What Do You Guys Think Of Cory’s News About The Future Of Hoodwinked🤯? How do you think we can make more noise📢? But otherwise, thank you so much again to Cory for sitting down with me and sharing all of this fantastic Information about the creation of Hoodwinked 🙏 - This video honestly wouldn't have been anywhere near as good without this peak behind the curtain he gave me. I am proud to say that Cory and Todd Edwards are my cousins! I literally watched these two (and their sister Katie, who is also in the movie business today) grow up, and I can tell you that they were creating some kinds of films and entertainment ever since they were little kids. Of course, I own a copy of both Chillicothe and Hoodwinked, and I know that they are all three geniuses. We loved Hoodwinked when it was released, but I will admit that I had no idea of the backstory of its making until I watched your video. Hearing this story, I have to say that I believe this was divine intervention that helped them finish the project and have the success that they did, and which they rightly deserve. I also highly recommend their first film, Chillicothe, which made it to Sundance. Cory and Todd, I am not surprised, but my hat is off to both of you again after hearing your back story! I look forward to the next family reunion so we can all find out what new madness you are concocting!
People act like bad animation means it's bad overall. It isn't. Hoodwinked is a very fun and great movie. The world is wacky, charming, and real Looney Tunes. The animation does look a little wonky and some shots look pretty bad, but I'll argue that the story and how it's told makes it a wonderful movie.
Interesting story: when I was younger my brother had friends who would come over just to watch hoodwink. They were in high school! Love it to this day.🤩
Hoodwinked is how my junior high school teacher taught literary devices. I still remember what an allusion is thanks to my teacher using the "Use the hood" scene as an explanation. I didn't know about how much effort it took to make this movie. It makes me appreciate it more, knowing that.
This definitely left an impact on me as a kid. I DEFINITELY had that feeling of "this looks awful", but clearly it was different, telling a different kind of story I hadn't seen come out of disney and dreamworks, and was very surprised. Ended up being a bit of a cult classic between me and my brother, and still have some scenes glued in my head decades later.
Hoodwinked is one of those ideas you and your friends wound come up saying "wouldn't it be funny if that was made into a movie?" But someone actually did it. "Wouldn't it be funny if they made a movie about red riding hood, but it was a murder mystery and we get to see everyone's testimony from their biased perspective?" Yes, yes it absolutely would be funny
Being a film director who is now on year six of my first feature, I relate a little too much. I feel very understood hearing their story. Had no idea any of this was going on when seeing it in the theater as a six-year-old.
7:03 I see what you did there. I didn't even know Patrick Warburton was in a movie opposite Peter Dinklage, but I'm glad that was your visual aid of him doing "little stuff."
I remember seeing this once (on DVD I think) and it was definitely better than it looked at first. And the more I've heard about its production, the more I realize this really was lightning in a bottle, with anything like it probably never to happen again.
I've never met anyone outside my family that has seen this movie but that is great cause I get manu chances to share it, I love this film, is so entertaining and even tho is not the prettiest, I think it works for the best, the look of it is a big part of its magic
I would consider Gints Zibalodis's Flow a modern CGI masterpiece, and I haven't even seen it yet! Flow was produced and rendered on Blender by a crew of no more than fifty people on a budget of no less than three and a half million euros, but most importantly from my point of view, Flow is silent. It has no dialogue! Just pure and simple visual storytelling. And the icing on the cake? Flow won the Golden Globe Award for Best Animated Feature Film!
Great video! I hope one day Hoodwinked gets remade only in terms of animation! Exact same story, dialogue, soundtrack… just revamped graphics from the ground up. The tech available today is such a night and day difference, that even a comparable indie production could make a substantial upgrade to the visual fidelity
I was in FX, but been out of the industry since the strikes 😭 - so I am very lucky that this channel is doing well 😂 I hope to go back once things have finally settle down 👍
I was hoping you would touch on why this movie is not available for purchase as a digital download on ANY movie purchase/streaming platforms. I've been trying to buy it for years and the only option appears to be disc copies.
I wish I could convey to yall how BONKERS the brasilian-portuguese dub of this movie is. We have a really strong dub industry here but this movie gets 10x more amazing from what they've done!
Still, none of it would have worked if they didn't have a good story. Something that is being lost in Hollywood lately and even with independent film makers. Fans/viewers can forgive a lot if the story hits home.
I literally didn't know about this before I watched a video about it like 3 years ago from a creator called Kery. He's a Czech and makes funny videos about roasting movies. Respect for making a video about Hoodwinked 3 years later.🫡

This is so freaking cool. I remember seeing this film in the theater without having any idea about the crazy production

Speaking of which, how’s Cory Edwards doing nowadays? I heard he directed the 2020 film “Fearless”.

the animation is bad. the film itself is a masterpiece. if anything, this film deserves a remaster/remake of sorts
I grew up on transformers beast wars. Terrible animation for today's standards, but oh boy will some episodes make you cry lol
This movie defined my childhood. How cool that you snagged an interview with the director!
I watched this movie with my family as a kid... then it became a tradition watching it once a year 😂❤
Someone finally recognized the masterpiece that is Hoodwinked!
I really want to watch it again and it’s nowhere to be found! Not even on the Apple Store except the sequel which is no thanks lmao 😭
Really looking forward to Hoodwinked 3!
Director: ''It's like this weird path that doesn't make sense.''
CGY: /shows the Star Wars sequel trilogy posters on screen/
me: dying of laughter
Hoodwinked 3 lets goooooooooooooo

Hoodwinked is the Pulp Fiction of animated fairy tales
EVERYONE WAKE UP CGY POSTED

I don't care about it's janky look, Hoodwinked is such a fun movie! It's wild and crazy and it rocks!
That’s what makes it charming.
I actually really liked this movie, it genuinely got some gold laughs out of me
I've never met anyone outside my family that has seen this movie but that is great cause I get manu chances to share it, I love this film, is so entertaining and even tho is not the prettiest, I think it works for the best, the look of it is a big part of its magic
A true classic
I want to see more stereoscopic 3D work from them! Hoodwinked Too looks great in the format if you have a projector or 3dtv :) very cool interview
Great video!
Also a storytelling masterpiece.
I remember going to see this in the cinema with my friends before everything turned to s**t in my life 😂 good times 😌
This was my childhood
I loved it
We played it all the time

its a fun movie!
Awesome
I love this deep dive
8:14 bro why is all this blender footage shot with it RUNNING ON MAC???? This is so cursed!!!
Can you do a CGI analysis of the 2005 movie stealth, how the production team made the fictional fighter jets realistic?
I always thought it looked like that on purpose
In which department you work as an artist in production?
I was in FX, but been out of the industry since the strikes 😭 - so I am very lucky that this channel is doing well 😂 I hope to go back once things have finally settle down 👍
Wonder why I've never seen this movie D:
Btw will you talk about Reboot and Shadow raiders someday?
Ah yea Reboot is certainly on the list! Shadow Raiders looks like Beast Wars, and I am certainly going to do Beast Wars - So maybe after that?
@@CGWHY yaaaay! :D
Thanks for your videos, very interesting to watch!
Still an awesome film
I was hoping you would touch on why this movie is not available for purchase as a digital download on ANY movie purchase/streaming platforms. I've been trying to buy it for years and the only option appears to be disc copies.
I don't how much I am allowed to say - But this is certainly part of the need to "make noise" online 👀
Haha yes this movie is amazing!
I wish I could convey to yall how BONKERS the brasilian-portuguese dub of this movie is.

PINOY PRIDE! GO PHILIPPINES! 🇵🇭
Still, none of it would have worked if they didn't have a good story. Something that is being lost in Hollywood lately and even with independent film makers. Fans/viewers can forgive a lot if the story hits home.
Im sorry but why is the plane going over Afrika?
I think it makes it a movie masterpiece, or an indie masterpiece, not a CGI masterpiece.
Hoodwinked reboot (by Cory) when?
Never seen it
Idiots say that pixar has the best cgi. OPEN. YOUR. EYES. its clearly dream works.
It's not April 1st, man.
I preferred it when you only showed the movie in the videos
