This was me back in 2016 with one chick I had high interest in. I look back at myself in disgust. Now I’m the one who takes my sweet time responding back, and I keep my texts down to a minimum. I call instead. If no answer, I just wait and leave it at that

Texting has to be done at the correct pace. Never text back straight away. It looks like you have nothing better to do. In fact it's good to be busy and tell them that.
Texting is good to keep in touch, simply NOT TOO OFTEN. Or to extensive.
Wait for the reply then wait some time before you reply - that's the golden rule.

On the other hand: if you already read the message it can mean stress not to reply because you are not getting done with it. Sometimes its easiest to only check the phone not that often or to mute your SO's texts ;P

A man who is preoccupied with soothing a woman’s emotions is doing it to soothe himself. If he is pursuing emotional intimacy too quickly, it’s because he needs it to feel secure.
Back 2017 I met this really pretty girl on a friend's debut and we partied, drank and even played truth or dare with her friends. Eventually we gave each other's social media and we went on talking on messenger since then. I really blew it up whenever I try to think of it now because I was really clingy to her. I was so mesmerized about how I catched a beautiful lady in the sea. We would see each other atleast 2-3 times a week and if not, we're still talking everyday and it has become a routine and I know it fucked the relationship up. I was so invested in her but sadly the attraction she felt for me once wasnt the same in the end. So there kids, never talk to a girl you're really interested in every single day.

Man, I needed to hear that. Texting girls has always driven me mad and I know in hindsight I can be impatient and needy. But the problem is I have a track-record of long-distance relationships with women, both romantic and platonic, and texting is the only way. It's so hard to pull away when you're just trying to have a normal damn conversation and can hardly ever get a reply in a reasonable time.
I think calling her is much better.

Yup I straight up tell them I'm not a big texter. It's for setting up dates not having a conversation, I don't have the time for that. Too often it just ends up being a waste of time because you text for a week, then never meet, or have one date and it goes nowhere.
Yep pretty much makes dating impossible. Women want to text all the time and it’s way to easy to look needy or send the wrong message.
One of the few videos i agree with from you. Texting has a high chance to be misunderstood and take out the thrill of meeting a person. Let real face to face meetings or at least phone conversations fill the emotional connection you two need.

I believe and i agree it kills attraction. For example you just only meet this girl or boy only once and you continue both chatting until you both attracted to each other. You are chatting all the time without any face time. This will definately kill atttaction because you just only meet that girl or boy once, and you dont know who he or she really in personal and it kills attraction using texting and i cannot explain why like there is something that will looose your emotions to that person or you will sometimes feel cringe.

When I intially met my girlfriend I was the one person who never used texting to communicate I wanna see you but when I told her I like to write and she felt that me texting her would let her feel like I'm thinking of her so I started texting her every morning every night or whenever she crossed my mind when I couldn't see her she say she looked forward to my text because she felt they were so passionate and they made her day but as time went on it became reading but no response to not reading at all we listen to our love ones give them what they tell us they want then they flip the script on us! I would have never been texting if she didn't ask for it smh

Very true... I'm currently having this issue. A guy I liked is over doing things too fast... we literally hung out twice and he send me love poems and even talked about marrying me... now I'm uncomfortable and dont really like talking to him anymore when I was really into him... Talking on the phone and taking frequent time off after awhile are more efficient. Texting should really be done in crowded or nosey areas. Every other time talking is more than solid
I so regret doing this mistake back in 2011. How massively your advice would have helped then. Even after 10 years, can't get this out of my head.
But I've improved since then. Doing continuous gym, maintaining a strong and lean physique and stopped giving f*** to women. Life's changed dramatically! Now women do things to grab my attention.

I would never text someone for more than just for a few minutes like in an emergency especially if we first met face to face. Why would anyone do that? I want to see her face and smile not look at words on a phone. It's like people use it as a crutch to avoid a real relationship.
