When you have a team with Curry, KD, Bron and Co, it's tough for guys like Tatum to get more minutes in. Bron set the tone for the team from the go, and when it was clutch time, Kerr and Bron let Curry cook. I don't see any issue at all, as long as they won the gold. Hell, Tatum didn't even win Finals MVP, even though he did have a better Finals than people give him credit for.
Blocked! (No celtics fans are permitted to correspond with me)
Kerr wouldn't have done that to a real dog. Tatum has to earn respect. He has to earn playing time.
I don't have a problem with Kerr's decision. Tatum has a tendency to turn the ball over at the wrong time and then he becomes a head case.
Im a Celtic fan and love JT but he was benched bc he was not shooting well and this team was about LBJ, KD, and Steph.
I'm glad all this bullshit has happened this off-season with the Celtics, Tatum, and Brown. This team will be super motivated to go back to back.
It’s about FIT. Not put out the most talent.
As a Celtics fan , thanks Steve you rested him to the season. #banner19
Steven A slurping to the Celtics fans just as the Nba season is gonna start
Exactly clayton. Tf
That Suit is screaming MONEEEEEY! Fit is fire
The media made sure to stir the pot back up on this one. lol
My brother, I could not agree with you more!!! THAT SHIT WAS PERSONAL
As a nba fan, I personally don’t care about this take or JT situation even JB not being in the Olympics, it’s done, now let focus on the upcoming NBA season and the potential last show of inside the nba
Tatum shouldve been in the starting lineup even like how do you put down your 5 best players and not include the world champ
They needed damn near a miracle to beat Serbia and barely won the gold medal game. If they had JT on the floor throwing up bricks they would NOT have even gotten out of the semi final let alone a gold.
A real professional would simply say... ``We had a solid all star roster and whatever the team needed from me i was ready, the goal was to win gold and we achieved that as a team``... but u can tell the lack of maturity and professionalism
Jason should have told him: if you're not able to find minutes, then I don't think I'll be able to find a reason to stay. And if he doesn't play you, you just go on vacation 🤷♂️
No that gold medal is fire
There's no reason to leave him off
Come on SA, USA won the gold. What more do you want. It's not like Tatum never played a single minute. We all know bow good of a player is but you can only play so many guys at a time. If Tatum played loads of minutes and somehow USA didn't win the gold, people might have been talking about him negatively.
Exactly. Most simping take of all time. He’s like, “I am my brother’s keeper!!”
He got benched because Kerr got embarrassed in Boston with the 50 piece
Totally agree with you Stephen A. Jason was disrespected by Steve, plain and simple. What's the way Bobby Knight will be forever known for throwing the chair on the floor, Steve Kerr will be known for his mistreatment of superstar. Kerr always had class... but that fell out the window after these Olympics and his handling of Tatum.
Steven A just mad that Kerr gave the Celtics an edge this year. Which will make it that much harder for his Knicks to beat them this year 😂
If Kawhi was healthy he might've been off the team with Jaylen, stop it.
3:16 SA this was the Olympics not the NBA totally different man. You can’t keep thinking they did him wrong, they did what was in their best interest to win GOLD. Wake up!!!
Tatum plays weird when the lights are on him
WEEE DID IIIIIIITTTTT!!!! OH MY GOD! WE DID IT!!
Tatum is going crazy, he’s the future of the league Lebron, curry, Durant won’t be around for next Olympics. He’s definitely starting the next 2 or 3 Olympics if he stays healthy. USA got gold that’s all that matters, Tatum get some skin don’t complain you are a MVP caliber player.
Did anyone finish watching this?
Bro. If Stephen A and a few other pundits DON’T make it a big deal. It wouldn’t even be news ESPECIALLY since they WON! My goodness let it go!!
Everybody knows it was Lebron, Step, KD team lmao
IT IS INEXCUSABLE THAT A BLACK SPORTS JOURNALIST WHO WENT TO A HISTORICALLY BLACK COLLEGE, TO HAVE NEVER PUBLICALLY CALLED OUT THE NBA FOR ITS FAILURE TO HONOR BLACK HISTORY MONTH ON NBA UNIFORMS. AFTER IT HAS HONORED
1.ST PATRICKS DAY 2.CHINESE NEW YEAR 3.HISPANIC HERITAGE MONTH
ON NBA UNIFORMS
It did have BLM on the court and social justice statements instead of names. During the playoffs. Does that not count? There are many other examples, but that one is a big one.
THE NBA IS 80 % BLACK PLAYERS. IT IS DISRESPECTFUL TO MAKE BLACK PLAYERS WEAR NBA UNIFORMS HONORING
1.ST PATRICKS DAY 2.CHINESE NEW YEAR 3.HISPANIC HERITAGE MONTH BUT DONT GIVE THEM THE HONOR OF WEARING AN NBA UNIFORM THAT HONORS BLACK HISTORY MONTH. @@conyeezy8027
NBA PLAYERS HAD TO WEAR UNIFORMS TO HONOR
1.ST PATRICKS DAY 2.CHINESE NEW YEAR 3.HISPANIC HERITAGE MONTH
SO I AM SURE THEY SHOULD HAVE THE EQUAL OPPORTUNITY TO WEAR AN NBA UNIFORM THAT HONORS BLACK HISTORY MONTH
Did y'all forget he was carried in the playoffs that year??? Shot about 35% and was a turnover machine.. has anyone considered that?? He didn't get the finals MVP for a reason and everyone there outperformed him in the playoffs. Better numbers on better efficiency. The facts people tend to miss get on my nerves
He had more points, rebounds and assist than everybody on his team in the finals what are you talking about? Lol
I’m sorry, but Kerr’s objective was to win the gold for Team USA. Not to make sure there was no hurt feelings.
cool, lets figure out why Zach Lowe got fired from ESPN
They clearly tryna break the young Champs spirit!!
SAS blows harder than a hurricane
Dude! Steven A. Team USA won Gold. The pressure was on to win Gold, other teams were Ballin' and a Gold Medal was not a guarantee for Team USA. The pressure was deep. Kerr went with the most experienced players and the most clutch performers. USA 🇺🇸 won 🏆the Gold Medal 🏅. Enough said. This is not rec league. Maybe someone is not gonna get time. USA 🇺🇸 won Gold. That's all that matters. Not your approval for Kerr or Tatums ego. Congratulations to the team, players, and coaches. I hope Tatum goes on to represent the USA 🇺🇸 in the next Olympics and is the best player and doing equally amazing things as Curry just did to bring home Gold Medal 🏅 from Paris! Let's wait for that, and I really hope Tatum can sieze Gold for the USA next Olympics.
