The Yanagi scoring segment with the textured boil slicing (Katsu?) part was nothing short of art. Another amazing episode. That ink and rice risotto recipe looks like a heck of a dish.

A good egi technique I’ve tried recently is to twitch it by bringing the rod tip towards your feet. Works well when you’re on a structure that is higher than the water level (bridge, pier, break wall, etc.).

The way I catch squid from the rocks . Remove the weight from the jag , set a trace sinker on the bottom loop approx 1.5mt above sinker attach squid jag with about 1 Mt trace this allows squid jag to float 👍 Cheers Wombat 🐾AUS 🦘🦘😊
🌴 hey guys this vid was an unexpected pleasure, that color change on that squid was so cool and it camouflaged itself in that tide pool , those drone shots are amazing, I can’t believe how high it goes, love it ‘ for those viewers watching the technique Taku did with the cross cut on the squid is not easy, it takes a lot of skill so you don’t completely cut through and wreck it 🔪, I’ve tried two or three times 🤣, is coastal foraging there ? Little sis is a sweetie, great vid as always 👊🏼✌🏼
