I really loved Forgive Me, Leonard Peacock! Yes, the ending was left really open, but I didn't let that bother me so much, because I found that this could be like a good discussion point. So yeah, this book really left me thinking about life and things. And I really liked all the subjects this book adressed. It kind of felt so me, not the dark parts of course. But yeah, I really liked it, so it got 5 stars from me :)
I just LOVE listening to your reviews. You have such a wonderful personified way of explaining books that just always makes me want to read ALL the books.
I feel sane when I watch your videos... Not because of your craziness or anything, just because I've really gotten into a routine of chilling out and watching them. Travelling around a lot and trying to still get work done for uni is a lot of work. Definitely want to read night film now!
On the topic of Night Film being immersive, if you didn't already know, there is actually a free app you can download on your phone for the book. Every time you see the symbol on a page with an article or picture or something you can scan it and it will pull up extra stuff. My favorite is a slideshow of all the movie posters of Cordova's films. :) It's a pretty cool little add on.
Your enthusiam for books you love always tempts me to pick those up. I read Night Film back in January/February-ish and it was good, but I wasn't blown away. Your description of it makes me want to pick it up again haha. Forgive Me, Leonard Peacock--how amazing is Herr Silverman?! What a wonderful teacher.
I felt the exact same way you did while reading Ava Lavender! It was so different and beautiful and poetic I just didn't know what to say about it except that I loved it so much
When you compared Ava Lavender to Big fish (both things I absolutely love) it took me back to when I said the same exact thing to my friend when she asked me about the book.
I was on the fence about Night Film but I think you might have convinced me! Now I wish I would have been able to read it for October but alas, any time will work just as well. Glad you had such good luck with books this month! I really need to pick up something by Marcus Sedgwick I haven't read any of his work yet!
I've seen the Ava Lavender book around a lot but this is the first time I've wanted to pick it up. I love the Big Fish film and I like the book too. Forgive Me, Leonard Peacock sounds really dark but interesting. I feel like I'd have to be in the right mood to read it.
Deadly Class doesn't really have a main thread, mainly because it's taken directly from Rick Remender's (the author) journal, and it's just kinda his high school years chronicled in this book (obviously he didn't attend a school for assassins).
URGH! i wish i could read more right now! I just watch your videos instead but it just increases my TBR list... After i graduate school i will read constantly for a week :P
I own both Night Film and Special Topics in Calamity Physics by Marisha Pessl. I need to start them A.S.A.P. Are you planning on reading her other book? I want to hear your opinion. That one takes place at a college.
Always love books that manage to mess with my mind. So Night Film, I'll come and get you. If you want to read a Book that let you question the limitations of reality, pick up the Gargoyle (not about gargoyles) by Andrew Davidson. I was torn, wanted it so bad to be true.
I have the strange and beautiful sorrows of ava lavender, and I have to say, I couldn't even get past the first chapter. I was bored to tears, did anyone else experience that? After seeing your review I may pick it up again and have another go
Have you read Endgame yet? I know you did the unboxing video. I have like 10 pages left but I've been too busy to finish it, hopefully I'll finish it tonight.
I've been wanting to pick up deadlyclass for a while now! It sounds amazing. I own the strange and beautiful sorrows of ava lavender. I should pick it up soon!! Great wrap up! I also did an October wrap up on my channel, if you want to check it out:)

Oh and i loved marisha pessl's previous book but i think this might be a tad too scary for me haha what a shame..but check out her other one, I think it's called special topics in calamity physics or something like that! it blew me away when I read it a few years ago!
Ok, so I need to know what did you thing about the ending of 'The Strange and Beautiful Sorrows of Ava Lavender' because it was the most beautiful book in a very long time and you are the only person in the entire world who's read it. :D
I usually really like your videos and get exited every time a new one pops up in my inbox. However, in this video you seem kind of distracted. I felt like you had difficulty in gathering your thoughts about the books and it got to a point where it was difficult for me to follow. What I'm trying to say is that I love your energetic, well planned and fun videos and hope we'll get to see them soon.

It took me 2 minutes after seeing your review of Night Film for me to order it on Amazon. I really hope I love it :)
I just read Ava Lavendar and felt exactly the same way. Oh my god it was great. Possibly one of my new favourites.
Deadly Class doesn't really have a main thread, mainly because it's taken directly from Rick Remender's (the author) journal, and it's just kinda his high school years chronicled in this book (obviously he didn't attend a school for assassins).

I can imagine an Ava Lavender movie being directed by Tim Burton. Is that strange?
Hi! Check out The Garden Of Evening Mists by Tan Twan Eng, it's one of my favorites :)
Did you use the Night Film app? It's so cool! :) I'm only a little way into the book.
Why didn't you talk about the app that comes with Night Film? I thought the app was so cool
you should read the name of the wind
books that collect a few issues of comic books are called trade paperbacks. not to be rude i just keep hearing people call them bindups.
Where did you get the To Kill A King poster? Btw I love all your videos! :)
Have you read Red Pyramid by Rick??
Great vid Regan :)
Ok, so I need to know what did you thing about the ending of 'The Strange and Beautiful Sorrows of Ava Lavender' because it was the most beautiful book in a very long time and you are the only person in the entire world who's read it. :D
Where did you get your bookshelves/cases?
I worry so much for Mathew Quick. All his books feature depression, death or stalking. Seriously weird.
Congrats on surviving midterms!

Mariann OL I got it off amazon

The Perks of Being a Wallflower. That book was just meh for me.

MARISHA! Not Marsha. It's a bit trivial, but come on... Every video so far.
