BTW this video is Maxor's old video, so the information he and others had provided is actually opposite of what is considered overpowered now. In his new video he specifies that powercreep does not exist because of Bennet, but in this video he makes it seem like its the worst character.

The second one barely has any spoilers beyond the things you've seen in the version trailers, so it's safe-ish to watch, but it's totally understandable if you want to put off watching it until you're done with Sumeru.

That's true but things put plainly into words or specific scenes being shown would have way more spoiler potential than the fully out of context and mixed-up nature of the version trailers

I would advice against it, and it is one of my favorite videos of all time but, still. Way too many spoilers for Sumeru(tho barely any for Inazuma)
btw couse i did see you get confused when he talked about dendro, when he posted this video sumeru which is the 4th region was not implemented to the game till quite a while so there were no dendro characters.
Heck, Maxor even says that Inazuma hadn't been released, so yeah.... At that point, we'd seen Baizhu as a dendro user, but there were no playable dendro characters until Sumeru released.
You probably noticed but because this video is pretty old, it only has the first 2 nations in it, while there are 5 of them now. All the jokes about Dendro was because there was no dendro character until 2 years after the game launched. Also beating up Hilichurls becomes sadder and sadder as you learn more about them...
Max0r's second video is even crazier if you can believe it.
But only if you watched first one. Like HALF of jokes are referential to it.
You can really tell this is one of his older videos. And for the unaware, Max0r has basically tripled the editing ever since and completely mastered his voiceover, while also getting better audio. I haven’t watched this since before “Genshin Impact is a Playable Anime” came out. The quality is so drastically different, although I agree with others saying not to watch it until Sumeru, because he does have spoilers for the Archon quest in the video. With absolutely zero context mind, but the scenes themselves happen to be very recognisable.
The man is, in his own words, just “raw dogging life”. He doesn’t need mental illness or drugs or caffeine, he is just built differently. Built directly into his hardware in most people’s minds lol

Ahh, good old Maxx0r, he never dissapoints when it comes to his videos.
He made this one a few months after release and it blew everyone away, he since made a second one wich is even better but this one still makes me smile :)
He once said that editing 5 seconds of a video took him almost 2 hours wich shows u how long it takes him to make one of these.
I love Maxor, the second video is so much better but if you’re not caught up then probably wait until you finish the Sumeru quest, so excited to see you react and hopefully more Maxor in the future.

If you want to do combat on stream, do combat on stream, I know I'll be there, and I know many others will too.
Though I should mention that now that you have Raiden, you won't be able to level her higher than level 40 untill you get to the start of the Inazuma story, and I'd very much like to see you play through the story, for the exact same reasons as I'd want you to watch an anime
He might have been correct about the voice acting back then, But ever since it got really good. Imo from Inazuma onwards it got really good and the story is better from that point on aswell.
IMHO ofc:
1. Do not watch the new version of his review, it's contain BIG spoilers.
2. It is fun but newbie review, and also maded years ago.
3. English fixed, and really good in terms of acting, sometimes even better than others.
4. Most of the community watch Genshin content because of archon quests, wich most of the time made only of dialogs, cutscenes and final boss battles. That's why chat acts like that, when u just not do it or skip.
Xianyan and Ga ming character trailers and teaser are now out because of the new verison release I suggest checking those out next week.
Also even though many are saying to watch max0r's 2nd genshin video i'd advise against it, because there are spoilers for both sumeru and inazuma main story within it, even if you don't pay attention to the dialouge of the video there are cutscenes shown during the video which could potentially spoiler the story.
When you are done with the Sumeru quest, you definetly need to watch Max0r's new video on genshin impact. His editing has really leveled up (and by that i mean it's absolute crazy. Like jesus christ, it's brainoverload)

I'm always on the lookout for new Max0r reactions, and the fact that its YOU reacting to him makes it all thr better. Yeah, his editing is insane, and its only gotten crazier over the years. This is, honestly, one of his more tame videos, and the next Genshin video he makes is arguably even crazier. It technically is a bit spoilery, but not too much. Check out his other videos some time as well. His Metal Gear Rising and Elden Ring vids are my personal favorites.
Congratulations with passing an another milestone for reaction channels - Max0r videos. His style of high-intensity humour is not for everyone, but it makes his videos very re-watchable. If you want to go down this particular rabbithole, I would recommend his first 2 Elden ring videos, Resident Evil 4 video and 2 Devil May Cry videos.
Maxor’s videos are amazing, the editing is so chaotic and yet, you completely understand it.

The second one is even better, but also even faster and EVEN MORE overedited (which I enjoy but hard to fully understand first time lmao). It is spoiler heavy though so I get why not to do it yet. Finish Sumeru first.
His review for _DOOM Eternal_ is also pretty crazy. Max0r is special.
There's only one way to handle a Max0r review, to quote FuwaMoco, is "don't think, just jam."
Dont worry if you havent gotten to it yet. Inazuma is one of the most hated archon quests because it doesnt fuck around and gets right to the point with only minimal dialogue.
Fontaine similarly does this but makes all the story doalogue actually worth listening to so you arent spending fifty hours fetch questing, so god can perform the art of tax evasion and not even tell you anything useful after the fact.
If i had to rank the main story segments so far mondstadt is ground level, liyue inverts into the planet, inazuma is actually close to peak, sumeru is at the peak until the post archon quest where you take a tumble all the way to the bottom and Fontaine launches your corpse into fucking space like you fought a skyrim giant.

I would suggest you looking also at the second "Incorrect Summary" of Genshin Impact made by Max0r, called "Genshin Impact is a Playable Anime" IIRC.

Its true, the dialog can be excessive. If you ever do stream it again, i think its fine to tell people to kiss your bumm about dialog skipping.
Because it is certainly mind numbing at times. Its easy to read the text before they finish speaking.

Welcome to the Wonderful World of Max0r! After some consideration, I agree that you should wait on the second Genshin video. I would recomend Max0r's DOOM Eternal or Devil May Cry reviews next, hold off on his Elden Ring reviews until you are ready, and for GOD's SAKE don't try the Ultrakill reviews until you are "ready". They are hilarious, but they WILL hurt you. You have been warned.
He says the English VAs are bad, while there might be bad voice directions early on, most of them are okay. And they have definitely gotten a lot better, especially since Sumeru. Japanese VAs are nice because you might recognize some of them from Anime, Japan has a pretty developed VA industry with a lot of good talent. Its sometimes interesting to go back and see the same scenes with different languages, sometimes the english VAs will be really extra, but other times the japanese ones will be extra. Ive heard good things about the Chinese and Korean too.
I still can't believe we got 3 pulls for the 3rd anniversary, that's 3 more pulls than Genshin players deserve!
Genshin is a story game with special combat, not a combat game with story. You’re gonna have to read some manner of text to enjoy the game, otherwise you’re missing out on most of the content.

understand your pain in Genshin. I ultimately quit because of it and picked up Honkai Impact 3rd instead. There, meaningful dialogs and actions goes hand in hand on just about every stage. It even have 4 mini-open world stages for exploration so far.
Also the funny thing is that the last character I picked up in Genshin was Raiden Shogun which was highlight of Genshin for me and I quit before I even build her.

man, if you don't get attached to the genshin lore, watch ashkai's videos, she makes some guides to the lore of each region with the information that we know until today, and she gather a lot of information and theories about the game, her content is amazing at lore
about team, if you are building the best team for raiden, it is probably national raiden with bennet, xingqiu and xiangling ... it is until today the best cheap team that you can build, it is really good at all
explaining about the "dendro god is special" when the game launch we didn't have any characters or reactions with dendro ... this came most of 2 years later with sumeru's releease in 3.0

Also, you I highly highly recommend watching the second part. Not only is it more edited, but somehow Max0r got even more crazy. It is an experience! (Unless you want to avoid Sumeru spoilers, then maybe not yet.)

I love Genshin, it's definitely my comfort game and I love so many things about it like the combat, exploration, character design, etc. but the game has a lot of unnecessary fluff. Don't force yourself to sit through dialogue that you don't enjoy. It's ok to skip. It's not like Paimon isn't going to refresh your memory on some important parts (or less important parts) 20 times anyway

Honestly, I wish you could just select the language spoken by individual player characters on top of picking one language for the larger, overarching world. Cuz English Zhongli is impeccable.
The dialogue is a little undercooked in early game(especially in EN dub) as max0r stated but it wasn't that lengthy in my honest opinion. If you think the dialogue is a chore to get through now, just wait till you get to sumeru and fontaine lol.
Honestly by the time you start doing the quests that will be spoiled by the second video, you will probably already forget the spoilers. I would HEAVILY recommend the second video, its even better in my opinion.

As others have said this episode is a little dated because it came out before Inazuma and even before Dendro was added to the game. Its kinda crazy how much the game has changed.

Maxor makes some funny stuff but he is always EXTREMELY fast with jokes.
Yeah the quests are what keeping me from coming back. I stopped at the release of scara's weekly boss and so I will assume there will be tons of quest and a whole line of uninteresting dump of texts just to proceed. I still dont think its wise to come back now lol. specially the 3 fowl joke has become 3 fates reality.
It's fair, though in retrospect it feels to me like the first two chapters of the main story are a little deceptive - you're not picking up on some things that are there throughout because they look perfectly natural to an outsider. You can't see what about Monstadt doesn't fit in because you don't have another nation to compare it with; you don't realize the basic aspects of Liyue history that make no sense because without realizing what's exceptional about this world it all looks fine, and despite Aether and Lumine being very intelligent your character hasn't seen enough to be asking any of the right questions this early. (And you start out meeting the two archons who are least inclined to volunteer very important pieces of the puzzle to anybody who hasn't proven need to know by asking the right questions. This is less a deep secret than something basic it's been repeatedly proven cannot be safely told to a large segment of the population, and it's hard to know who they are ahead of time.)
In any event, daily commissions and resin provide a lot of opportunities for violence. Just go at your own pace... and while I don't believe in hard spoilers once your get into the fourth nation you may want to ask your chat to warn you if the story is about to isolate you from regular gameplay and combat for a couple of hours at once. It doesn't happen often, but you can eventually get yourself into situations that even the teleportation network and Paimon's influence over your personal timeline won't let you easily escape.

As an AR 59 Genshin player, I can assure you that you don’t need to use the traveler. It’s mostly for story immersion.

Genshin needs a skip button or speed mode for people who aren't into it... or if someone makes a second account. It does need more combat. You can watch a youtube video summarizing the lore. I'm worried what zajef says might be true... that they just won't add enough to the game because they want to make you play their other games. I hope it's not.

The english voices only had issues in the beginning of the game. The quality ramped up after and I wouldn't now change it to JP, KR or CN. Sumeru and Fontaine English VA are top level.

If you liked this, you'll love the rest of Max0rs videos. His Elden Ring and Metal Gear Sold videos are particulary amazing; of course, his 2nd Genshin video is also better than this one.
yeah.. the combat is its biggest strenght that will become the biggest weakness after you play it for like 3 years straight.. :DD i guess thats more or less my fault.. but still..
Watching the new Maxor Genshin Video will Spoil you a bit on the story of Sumeru specifically, not really Inazuma, but it might make you motivated to continue the main story more at the same time. It is up to you. The spoilers won't ruin anything but it still takes away a bit from the experience.

"combat is the best part of the game" - except theres literally only one place in the entire game where you can challenge your combat power.
The game feels more like a visual novel with open world disguised as an action rpg
The story will have way more and better cutscenes later on, You really aren't that far from the story getting way better paced and the dialouge in Sumeru and Fontaine barely has any unimportant dialouge, things mentioned always come back.
If he couldn't follow this one, there's no way he'll be able to understand the second one o.o (although it's subbed so maybe it's actually easier)

I do not know if you will see my comment, but I want to say that it is best not to read the dialogues for so long if you do not like it. When you get tired, just stop, try to explore the map, or go down into the spiral abyss. When you get tired of dialogue, you spoil the mood for yourself and others, so wouldn't it be better to just relax and do something else?
15:15 Yeah, that's Genshin for you. The best part is the combat but the game will insist on locking you in 3+ hour dialogue segments. Don't ever listen to people who try and convince you the story is the best part. It's not. It's just the part they focus on the most.

Well personally I want that as many people would experience it, but not at the cost of it's story.

Traveller isn't a good character, the element is. If you need Dendro, Traveller is good. If it doesn't (like raiden national) then no need for traveller

But yeah, Genshin quests, are usually dialogue focused, unless it's a boss fight, and it can be pretty verbose at times. I get why people complain about it - even though I love, Love, LOVE the story.
If you're having most fun with the combat, be sure to keep a lookout for the combat events each time you play, as they often play around with combat mechanics and let you try out different characters outside of the normal trial periods.
