This album has to be my favorite H&O. I tried for a long time to find the record and couldnt find it anywhere. So sad this is not easier to get ahold of. Thanks You tube for putting these great songs at my fingertips to listen to and enjoy just like hearing them the first time. Great memories and great times.
With the release of the movie Palm Springs (where they use this song perfectly and completely), on Hulu this week, It would be great of Atlantic re-re-release the Abandon Luncheonette album again! (1973 & 1976 - when the sings version of "She's Gone" broke - the album version is better!) The CDs are sold out on Amazon, but it streams for free on Prime. Do yourself a favor and listen to the whole album (just the samples will likely hook you to buy the mp3s if you don't have Amazon Prime!) 1. When the Morning Comes 2. Had I Known You Better Then 3. Las Vegas Turnaround (The Stewardess Song) 4. She's Gone 5. I'm Just a Kid (Don't Make Me Feel Like a Man) 6. Abandoned Luncheonette 7. Lady Rain 8. Laughing Boy 9. Everytime I Look at You www.amazon.com/Daryl-Hall-John-Oates-Luncheonette/dp/B0017CW5CQ/ref=sr_1_1?crid=2SV8DFRVXW7WL&dchild=1&keywords=abandoned+luncheonette&qid=1595171442&sprefix=Abandond+Lunch%2Caps%2C230&sr=8-1
My GOD. I havent heard this song since the 19780's. Listening again in 2019...ALL THESE MEMORIES FLOWING OUT....Im a dude, and Im crying like a baby...My Fav H and O by far...Sorry Sara Smile youre now 2nd place
A great album and song in my opinion. Daryl hall said that "She's Gone" from the album is probably the best song that he wrote. it's been nicely covered, and Tavares had a #! Billboard his with their rendition. :)
Cara.. Fazia anos que eu não ouvia essa música. Daryl Hall & John Oates - When The Morning Comes - Quando A Manhã Chegar. Música Fodástica das galáxias de todo o Universo observável. Fomos Felizes. Minha geração foi feliz. Me fez lembrar minha juventude nos anos 80's. E na trilha de " Palm Springs " fez o filme e seu final, ficarem perfeitos. Valeu Pessoas. 💙 🤍 ❤️
Just recently saw them in concert and they did a few songs from "Abandoned Luncheonette" album but this is the one song I kept wanting to hear but they didn't do it. They did my fave though "Las Vegas Turnaround". Memories ... Isn't that what life is all about? ... Making memories so that we can smile and tell ourselves when we get old "I remember when."
I am from Detroit, and from day one, I was a huge fan of H&O. Even the pre-AL releases that were very hard to find. I was in a band and we use to always try to cover Daryl and Johns stuff....the harmonies were marvelous.
I had never heard this song before. Hall and Oats 1973. That was before I started listening to music, but seems like it would have crossed my path at some time before Palm Springs. I looked it up thinking it was the Starlight Vocal Band.
Just to clarify, he's actually playing a Saxello, which is kind of like a soprano, and was only made in the 1920s. You can see the bottom bell is turned upwards, but not all the way, like a curved soprano is... they're pretty cool instruments.
Since you seem to know a thing or two about it, is this the instrument that Branford played so much of while working with sting? First that comes to mind is Englishman in New York, but many other songs as well.
This song is 48 years old, my god where has the time gone.
palm spring movie brought me here
Yeah buddy ✨️
Palm Springs get me here 😍
This song led me to the movie! Loved it!
I loved this song from the first time I heard it and it ALWAYS makes me feel good. It'll be alright when the morning comes.
This is my and my exes love song. We heard it for the first time when we started to date. It brings only pain but I can't give it up...
Amo esta cancion, es como recordar una mañana caminando por la Orillia de la playa en mi casa. ❤🎶🎶🎶🎶👏👏👏👏🇲🇽 @DarylHall
My entire childhood just came back to me. I remember the abandoned luncheonete CD playing when my mom did work around the house. So great..

Abandon Luncheonette..... That's my favorite!!!!
It's a milestone of an album and a big boost for their careers.

good to see Mr Hall having fun with his music again.

My favorite song from my favorite album.
I saw Hall and Oates in concert and they performed this song.
Robert George Yokoyama unless you were at this show, I doubt it.
such a talented band.... love them!
It appears " The Abandoned Luncheonette" is back and open for business. Fantastic. 👍😉💞🙃😎🔥
Love this song... also shades of Supertramp with the sax player...😎👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

"I'd rather die with you than live in this world without you." #PALMSPRINGS
"Palm Springs"...and the dinosaurs in the last scene before the credits brought me here...
While 'Luncheonette' was generally ignored 40 years ago, it was a hit in my home area of Minneapolis. Great that others eventually discovered it.
Fargo/Moorhead too! At least in our 1976 Freshman dorm room at Concordia!
It received some attention and airplay here in the Washington D.C. area. I loved it then and ever since.
It was the go to in my house. I love the album. I still play it several times a week.❤❤
i would have loved to be there
i WISH THAT THEY WOULD HAVE DID THAT WHOLE ALBUM......
Timeless
Never knew this was them. What a great band.

@@alexbaum2204 I believe Bradford is playing a soprano sax, but its curved neck may give a hint of a Saxello look.
Man, this is awesome.
sounds so good....
Makes me feel better after having a bad day
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
"pALm SpRiNgS bRoUgHt Me HeRe"
Such a shame the relationship broke down between these two
Palm Springs?
It hurts to not have him around anymore...
He turned 70 last year and is still performing, not sure what you mean mate.
yeah - hall has done better than a huge majority of his contemporaries and peers. really awesome to see him still going.
Toni De Wonderful maybe he meant tbone
I don't like the tempo changes , they make me dizzy
