permanently fitted in the back.
In other words, ripping out the near useless twin third row of dickey seats - allows the "fitment" of a standard alloy wheel - whilst still allowing the space saver to reside underneath the vehicle..
GREAT for off road work, (to have two spare wheels) such as when way "outback" - way too far from a tire replacement / service area..
Oh and no -the middle row of "nice" seats don't operate as you showed, but actually SPRING OVER into a folded upright position - either by using the lever in the back of the seats, or..
WAY BETTER, by operating a lever near the rear tailgate opening that waits 3 seconds then POWER FLIPS the rear middle row over and locks them "folded upright" in position - so you do nothing from the side doors, when loading long things into the rear boot area..

I kinda like outlander but this one is messed up. They have a cup holder that is supposed to be used on a 3rd row seat but this one doesnt have a 3rd row seat.

Look under the rear cargo floor. that's where the two dickey seats are hidden for normal cargo carrying...

The Outlander PHEV does not have a spare tyre so be aware if you get a flat tyre in a no service area your fucked.
