Been following Kyle for a few years now. To me all of these videos are meaningful outlines and one could write a paper on the nuances of all the points. These videos are super deep. When I listen to one multiple times I’ll get more from it each time.
Thank you for this reminder. I started up after a while without training and am always eager to train hard, but overdoing it in the beginning is really easy, especially if you remember times you used to be able to do more reps and stuff. That was a long while ago...
Thank you K Boges for all of your knowledge and advice. I switched to 30 min daily routines with moderate intensity, instead of every second or 3rd day with max intensity. I enjoy it so much more!
boges dropping another masterclass.. love to see it! simplicity is key 🔑 optimal doesn’t always mean better if you can’t even stick to it.. much love all the way from 🏴
Listen to the wise words of this gentleman. I wish I had known this when I was 20. Happy New Year, I really enjoy your channel, thank you for your time.
Hey Kyle, thanks for your awesome work. I started watching your videos 4 years ago but I didn't get it back then and forget about you. During those 4 years I jumped from one workout plan to the next one w/o consistency but injuries and got more and more fat. After christmas I remembered your channel and started with the first video again and it all made sense. Now I do 1 set of pulling, pushing and leg exercises everyday and implemented daily yoga and hikes. I already lost 3kgs and my joints also feel better. Thank you very much, all the best and happy new year :)
I’ve done all the fad stuff, from the 80s and 90s, took a couple of decades off and now back at it my my yard with a bar and rings and have never had back and arms like this. Keeping it simple and a part of everyday life is key.
These days I just automatically "like" all of these videos as soon as they begin, because I already know what the quality of the content will be. Keep up the good work brother. 🙏🏻🤘🏻
Lately I've been focusing my training more on cardio to improve my half marathon time, but I still do resistance training three times a week, and I follow your advice to the letter when it comes to volume, simplicity, and controlled reps. It's effective and sustainable. Thanks for all the advice and Happy New Year Kyle!
Consistency/Sustainable is the way to go. I also got a trainer to hold me accountable. 3 times a week of 5-6 routines of 3x20 sets/reps on two muscle groups is where I’m at. This is the cost for me feeling great, and I can afford it.
Been consistent with calisthenics for about a month now & it’s the best thing that has happened to me to make me feel mentally and physically better, thanks to your videos and philosophy w/ training!
Hey I don’t know if you surf or have worked with clients who surf, but since following your channel for about a month and doing 3-5rnds of ladders 1-5 workouts where the pull is x1, push x2 and legs x3 has significantly increased my paddle power/ endurance. Your approach is so simple and effect with the workout “hygiene “ approach where you do it every day. Just wanted to say thank you. My paddling has been insane and I feel like I’m about to take those beatings better when caught in the inside on bigger/heavier days.
To all you younger bucks out there please listen to this man’s advice and block out all the other noise. I wish I would’ve had Kyle’s advice when I was younger, instead of muscular development magazine, would’ve saved me a lot of time, money, and injuries.
Kyle, I have to thank you for putting this message out there in such a simple and effective way. I finally understood the importance of consistency back in August and put it into action. Previously I had always tried to do everything optimally but always did too much or complicated things to a point where it got way too overwhelming and I gave up. Never trained for more than a month or two straight. Your philosophy combined with Dr. Pak's stuff on minimum effective dose training have led me to being consistent for 5 months, working out 2-3 times per week. I'm getting stronger and seeing some physique changes, but more importantly I'm training consistently week after week since the plan is easy enough to follow even on a tight schedule. Consistency over intensity and perfection really is the secret to long-term results, and that sounds obvious now but I guess you've got to learn through mistakes. Thanks so much and all the best for 2025!
I spent 6 months working on rows to achieve my first pull-up. I’m not sure if it’s realistic, but I hope to reach 10 clean pull-ups by next year. Wishing everyone happy training!
It took a few months of me logging my intermittent fasting to gather enough data in order to realize that I thrive and also burn fat on a consistent daily 18:6 hour IF. 16:8 is enough to keep me maintained. The point is it was through consistent trial and error that taught me what my best strategy was for me. So, don't ever get discouraged when you fail because your failures will be your greatest teachers.
@ Thanks @K Boges! Earlier this year, I started to adopt your training plan to double my pull ups. But since I’m in my earlier fifties, I’ve scaled it slightly but still achieving results at a sustainable rate and without injury!
I must say I had Great results from Your workout programs and Your video's and for that I thank You very much keep doing good job becouse You doing lots of good things and looking at numbers of followers You obviously on the right way again thank You stay strong stay healthy 👍💪
i've got the luck of starting my "resolution" even before the new year, and besides some minor setbacks related to a gym that isn't cooperative with me, i'm carrying myself, sustainability first turns out making the workout fun (martial arts, beat saber, jumprope) gives even more reason to just do, and the endorphins after are always worth it
Great information, easy to understand and simple. What I found that is when people listen to multiple influencers, they get derailed from their original goal. For example, I have been listening to you and I've decided that I'm good with just the basic sets of reps. At first I was interested in skills, seeing all the Instagram tricks but the barrier to entry was too high and I just got burned out. You and Red Delta Project will suffice. Thanks as always.
Could you do a video on functionality for life? Like specific exercises and possibly diet. I just turned 30 and have been in good shape my whole teen and adult life. But at this point I have seen so many older people who did not take care of their bodies and can barely do everyday things like bending down to pick something up or simply moving around without hurting. I want to be the guy that is hitting a pull up bar when I’m 70 and older but I want to do the right things before then to be strong, functional, and to avoid injury. Love your videos bro!
Great stuff! It all means nothing if you blow it shortly after achieving your goal. And that’s only possible if your training and diet is sustainable. It’s about the process and lifestyle, not the end result! That will come naturally if you dedicate yourself to consistency.
Going from 50 years as a "Barbell Boy" training very heavy and having my joints cry for mercy to a sustainable method for the rest of the years is a great plan. Although I am very experienced in 'weight training' I look forward to a whole new approach towards health and fitness. PS. What is the second exercise you are doing (out of the video frame) between the pull-up sets. Keep the videos coming!! Have a great 2025!!
70 years old and still training. sustainability...you hit the nail on the head here. what doesn't destroy me makes me stronger...in the short term, maybe. in the long term it will destroy you...
My new years resolution is doing at least 50 pushups every day of 2025. It is fairly easy throughout the day, it doesn't take much time and I am currently just doing 10-15 for each set but my plan is to increase the difficulty/amount in a set throughout the year. All in good form! As I got significantly stronger over the last year, my main issue is not doing lifts regulary and hence getting stuck at the 15-20 pushups in one set barrier. My arms are personally almost big enough for my taste as a beginner but it is mostly just puff and not real strength. Your body (or 75% of it) is the end goal. Have a good start in the year KBoges. (also where do you live? your background just looks beautiful and always sunny weather haha. When I look out it is the polar oppsite lol)
Always my problem was sweets and sparkling drinks. Everything else with the training is great but this factor is huge and im starting to getting the hang of it
Sir you don’t know how helpful these videos are. Can you talk about form more because the fitness industry always makes that confusing too? E.g. pushup form or even something as small as “how to engage core”
This is the best way to get fit and healthy indeed ! Find a training method you can stay consistent with for years, adapt it along the journey, and results will come, trust the process ! Discipline is everything 💪
hey K boges, firstly, gratitude for what you have shared with us on this channel , you've made the world a better place ! Dude thank you for watching! I've gotten several of these messages... I have no idea why my videos have stopped popping up in my subscribers feeds. Every time I post a video I get a message from someone saying the same thing. UA-cam also limiting my views with no explanation. If I figure it out, I will let you know.
Man I just love your videos. Motivated to start working out regularly again. I think I have a more mature approach now. In the past it was more about being big, and while now I still want to bulk up & be bigger, I think I mostly want to work out regularly to be fit, healthy, overall just feel better & for better mental health. I lost all my strength due to laziness & excuses man, it's sad. I have to learn push-ups & pull-ups from scratch, all over again. At almost 30 years old. But baby steps, right? Thanks for the videos & cheers from Poland 😁
Dude... You are so right and I apologize. I was seriously under the weather during this recording and I actually had to re-record some of my stuff because I looked and sounded terrible... I was a bit out of it but did my best and totally overlooked it. I won't miss it next time. HAPPY NEW YEAR! 🙏

I appreciate the informative content you provide, it motivated me to make similar type of fitness videos (it would be cool if you could check them out!). I want you to know how much of an inspiration you are to me and how your content drastically changed my life for the better, thank you so much and happy new year!
Thanks a lot for answering!! What’s your daily dedicated cardio (besides your daily calisthenics training and besides being very active in life)? Run for half hour or one hour? Or walk on a incline treadmill or elliptical for one hour? Thanks again! :) 🤜🤛
That little bit of extended footage of the set was a nice callback to your earliest videos. 9 months ago today, I was left by my long-term partner. It broke me. However, it was through the encouragement of your videos that I returned to training less than a month after it happened. It was often the only thing I would manage to achieve in a day. You were looking out for me although you didn't know it. Cheers my guy. A little bit of whatever, practised every day, with intensity but a gentle mind, over a lifetime. This is what I think about.
Oh man, sorry to hear about that. That type of loss is no joke and I'm happy to you made it through. I'm happy my message resonated in a way that was helpful. That's really meaningful.to hear. Just keep at it, dude. Take your time. One step after the next. Just like you said, a little bit of something every day adds up to something remarkable over your life.
Amen. I've been training for about 50 years now. After the first 10 years or so I shifted my workouts to be the best 80-year-old I can be. It bothers me to see PT's working old peoples asses off to "look good for a reunion" or something like that. They ALL quit.
I think it's time that people start putting together their own concept (with valuable and wise input of information from good people like you) and take responsibility for themselves and their fitness first and foremost.
Agreed. It can be tough to sort through all the info on social media. My biggest complaint about my industry is it is often dominated by marketers and not physical culturists. A lot of the stuff out there is deceiving and predatory. It’s up to us to spread the word and give people the tools to help themselves.
@@Kboges I second that motion, Sir. Thank you for providing all this valuable information and for the sincerity that in large part success lies in simplicity.
Absolutely love your content. I implement it in my own coaching for mountaineering. Calisthenics build the base of my regiment, but what are your thoughts on other basic moves like the KB swing and farmer walks? Are they something you include? Thanks!
Great video. Some of the prose was frankly poetic. Maybe our society would be healthier if we also had a guy promoting consistency and sustainability in some type of WWE Ultimate Warrior/Randy Savage style. "Uggghhhhh, you need to go GET it! But you also need to STOP sometimes so you can do it again toMORROW, UGGGGGHGHHHHH."
This might be a bit of a weird question but i recently just out of nowhere came up with what i think is a pretty revolutionary approach to fitness (atleast for me) and now i am going on a mission to ask all fitness content creators that i respect about their opinion. So heres what i came up with: The idea is to have a training day where you completely obliterate yourself, train multiple times throughout the day with the only goal that at the end of the day all your major muscle groups should be completely cooked. And then you just wait for as lmany days as it takes for your body to regenerate (here you could do lower effort stuff like stretching, walking, running, swimming, mobility and so on) and as soon as you feel fit again you do the same thing again. Feelings and thoughts?
at what point do you think diminishing returns come into play? junk volume is a killer for some people. sure, you could feel your muscles getting fatigued on that 3rd or 4th workout, but are they actually promoting strength or hypertrophy? and not mention those who work a regular 9-5 where their schedules are completely different from weekdays to weekends. would you expect someone who does the mentioned workout on sunday, be able to replicate that on thursday or friday? if you're unemployed, maybe.
It almost made me shudder as you kicked off the warning about the next year and as you know I really love your videos bro. This one honestly sounded like a call to settle/ lower your standards 😅. Anyway I d rather shoot for the moon even if I missed.... peace and love 🎉
I feel ya, but think about it like this…Having a goal of staying consistent for life is arguably the most ambitious goal you can pursue. This isnt a call to lower your standard; it’s a call to pursue the ultimate standard: lifelong consistent training 💪

@@saishankar4328yeah I train a few reps shy of failure. I recover in the other 23.5 hours of the day. So if you can do 10 pull ups for a max, you should be able to do a set or 2 of 7 or 8 reps and be ok the next day. If not, that’s just a general fitness issue you could address assuming you aren’t sick or something. But just about anyone can do that. It’s not hard at all by design.

I enjoy it so much more!
boges dropping another masterclass.. love to see it! simplicity is key 🔑 optimal doesn’t always mean better if you can’t even stick to it.. much love all the way from 🏴
I love your knowledge, everytime you post a new video i try to watch it as fast as i can.
I appreciate that very much! Thank you for watching!
You convinced me to start doing daily high rep body weight squats…
Now I have great conditioning and my legs blew up. TY sir.
Heck yeah, Tony! Aren’t they awesome?💪
I find bodyweight squats harder than doing the squat rack!
Started following this man during the pandemic and still here keeping it real and sustainable.
Listen to the wise words of this gentleman. I wish I had known this when I was 20. Happy New Year, I really enjoy your channel, thank you for your time.
Thank you, Benny! Happy new year.
Hey Kyle,
thanks for your awesome work.
Same :) focusing on the basics feels way more realistic to pursue through the year than anything else
Great stuff, man!
easily my favorite fitness channel.
short, no fluff, informational and motivational videos.
I’ve done all the fad stuff, from the 80s and 90s, took a couple of decades off and now back at it my my yard with a bar and rings and have never had back and arms like this. Keeping it simple and a part of everyday life is key.
I love hearing stories like this. Thank you so much for sharing!
That last bit was a great way to put it. Thanks for that one.
Well done! That’s the way, brother!💪
My paddling has been insane and I feel like I’m about to take those beatings better when caught in the inside on bigger/heavier days.
ladders are my go to way to train!
Yes! I love this! One year later I feel great, gained muscle 💪, and lost fat. Thanks brother! 👍🙏👊🤙
I promote you and your channel all of the time.
Nice job, Leonard! You are doing it right. I'm excited to get the same message from you this time next year. 💪
Thanks K boges! Happy new year!
Hey huhhuhhuh! Happy new year!
To all you younger bucks out there please listen to this man’s advice and block out all the other noise. I wish I would’ve had Kyle’s advice when I was younger, instead of muscular development magazine, would’ve saved me a lot of time, money, and injuries.
Happy New Year! I'm looking forward to another year of you sharing insight, motivation and knowledge 🙏
Happy New Year! Thank you for the support! But wishes to you and your family.
K Boges speaks so much sense ❤
Appreciate the video. How many pounds is the weight vest you use? Or does it vary? Thanks.
The most elite fitness channel on UA-cam.
No fluff. Focused direction ✨️
Thank you, brother. Happy New Year!
Hey Kyle, what would a full day of eating look like for you everyday this new year if you wanted to get below 10% in the next few months???
Thanks man
Happy New Year! This is so underrated but hits home!
Starting off the new year injury free and focused on sustainable training with results.
Best of luck to you! Feel free to reach out if you ever need any help.
Just what I needed to hear Bodges, you always have something relevant to say
Thanks for listening!
For me consistency is key. I will continue the same as in the past and as always changing up my routine as well. Thank you for this New Years message.
Keep at it and best of luck to you. Happy new year.
Happy New Year. Love the content. Keep up the good work. You're absolutely right & to echo Lee's comment, the goal is to train.
Happy new year!
I'm gonna borrow Lee's saying there (with credit to him of course).
i've got the luck of starting my "resolution" even before the new year, and besides some minor setbacks related to a gym that isn't cooperative with me, i'm carrying myself, sustainability first
turns out making the workout fun (martial arts, beat saber, jumprope) gives even more reason to just do, and the endorphins after are always worth it
Stay Consistent, Stay in your Lane, Stay Overload in the training 💪
Well said
I appreciate that you take more of a "first pronciples" approach that doesnt rely on tricks or hype. 👍🏼
Excellent technique and execution can make an average program achieve exceptional results. Consistency is everything. Happy New Year Kyle.
Beautifully said!!!
Happy new year!
So true. Spot on and thank you for sharing your wisdom and experience with us!
Everything else with the training is great but this factor is huge and im starting to getting the hang of it
This is a gold standard advice Kyle! Happy New Year! Hope you and your family prosper like never before! Cheers❤
Thank you, dude. You as well!🙏
Sir you don’t know how helpful these videos are. Can you talk about form more because the fitness industry always makes that confusing too? E.g. pushup form or even something as small as “how to engage core”
For sure 👌🏾this is what I preach that’s why I like ‘this man no gym needed🤙🏾💪🏾Hell Yea
lol I just subscribed to your course and got on UA-cam right after to see this. Getting back into fitness after a two year hiatus. Lets get it!
Thank you for the support! I hope you enjoy the content. if you have any questions, let me know. 💪
This is the best way to get fit and healthy indeed ! Find a training method you can stay consistent with for years, adapt it along the journey, and results will come, trust the process ! Discipline is everything 💪
100% correct on all points!
hey K boges, firstly, gratitude for what you have shared with us on this channel , you've made the world a better place !
I have watch a lot of your videos and i never heard your thoughts about jump squat and jump lunges although you talked a lot about squat and lunges. Maybe for the next videos you could share your opinion on these.
Peace and please excuse my rusty english
i wish this message had gone viral, consistency is always nr1
It really is dude.
this guy is the best
hey, subscribed to you a long while ago but ur vids stopped appearing, great to see you in my recommended again, unfortunately I am re-starting the fitness journey, but I'll save the channel this time to get more tips along the way haha, great content man, keep it up.
How dare you not wish us a happy new year Kyle 😤
Dude... You are so right and I apologize. I was seriously under the weather during this recording and I actually had to re-record some of my stuff because I looked and sounded terrible... I was a bit out of it but did my best and totally overlooked it. I won't miss it next time.
HAPPY NEW YEAR! 🙏
@@Kboges all good brotha I was just kidding. Happy new year to you too man!! 😁
Your foolproof calisthenics template really changed my life. It was straightforward and easy to follow, and it created a strong foundation for me.
Do what you are willing and able to do.
Yep. Exactly right.
Thinking of trading out some of my pull ups sets fir inverted rows; hoping that doing both can increase my pull up count/back activation.
@@Kboges Absolutely man. I appreciate it. Keep doing all you do for the community!
New year, same top-notch quality content. Happy New Year to you, man!
Thank you, Thomas! Happy New Year!
Have you tried it?
at what point do you think diminishing returns come into play? junk volume is a killer for some people. sure, you could feel your muscles getting fatigued on that 3rd or 4th workout, but are they actually promoting strength or hypertrophy? and not mention those who work a regular 9-5 where their schedules are completely different from weekdays to weekends. would you expect someone who does the mentioned workout on sunday, be able to replicate that on thursday or friday? if you're unemployed, maybe.
Worked out for 15 minutes today, that was all the time i could spare. But i didn't skip.
@Kboges gotta🙏
Happy new year 🎉
Happy new year!
Been following you for a long time and I'm absolutely love your training style ! Hoping to he coached by you to gain more experience. Please notify me ASAP if you are available, I'll be thrilling. 😊
So happy you love it dude! Definitely. I'm working on some new course material for the subscription but I will definitely get personal clients going again. Thank you for the support!
@Kboges Good to hear that! I'm also waiting for the new content from the subscription. There is no better New Year's gift than being coached by my favorite content creator 🔥
I love calisthenics now. Can't get enough.
Wish I knew this when I was 19 🙏🏼
Same!
Solid advice
💪💪
Can you make video on your personal daily workout routine
Yeah it’s simple. I do a few hard sets of pushes, pulls and legs daily. Some morning cardio and some pre-bed stretches. Nothing fancy.
@@Kboges Do hard sets daily? 🙄
When do you recover? 🙄
@@Kboges Ok 👍 Let me try that 😄
@@saishankar4328shoot me an email or join the community if you have any questions. It’s a simple way to train and it works very well.
Which country do you live in? It's always so tropical and sunny outside, a great contrast to the grey gloom of the UK!
I'm in the US. San Diego
Awesome content as always, thank you.
I notice you grab the bar without putting your thumb around, is it more comfortable or?
Love your work for years now Kyle. Would you be interested in coming onto my talk show as a guest?
The Sustainable Path IS THE Shortcut...
Truth!
Hi Kyle, thanks so much for all the information you put out in your videos they have helped me massively in my approach to health and fitness! I have a question, if one is following your high frequency training approach, I.e 6 days a week ppl one movement close to failure, is there any elevated injury risk in using rings?
Hey Kyle,
You have been the single greatest influence on my training since I ever started. Am planning on hitting the elusive 20 pull ups in one set milestone this year (can do 12 reps now). How would you recommend training for it?
I'm working on a program to help people get there. Shoot me an email (put pull ups in the subject header) and you can run it to see how it works for you.
@@KbogesSure I will. Thanks.
