how is your journey in learning japanese? I've tried but have never gotten the time nor the motivation to learn a new language (huge procrastinator) but its still true i really wanted to play those japanese games that didn't get a chance for translation. i think one way to solve my issue (other than wishing i have more time outside of work) is to have a learning buddy for japanese XD

I really loved Olympia Soiree Yosuga route. And Kuroba was also great but Yosuga just went beyond and above any of my expectations. Very well crafted characters with different personalities but still adult and mature. The rest of the men so Akaza and Riku are way less exciting in my opinion. Thank you for the video btw. @@LinLinLavender I really liked Akaza as a person but the unfortunate thing was the heroine that really acted childrish and fussy with him. It was not the case for Kuroba and Yosuga route. Also usually, the bad endings are pretty dissapointing from the romance point of view but the Kuroba and Yosuga bad ends were just characters going a little bit insane which i really love. I know Tokisada has the interesting bad ending but the thought he is underage for their standard was too offputting for me to go through it.

But that's what happens when you're raised in a Catholic household, you tend to be sheltered lol. Heck when I read my first romance novel, I didn't fully realize I was reading a "birds and bees" scene at first because of the lingo and when it finally did click, I was like, "OMG but they aren't even married yet!" I was 18 (my mom wouldn't let me read romance novels until I was that age because my aunt was trying to introduce me to them when I was a teen lol). The number one game does sound very interesting. The setting of having to seduce the men sounds good. For some reason it made me think of the RPG Vampire The Masquerade Bloodlines that I played ages ago when you play a female vampire and seduce men and convince them to go to a secluded space only to bite their neck and suck their blood.

Yoshiwara no Higanbana is definitely on top of my list! the only game that made me so emotional enough that i cried (in japan it was included in special genre: nakige) oh and i played the pc ver so the steamy scenes isn't censored😩

But honestly I think some of the best are already in English: Olympia Soirée, Cupid Parasite, Tengoku (soon), Piofiore (there are actually two games), Butterfly Poison (very special style) I think Diabolik Lovers has an English patch it's not my kind of steamy as it builds heavily on non con and humiliation, but it's extremely popular So first enjoy all of those before you feel sad about the ones that are not localised - by the time you've finished all of them there might be more English games or your Japanese more advanced 🥰 In my opinion some of the best current games do get localised so 🥳

Heart of the Woods and Seabed are really popular yuri VNs that are on both PC and consoles! A Summer's End - Hong Kong 1986 is also really good, really captures the vibe of retro HK. The Hella Yuri page on Steam has a bunch more recommendations, though they're not all VNs.
Crimson flower comes out in English in Feb and Tengoku struggle will be in English in 2024. Shuuen no Virche, Jack Jeanne and Norn9 are coming out this year in English too I think! 😁

I really loved Olympia Soiree Yosuga route. And Kuroba was also great but Yosuga just went beyond and above any of my expectations. Very well crafted characters with different personalities but still adult and mature. The rest of the men so Akaza and Riku are way less exciting in my opinion. Thank you for the video btw. @@LinLinLavender I really liked Akaza as a person but the unfortunate thing was the heroine that really acted childrish and fussy with him. It was not the case for Kuroba and Yosuga route. Also usually, the bad endings are pretty dissapointing from the romance point of view but the Kuroba and Yosuga bad ends were just characters going a little bit insane which i really love. I know Tokisada has the interesting bad ending but the thought he is underage for their standard was too offputting for me to go through it.

I think because it comes across as fun and whimsical, which it is, but it makes you feel every emotion ever! But that's what happens when you're raised in a Catholic household, you tend to be sheltered lol. Heck when I read my first romance novel, I didn't fully realize I was reading a "birds and bees" scene at first because of the lingo and when it finally did click, I was like, "OMG but they aren't even married yet!" I was 18 (my mom wouldn't let me read romance novels until I was that age because my aunt was trying to introduce me to them when I was a teen lol).
But yeah, I think I love steaminess in a game because well, I am not getting any action myself so I like getting it this way hahaha. Yeah Akaza's route from Olympia Soiree . . oooooohhh nelly! In English that's a bit difficult honestly...Crimson Flower is in English but I didn't like it...
But honestly I think some of the best are already in English: Olympia Soirée, Cupid Parasite, Tengoku (soon), Piofiore (there are actually two games), Butterfly Poison (very special style)
I think Diabolik Lovers has an English patch it's not my kind of steamy as it builds heavily on non con and humiliation, but it's extremely popular
So first enjoy all of those before you feel sad about the ones that are not localised - by the time you've finished all of them there might be more English games or your Japanese more advanced 🥰

It's just yuri games though. Otome is referring to a specific dynamic of fem protag and mostly male LIs. There's female LIs but very very little.

Heart of the Woods and Seabed are really popular yuri VNs that are on both PC and consoles! A Summer's End - Hong Kong 1986 is also really good, really captures the vibe of retro HK. The Hella Yuri page on Steam has a bunch more recommendations, though they're not all VNs.
