Your Excellency Ambassador of the Slovak Republic,
Mr. General Secretary of AKEL, Stefanos Stefanou,
Dear Colleagues,
Our forum at Ledra Palace is probably the only one left, which is in active charge of resolving the Cyprus issues. The State batteries on both sides are at a lower mark.
I sincerely hope that our forum would become a Lighthouse to guide Cyprus people into the right direction for peace and prosperity here in Cyprus for all.
The Republic of Cyprus in 1960 was not established temporary. It was established perpetually.
It follows from these views that no State upon its own mere motion can lawfully conduct acts of violence within the Republic of Cyprus.
AKEL is the oldest political party in Cyprus. AKEL relentlessly work to draw the attention of the Cyprus people to the truth, sometimes a bitter truth. We highly appreciate this work.
President Lincoln once wrote, that while America's prosperity was dependent upon the union of the states, "the primary cause" was the principle of "Liberty to all." He believed this central ideal of free government embraced all human beings, and concluded that the American revolution would not have succeeded if its goal was "a mere change of masters."
Only single, one Cyprus national authority should have a monopoly on violence and, only, - in the interests of defending the liberty of all Cyprus people. We do not need several actors on Cyprus soil with authority to use force.
From our point of view the American Union may be a more proper and an easy to understand model of the United Cyprus.
Our political party, on January 31 of this year, pointed the attention of this respectful audience on the evidences of internationally wrong acts conducted by certain foreign actors. Our political party introduced a Swiss law firm, which is ready to be depository of such evidences for eventual justice.
