good4U I'm 63 still working 7 days a week 80 hours a week. i want to save enough to retired without going back to work and live on passive rental income and start traveling to southeast Asia and back to America when the weather too hot in srok Khmer.😂
Yes if you eat street food or local then the foods are very affordable but if you buy western or anything imported then the price can be expensive. Nice video
These what we have done before and after our retirement similar to your suggestions: Before retirement: pay off mortgage and any debts, invest to our retirement accounts as soon as we can, downside every thing including home and other unnecessary expenses. After retirement: Do not rely on social security benefits, have cash flow from your retirement accounts or other sources, retire early as you can as life is short. Capital gains from real estate less than $500,000 you do not have to pay any taxes. We came to this world with bare handed and we're going back with nothing. Sharing is caring. Peace ✌️
How old are you? I'm thinking of retired in Cambodia too. Since I was borned and raised there. My only concerned is that I'm on some Med that they don't have it there and the weather is too hot. I don't like mosquitos, and other bugs. I came to US 43 years ago and it so difficult to adjut to the climate there but I love Khmer food and people there. I'm planning to visit in January 2025 in Bathambong. Hope I can run to you and get some more input about living there. Best Sophal
You sound reasonable long time in the past forget it you can’t take it back moving forward and enjoy for your retirement because you can’t beat the time, like you said time is too short.
When you're retired. No more payment except rent. You should retired as early as possible. You still can do a lot staff by yourself. I'm 62 years old and living in Cambodia. I'm enjoying my life more when I was working. Specialy living in Cambodia. Everything is cheaper. I only pay rent $100.00 per month in Kampot province.
Best secure place for Khmer American to live in Siem Reap, Cambodia is around pub street. My rent is $250 + electric and water total cost $330 for one bedroom apartment.
I can picture myself having that breakfast and a nice coffee!
