I rarely know any of the songs you add solos to - I just come here for your excellent playing!
To be honest I don't ever listen to these tunes in my free time, pop music is not something I listen to much, probably a lack of trumpet solos haha
@@oliparker So it is overreaching all instruments then. As a drummer i also just listen to music with good technical drummers since it's the only thing helping me to progress further. i don't mind listening to the standard radio (garbage) when it's played but i wouldn't ever listen to pop by myself
Yeah I don't like the same machine style of compositions that come out in the mainstream....all G F D C nothing special to that lol on the other hand some badass trumpet solos always make the song, it gives these boring songs character.

I like how you always manage to subtly add the lick in ways that make sense within the context of the song!
I love the Latin feel and vibe to this which is obviously intentional. It’s got great flare and just fits the vibe of the song so well

That’s a good question because I’ve seen a lot of Cuban and Latin solos use that lick
As a trumpet player I like these short videos a lot. You really show what a fun and amazing instrument the trumpet is. However I can hear quite a lot of air, which is either because of improper technique (which is most likely not the case) Or because you play directly into the microphone. I would like to suggest two options: Do not play directly into the mic or put a pop-filter in front of it. Other than that, you gained a new subscriber and I am looking forward to your next videos.

Just Wow! I love your soli and you always find the right touch to make it sound extremly good.
But I have one question. How do you get your tracks with the solo part? I mean in the original there is someone singing in the back but on your pieces there is an additional solo part but also there is someone singing right before that😅 I was just wondering because you inspired me to try it on the trombone too😁
Thanks! I use a combo of the UA-cam instrumental version of a track and original w vocals and sync them up together with audio software (Logic Pro)
