*Purifying the Heart.* 7:17 the secret: لا أجد في نفسي لأحد من المسلمين غشاً، ولا أحسد أحداً على خيرٍ أعطاه الله the only thing is that before i go to sleep, i ensure there is absolutely no treachery in my heart towards anybody from the Muslims, and i do not have envy towards anybody of the Muslims. Abdullah ibn ‘Amr ibn al-‘As replied: THIS is what took you up to that level (being of the People of Paradise), and this is what we all struggle with. [Musnad Ahmad 12286]
Hasad means having Envy and Jealousy of a someone. For example, if your friend has a nice car, inside your heart you become jealous and envious - This is Hasad. Also read Surah Falaq.
Heard this heaps of times but always enjoy listening to it as a reminder. It actually feels good to let go of any ill feelings towards someone but it can only be done with the help of Allah.
