Love the video, it takes me right back to when I was in the trade here in UK and I learned a customer had 'passed'. He had a 7' x 2' x 2' which I acquired and set up in the shop as a Marine tank at eye watering expense.😪 These things are not easy to move and site but are so rewarding once complete. You have certainly done a fine job and the tank looks amazing. Thank you so much for sharing.
Loveeeeed this video Blake! I love how you covered everything in the video instead of making it separate parts. Thank you tonnes for the shout out as well!
Ohh wow, forget breaking the glass it breaks me to know it would have just been smashed ha, cool background story. Class looking setup, thank you for going so in depth, it will come in handy when i get a big tank, currently at 12 tanks but no more then 3ft, Uv steriliser is great, it did wonders for my koi pond. great idea with the sponge filters, i use to do that in my hob filters ha. Side note - I thought the tannins made it look nice ha I havent dabbled in co2 yet but will test it in the future on a nano setup Loveeee clown loaches too, a great addition for a tank is the "blue eye forktail rainbowfish" the males get this red undertone during heat and look great, very happy with mine! electric blue rams are great too but territorial indeed. good addition to that size tank is also red tail black shark, they wouldnt be crazy with ur size tank and go great with clown loaches.
You might want something to take care of black beard algae. Looks like you're getting some on your plants. Siamese/chinese algae eater or maybe amano shrimp.
@@BlakesAquatics At 20:43 it looks like BBA on the plant. Hard to be 100% sure but you might want to look at that. Besides pointing that out I should add that I think it's a beautiful tank with some really interesting fish choices. Nicely done! And if those clown loaches grow they will really dominate the tank! Which I think is fine because they are beautiful, peaceful, and interesting fish.
Another ripper video Blake, I think Congo tetras would look amazing in that tank too. A little extra blue and green to highlight the angels and rainbows
@@BlakesAquatics Ha! I just mentioned Colombians in an earlier post....GO FOR IT! (Diamonds or Black Phantoms would look hella sweet too, IMO) Thanks for sharing, mate. Tank looks DOPE!
You should stack your foam/sponge pads inside the sump like books shelf and make the so the water flows perpendicular/sideways through them, as they block up the water level rises which can be seen from the side
Awesome save Blake! Seeing a tank that size and in that nice of a condition surely would've been a saddening thing to see go to waste. Could only imagine what the previous owner paid for it.
Well done mate looks cracking. Maybe a little staghorn/bba in the backgound of the whiptail footage? Prob me being paranoid i just got rid of it in my tank
Thanks mate, you know it had to have bows in it 😆 couldve easily had a skittles tank with all different kinds but I wanted to keep the option open to drop a mop in there
@@BlakesAquatics Wow! A month and you're that heavily stocked? That shows great care and attention to detail! (I'm particularly impressed by the quality of your Clowns! Very high contrast with no band bleeding!)
Hey Blake, I’m loving your channel, but worried about what I think was power extension leads resting on the top of your tank lids. Please be safe Blake.

I am actually in love with this tank... It's incredible! Thank GOODNESS it didn't get smashed up
Thanks 😄
A huge group of Panda Garra would be a lot of fun to watch in that tank.
Oh id love that, sadly they arent able to be imported into Aus
Thats a shame! They're a lot of fun
Blake, the cream on top will be a black ghost knifefish, trust me :)
Good call! I had an 18 inch / 45cm one once but it ate an angelfish in half and i sold it after that
@@BlakesAquatics I had one up to 9 inches long, my wife's favorite fish

I love the wood. It low key looks like a pig where the more vertical piece meets the horizontal ones 😍😂
😅 cheers
I love the fish you choose, I think they are perfect together and have so much room to thrive and it’s so natural!! Gorgeous setup too with the logs 🤯
Thank you 😄
Thank you 😄

I dont think I have seen any BBA? I will grab a couple of SAEs though, always handy to have anyways

@@BlakesAquatics I concur mightily! Perhaps some Diamond tetras, Colombian tetras or Black Phantoms?
Its a work if natural art.....beautifully stocked and scaped ......

Congratulations!!! What a wonderful friend to think of you. The tank looks gorgeous!!

Fantastic pick up! The fish and scape look incredibly natural. Looking forward to updates on this for sure 👍

That massive tank looks super mate! Congrats on the wonderful inhabitants you chose for it…. A piece of living artwork!😍
Thanks so much
Thats a dream tank right there, looks great, needs more shrimp
Prawny! Soo good to see you here mate hope you are well
@@BlakesAquatics better now that i have seen this beast of an aquarium 😍
Looks great, just run a piece of black Angie along the front to hide the blue mats. Corydoras would be great.
True good idea
Nice score mate. Tank looks fantastic. 👍
Now that's just awesome. Love the tank . Some wild type discuss would look really nice in there
I like it! Good idea
Looks super top ace mate. That's a pride and joy tank if ever I seen one.
Wow, what an awesome find. Looks fantastic. Must of been a huge job but so worth it. ❤️🇦🇺
It looks amazing. And a nice simpel but safe sump buildup. Great go through lesson. Congratulations withyour great tank. 😊🇩🇰🇦🇺👋
Thanks mate 👌
Seriously great looking tank you e got there Blake, looking forward to seeing it once it’s all grown in. Top work mate 👍
Love your tank I really don't think you need any more as it looks perfect to me and the fish look happy
Looks awesome mate. Maybe some Burmese Rummy Noses. I think they are big enough and fast enough to not get eaten, and would provide a pop of colour.
Good call! Love those and the blue would be a nice pop
Looks great Blake, a lot of work went into it I'm sure! Great to see it up and running 👍
Thanks Sam
Tank looks great! I think a school of kamaka rainbows and a school of some type of Cory would look awesome
Good call!
It turned out great. You could use black poly for the return.
True! Ill have to visit reece or something
Awesome tank. I really love the wood and plants. Some Columbia Tetras would look great I think.

If i did that the water woukd just take the easiest path and flow up and over them. This way the water has no choice but to flow through
What a dream tank
Im very lucky
Very cool tank, great work on the stand.
Thanks 👍
Absolutely stunning! Perhaps ember tetras would be good?
I reckon theyd quickly be lost down the overflow unfortunately
8ft what a dream!❤
Awesome save Blake!

Exactly! Is basically scratch free
Shhh 🤫
We don't speak of those. 😉😊
Great fish selection.

Yeah i reckon so, ill get some SAEs onto it
Great setup Blake 👍
Blake shout out from Washington State, USA! I love your aquarium coop hoody and your channel🎉
Awesome! Thank you!
beautiful tank Blake!
Thanks mate, you know it had to have bows in it 😆 couldve easily had a skittles tank with all different kinds but I wanted to keep the option open to drop a mop in there
your driftwood is awesome, really want a setup like this, will this setup work with a Saratoga single species tank with driftwood and plants?
It would and I definitely considered it but i prefer the 3ft width of my other tank for my saratoga
Love the tank Blake, where did you get the driftwood from? Dennison barbs would be a great addition.
From k2 in keysborough 😄
Great call!
The whiptail winked! I’ve never noticed a fish with eyelids before, also how are you heating the tank?❤️🇦🇺
The room is heated 😄

I forgot you heat the room, sorry❤️🇦🇺
Wow! Looks absolutely beautiful! What else can you say?!
Thanks 😄
Tiptop looking tank mate :) curious as to what you're using to insulate your garage door?
Its foilboard, basically panels of styrofoam
Hey can I ask where you got the rainbows from? I'm in Geelong too and would love some
Hey mate, a local breeder in Armstrong Creek. Send me a dm and ill try and connect you with him
Great tank and great story
Thanks
Looks GREAT!
such a nice setup and stocking choice, although i think a huge school of tiny fish in there would look amazing
Yeah i thought that as well but was worried theyd go down the overflow
@@BlakesAquatics true i didn’t think about that, you could probably use some of that matala mat to block it off
Yo Blake you have to get corys they will hang out with the clown loaches 👍
Very beautiful aquarium Love the scape!
Thanks Sandy 😄
awesome tank! maybe throw in some red tail sharks?
Yeah good call, i was thinking theyd be too similar to the clown loaches but would be a nice contrast colour wise
Have to ask..........Where did you find the Red-Breasted Acaras?
I've been wanting these for ages.
Allfish2u, got them online 👍
Wow 👌 looks amazing dream tank
Lovin the new setup man
Epic deal you got on that tank!

How long has it been setup?

Where can I find driftwood like that??
I got it from new life k2 keysborough
Great video and tank mate. I've just acquired a large tank for free myself (650L). Will take inspiration from this, I'm hoping to go mostly rainbows.
Good luck!
Love that tank. Well done. What about adding a Pearl Gourami or will that be too small?
That could work, definitely one ill consider
Looking good ❤
🙌
i filled my 100+gallon aquarium with swords and guppies its an orchestra of color
Chuck in some Brochis Multiradiatus.
Good call
Needs more salt :P But nah, seriously - cool setup :)
