Cochise Stronghold - 3/2016 (drone video)

In the harsh times of Apache Wars the granitic domes in Dragoon Mountains range were used as a refuge by Chiricahua Apache tribe led by their brave chief Cochise. From his name today the place has its name: The Cochise Stronghold. Nowadays this very beautiful place of Southern Arizona is mostly populated by enthusiastic rock climbers, peaceful cattle and occasional coyotes.
This video was made from two flights over the Western area of the Stronghold with prominent domes of Sheepshead and Muttonhead, which both me and my friend climbed over two consecutive days. Since the clips were made in the morning there were no climbers on the walls yet. Just the serene and silent landscape of majestic white rocks bathing in the waking sun.
