Cheers for the comment about the tunes😊 not sure if u seen my other canal vids but I did a Trilogy called 'Towpath tipples' . Might be of interest . Thanks for tuning in.much appreciated 👍😊
That was most enjoyable. The English canal system is a treasure. It's amazing that they've not only preserved large portions of it, but are also adding to it. Great video. Cheers Dave 🍺
It's a great network nowadays Skid, u can travel all the way from this canal ( lancaster ) from the north all the way to London (Thames);South. Pint in every pub😂 cheers pal👍
How nice to have a long stretch without locks. Where my wife is from in the Black Country, the locks are one right after another. What a relaxing cruise.
The West Midland area has alot of canals...more than Venice. I like a few locks but doing a load in a row is hard work especially if the weather isn't so good. Everyone should do at least one canal holiday, cheers Greg🍺😊👍
It looks like a fantastic trip on a canal. I am jealous as heck. No proper canals and barges here in Oz. The pubs look great and the beers look better. I do worry about 3 gents on the Bluebell with two double beds 😳. Can’t wait for part 2. Thanks for the video. 🍻
Don't worry the makeshift double bed splits in half👍😀 shame the size of Oz and no canals. Can't get done for drink driving either, cheers my friend 👍🍺😊
Nice one guys, looking forward to us guys going on a boat trip in April, 6 of us on one boat 😵💫🥴 but should be great fun. Great video Dave. See you soon, we over in March so catch up over a pint 🍻. Cheers
Boltmaker and OP are 2 very nice pints. I was in Lancaster just before Christmas, but never got a chance for a pint. You're a brave man wearing a strange man's underwear, I just usually stick to my mum's! Keep the beer and fun coming, Cheers. 😉
Absolutely brilliant Dave, I’m getting train to Lancaster from Warrington bank quay and going to visit that pub with the old peculiar hopefully next week on one of my days off 👍😀 cheers pal.
Belting pub it is, constant live music on throughtout the week...2 pubs on the canal in town centre worth going to as well, Waterwitch & the White Cross. Cheers Paul
Fantastic video Dave!!! The Bluebell looked brilliant and I am howling laughing at all of your jokes!! Them beers are looking very tasty and your 2 mates are sound fellas (I hope I said that in the right order!!😂) 👍🏻 it’s great to get away with the lads every now and then and I’m sure it’s good for the wives to do same! Which reminds me, My wife left me because she said I “never put the toilet seat down.” To be fair, I'm not quite sure why I started carrying it around with me……..
Cheers to good beers we just subscribed after your video found us . We are home brewers that love to brew beer grow some hops, make different meads and wines and others on our channel . Stay thirsty and drink good beer .
Brilliant absolutely loved that vid…what a way to see the world at 3rpm…old peculiar too..one of me favourite ales 🍺…love it…keep em coming slurpy…oh did Duggie find his duds ? 🤔
Nice update and I hope that you had a good time. I've done a bit of walking down the tow path of the Lancaster canal but not too much as we live closer to the Leads Liverpool canal (we hired a barge on there for a day trip for my 40th). Boltmaker, nice had it recently in The Dressers, not far from Top Lock, about 5 min walk. Loving the dad jokes 🤣. Old peculiar, used to love that on draught, didn't love me after a Tuesday School night though 🥴 🤣. New computer as the old one was on it's knees so struggling a little with video editors at the mo and I've had a week kaput with the lurgy, hopefully things will pick up soon. Stay safe and well, SIR, cheers, Schnuz.
Glad u had a day on the barge...Good to experience it. Didn't realise u live up that part of the country. Never been on the leeds liverpool canal. Hope u back to normal soon pal👍👏😊
There's an Holts pub in Bury called Bluebell as well😀 I've done slot of holts pub but don't think I've been to the one in Moston. Charley are u the same Kingfisher on Trevs last night. Just realised now👍
@@SlurpyDave254 Yes Im Kingfisher,That name always comes up on Live Streams chat and SilverBirch on recorded vlogs, dont no why, need my son to come over and sort it
@SilverBirch007 well when u started talking about Holts mild it had me thinking 🤔..I need to do a review of that beer next time I'm in Manc land..cheers mate👍
These are my favorite videos that you do. So what are the differences between the Bluebell and the boat you went on last year? I know the one last year is bigger but what does it have that this one does not? How far down the Lancaster Canal did you go? Which trip was better? Cheers Dave, Dougie, and Keith!
The boat last year was twice as long (65ft) which slept 6 people. This Lancaster Canal is perfect for novices. 2 hours travelling on a canal boat can be done in about 10/15 minutes in a car😃. Both great trips, cheers lads👍🍺
Love it . Great watch on my dark work travels . 😊
We keep talking about going on a boat trip .
Cheers Dave . Have a great day 👍🏻😊
Everybody should do a canal trip at least once in their life. Great fun. Cheers Speno🍺👍
Nice one Dave, Dougie and Keith 🍺🍻 great video, scenery and beers and that Theakston OP is outstanding, nice one lads 🍺🍻

Yes it's a classic especially on the old cask, cheers Andy👍
Looks lovely and to tell the truth I also really enjoy the relaxing tunes during the filming.

Smashing time on the canal TK, lots of pubs..thanks for tuning in mate🍺👍😊
Great Video once again. At the end, was Dougie looking for the whole at the bottom of his glass? Couldn't believe that he took a nap at the pub. 😆

That looks like a fun adventure! Do you gentlemen sleep on the boat?
Yes there is one fixed double bed and a makeshift 2 single beds as well. All tucked in after a few pints with a wood burning stove..its ace😊👍🍺
