ye they usually got the exhaust running through the dump body witch I don't know why because you can see it rusting the area were the exhaust runs through
The first back dump I was ever around was an International straight drive with a stack like that. It was old then and that was 40 years ago. I wonder if the cummins wasn't a repower because they used Detroits in everything LeTourneau made, even the first electric jobbies like the B and C pulls. That one had the gas charged shock suspension, not like the Euc spring setup so maybe it's not as old as it looks and the old Farr air cleaners were very popular. A/C used them a lot. Might have to run some numbers.
Very cool. My 1st episode since i subscribed. Grew up in NW Jersey so very familiar with Pa. In fact i raced mid 70s in Lenhartsville place called Moto Mecca MX trak. Be Well n 🚜👍
I've thought about this but the problem is I went so fast in these old videos and they are so shaky. I don't see how I could edit in all the information in such a short amount of time.
@s11m701 Thanks. This is one of my older videos so it's not as good as my newer ones. But it gives you a good look at a great piece of history!
Thank you for the video this truck may be scrapped and gone but thanks to you it will live on forever in the bowels of UA-cam!

Great vid sweet truck!
Still runs? What, using a walker or a cane?
My father worked at LeTourneau in 1959 he probably did some of the welding on this truck.
Even though it says Westinghouse, it's mechanical drive. At the same time Unit Rig was starting to test diesel electric drives.
I think it's an 1150 Cummins
Since it's a Letourneau, that means it was built in Longview, Texas.
I know this is an old video, but would you be able to research and do a voice over with your usual detail...??

I hope she is going to be restored and not going to be cut up for scrap metal. I love Letouneau machines myself
