You don't know much about anything. Makes no sense why idiots feel compelled to document their ignorance.

"I know that I know nothing" (I’ll save you a Google search, it’s called the Socratic paradox-attributed to Socrates but never actually stated by him).
We’re all ignorant to some extent, nobody knows everything.

Funny thing you felt compelled to watch the "idiot" reaction video, or at least leave an asinine comment. So who is the "Idiot ? Maybe the idiot watching the person just reacting honestly to good music.

Definitely listen to Inside looking out. The live version on some show is long but is fantastic. It was done before the keyboardist (Craig Frost) joined the band, so they were a trio. Fantastic sound

The Beatles sold out Shea Stadium in six weeks for their 1970 show. Grand Funk Railroad sold it out in 72 hours! Peter Frampton and Humble Pie opened up for them. Over 55,000 people shook that stadium - home of the Mets!
THE American band! Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induct them NOW! It's long overdue! And they're still doing it in 2023. That's why they are THE American band!

    D. Mont, thank you for doing that reaction. I love this band and there are many gems in their work. The drummer Don Brewer sang lead here awesome voice, but the guitarist Mark Farner sings 99% of their work, you've got to hear him sing for sure. Much love!

Sold out Shea stadium faster than the Beatles. Got to see them in the 1990s, still doing it. They had some major issues with managers, finances, band imploding etc. One of my main go-to groups in the 70s. Mark (long hair) has Native American roots so he paid tribute to that in his life and lifestyle.

This was Jimmy Carter's America after the civil turmoil and wars of the 1960's, after Watergate and Nxon's resignation, before the Iranian hostage crisis; before trickle down economics, before the Persian Gulf War; before 9/11 and the ensuing wars, before Obama, before Trump and before the utter chaos and demoralization of today. I love the video of the Grand Funk band embracing the glory of their youth and having a hell of a good time. The band was formed in Flint, Michigan 1969. In Michigan you could work at Ford, GM or Delphi and afford to buy a cottage on the lake and raise your family and give your children a good life. You didn't have to be a Kardashian or Elon Musk to just have a good life. If you had a Ford or GM pension you were set for life.

True story. I grew up with a guy named Karl Propst. Awesome guy, very talented family. He passed away about a year ago,but he was an awesome key board player. He toured with Mark Farner, on his world tour somewhere around 2008. On that tour he sings American Band. You can view it on UA-cam in Russia, and Chile. The last time I saw him, they played the fish festival in Destin,Florida. Thanks for the memory. Capt.Bob, SV (Sailing Vessel) 27th Chance, Tampa Fl.

Grand Funk is from Flint Michigan which is about 40-50 miles north of Detroit. There is a railroad that runs through michigan named the grand trunk which the band was named after but they changed trunk to funk. There is a grand trunk viaduct in Flint with the bands name painted on there that has been there since the 70's. I heard this was filmed on one of the band members uncles farm somewhere in michigan. This is kind of more like a home movie rather than a music video. They were part of a wave of southeastern michigan/Detroit rock back in the 70's which included Ted Nugent(the motor city madman), Alice Cooper, Bob Seger, and the MC-5. If Motown music was included the rock n roll hall of fame should have been in Detroit and not Cleveland.

The irony... "we'll come into your town, we'll help you party it down..." I'm from Flint. They were from Flint. They never "came into our town to help us party it down" because a local radio DJ dissed them when they were just starting out. Such a disappointment!
