I fully agree. As a writer, I do receive toxic comments telling me my facts are wrong, want me to change the whole storyline. Most of the time i just acknowledge and say if this story isn't for you just find a another story. I love to read comments for my story as they help me improve.
Never change your own story based on someone elses wishes A lot of mangaka's suffer from this Just write the story as you want if someone doesnt like it thats normal not everyone will have the same taste You ofcourse will take criticisms and based on them will improve in your next story
Apparently Dawei is politician atm and manipulated people here in this speech according to experts. He told a cry me a river story that everyone understands to manipulate people to feel sorry for them. Also Genshin's director David Jiang was not present here which was strange. Don't trust anyone (also UD, he showed his egoist colors during HSR Geforce Now fiasco) . They all want to make money on you in the end.

I don't think Da Wei expected genshin to get as big as it did. I completely understand not wanting to take big risks when it comes to an IP this massive, especially since the only thing hoyo had to fall back on back then was HI3. Now that they have more big IP's, I think they've gotten more confident with themselves and their products I'm genuinely excited to see how genshin, hsr and zzz develops in the future
For those of you who don’t know, there has been a TON of hate directed towards Genshin since WuWa released in the CN community. Bots have been roaming everywhere, stacking up a 600k thread in the CN hoyolab app, disturbing not only the 5.0 livestream, but also the comments section and danmaku of Genshin offices videos, livestream and clips of streamers playing the game, and even fan arts and videos. The vast majority of these bot comments focus on spreading the rumor that wanderer NTRs the traveler by snatching Nilou, claiming that this is what happened in the plot of 4.8, and pretending to be actual players whom have quit the game because of this plot. These are also other comments, such as hate for Wanderer himself, the way Nilou is “disgusted” by having to give us a lap pillow, and just hating on the game in general, saying that the quality of the game is trash. These types of hateful comments and rumors made up about the plot have been circulating since the very day Genshin was released, and hit its peak in these past few months. Evidently spreading hate for Genshin has become a sort of business, a quick way to earn some cash by just bot spamming these messages everywhere. And since the Genshin CN player base is so vast and mostly composed of people who work, it is hard to for the community to gather and fight back. Hey, look, I’m not saying that Genshin is a perfect game, and players have every right to provide the devs with suggestions on how to make the game better. But spreading false rumors about the plot and causing drama using that, and spreading hate for the game, whether you are a player, or not, is just unacceptable, because it is now effecting the community greatly. I feel like we also need to give them credit, a lot of credit, for what they have done right, which is many things.
I feel so bad recently by just watching the comments around livestream and teasers video... and honestly I don't want to look at CN community anymore, but that's just me, and I know Da Wei and his colleagues have to and must hear and figure out all the voices in the community - which is truly sad.
I think it's fine to have constructive criticism. Hell, even negative one is fine too cuz at the end of the day that is your own opinion to the thing. Problem is that.. Some people who are being negative toward the game, sometime also being negative to the people who like that thing too. Idk why these people just like to spread the negativity like this? Talk from experience, There are countless of times where I just got shut down every time I want to express my love for this game to the point where it just tough to express my love to the game and it also tainted my view, it just make me feel wrong to like the game. That was a lot of ranting. Anyway, great discussion I love it! I hope you have a great time and hope that you will have a great time with Natlan! (So sorry for bad english. I'm terrible at it. 👍)
I would like to use the example of genshin like a chinese food restaurant, players is the customer We come here to have chinese food, if the food are not suitable for you, then just complaint to the chef of the restaurant side, leave the restaurant & go find another restaurant now all those hater like the customer not satisfied about the food & choose to stay in restaurant & ask all others customer not to continue eating, there even go accumulate outside of the restaurant & told everyone they meet how bad the restaurant is & start bully all the customer that still wanna eat at the restaurant is it really makesense????
People who think they are better for preferring one anime gambling simulator over another or think everyone who plays their least favourite game is not allowed to have fun need serious help.
I think a lot of people underestimate the time with developing stuff to be "perfect" the way you want. Especially with creative stuff. You start with an idea. You and your team designed and thought, yea that looks good. Then you start developing and have a prototype. Then on a first try you notice a lot of flaws and note down changes and tuning. So far this takes 8 weeks Then you made the improvements, then test again, then more improvements. This can go on for another 4~8 weeks. At this point, you might realize - The foundation is not good, so it's not "good enough" regardless of how many improvements made. You have to go back to the beginning and redesign or scrap the idea entirely. So either you push on and release a feature/product that you personally aren't fully satisfied with, or just scrap the thing and setback progress by 1~4 months.
Oh they absolutely do. Non-creatives ALWAYS act like they know infinitely better about the creative process than the people who actually create things. Can't even begin to tell you how many times I've been told by people that my music isnt "creative" or that it's "lazy" when I poured 60+ hours a week into making it, producing it myself, and mixing it. It's why I never take people like that seriously cause they're just being armchair creators and don't know a single thing about the process whatsoever.
i mean if u and ur team have BILLION of dollars, u'd have a lot different resources to work with. Hell even if u want u can scrap entire thing and build it from ground up however u want it to be. Saying it costs time? Sure, but it costs more time to develop some features that ur other products have in 1.2 while u still don't in 4.0 is a bit much ? They just "improve" when there's competition in the market which REALLY affect their bottom line. It's just too funny to me when people feel sorry for a BILLION DOLLAR company.
@@minhtinh1211 The parts about improvements, to me as a software engineer at least, is a clear problem/difficulty with the foundation technical architecture. Changing something that already exists is much more complicated and has much more devastating consequences than something in production. That's why I never felt a problem with HSR having features at launch, or early in the game, that Genshin still doesn't - Because I was on the development side for a very large (also billion dollar) product before and there are issues I know that no amount of money can speed up or solve. All that is to say, personally I can understand the problems faced by Genshin, at least on the technical and design level, and why it feels so "slow". That's just me being empathetic to people (developers) who are imaginably in the same scenario.
Just went to check out tectones reaction too, but i couldnt finish it and just decided to look at the comments... all i can say is what a contrast between his comment section and your comment section lol.
the community is the content creators reflection - tectone allowed hatred, bitterness and negativity to thrive and now it's all that exists in his community

ngl i'm glad i still see ur content UD. Now i have decided to use social media very less and just focus on liking the things i like instead of seeing the constant complaining.
This is honestly the reason why i still like series/games/movies with problematic fandoms, i like shows like BNHA because of the story, the characters, the relationships (NOT SHIPS) not because of them so why should they bother my enjoyment? 🤷♀️
Yeah, I'm a huge fan of Mihoyo, and I don't care what other people say about them. Honestly, I don't think they owe me anything, I don't care if they gave me 10 pulls, 20 pulls, or 0 pulls; I'm always willing to pay for the content I love. Yes, its been slow for the last few patches, and hence I haven't spent any money on Genshin other than the Welkins. You pay for good content you like, and when they are not doing it, you don't pay for them, period. But still, DaWeiGe doesn't owe me anything. I have other games to play; I can do HSR, ZZZ, or I can go play WuWa and LOL while only going on Genshin for my daily. And when Genshin is ready, I will be back full-time on Genshin. Isn't that how games are supposed to work? I don't understand how people have so much time just go online and throw negativity on a game they don't even enjoy. Why waste your time? Normally, when I don't enjoy a game, I just delete it and move on. I have so much stuff going on in life that I don't have time to battle with people over something I don't even like. It baffles me sometimes how people spend so much time arguing online with someone who's trying to enjoy a game they don't enjoy. Is it that important to them? I really want to know, like, are you dying because they liked Genshin? What is wrong with people nowadays. It's crazy. PS. I do my surveys every time, and I will always give them criticism on the parts they need to imporve, and I point out specific parts that I think needs work. I am an artist and I know constructive critism is how anyone improves, but leaving " GENSHIN SUCKS", just like comments we artists get " YOUR ART SUCKS" does NOT help anything in anyway.
Which is insane, because video games are just another form of art, same as films and drawings/paintings. Everyone scolds someone whenever they make some comment like "nice art, but I like this better/more", but for some reason, when it comes to this game, that rule goes out the top floor window of a 10 story apartment building.
I mean how many times can you see a boss from a big company cry because of harsh comments. I hope those comments are reasonable. It's just a game and don't be too serious tho. They are not even like those companies that have taken ppls life but still don't admit they are doing wrong. Still, forever Mihoyo fan boy.
i mean he already did the crying thing for Hi3 once upon a time ago... If he can shed few tears and still earns billion of dollars, i'd get up on stage and full on blast a mourning like my whole family is dying for viewers
Honestly always appreciate your approach UD, you are able to constructively criticize in a thoughtful way, while also appreciate what is good about things.
I really appreciate you listened to both the critiques and me give compliments, people hear one and assume I’m not giving the other. Super nice to know some of yall hear the entire take ☺️
I don't know why Mihoyo community keep on fighting each other and so Divided, it is so unbelievable. They forgot that both are made by the same company. I wanna say something about the whole Mihoyo community but YT won't allow it. At the end of the day, nothing will change since Mihoyo community just LOVE PVP outside of the game. Purely closeminded people and nothing will change since I already witness a lot ( I mean a lot) of people laughing at Da Wei after this like it was a performance. I had a lot to say with this community but eh not worth it, I'll just play games that I found fun without caring to Mihoyo community. They know what they're doing. And a lot of em are adults anyway.
That's why Jesus said "even if they will see, they still won't believe" Exactly applies to those people. You can cry all you want, their hearts will remain dead and unfeeling.
A certain bald streamer comes to mind when “dividing” the community. Hiding under the mask of “constructive criticism” when its actually just hate watching/following
@@dittoford Besides him, other CCs also had influence, its also social media and the game itself for dividing the community as much as it dead. Honestly genshin specifically is the only gacha community thats as seperated as it is part of that is cause of how many do players it has but its baffling.

Respect for Dawei🫡✨ I don't know if there is some kind of internal issue in the Dev Team that makes Genshin feel "arrogant". I mean, you can see there are many features/rewards/or other things that players want, but they don't appear in Genshin but in other Hoyos games like HSR and ZZZ. At this point, I have thoughts like "What's wrong with Genshin?" Dawei as the CEO really knows the problem, but maybe he still thinks that it will solve itself. But at this time, maybe he can't wait any longer and made a decision to solve the problem directly. So yeah, respect for Dawei. I want to come back to Genshin but I decided to leave it since 4.4, and now move to ZZZ. But I hope Genshin will be better from 5.0 until the end
I thought it's some kind of a known issue now that the previous head of the Genshin dev team has been replaced by Da Wei himself. The previous head of Genshin was definitely to blame why it took 4 years for them to change something. I've also read that that same person was, at some point in the past, the head of Honkai Impact 3, and it was bad as well for HI3 until he was replaced as well and HI3 became better.
@@hikari9262You mean the Cai houyu guy? Thank god he left genshin now, that's why the rewards are much better now other than the fact that the other reason may be because of the game "competitor" that genshin have now
@@alexadcv8605 I also heard about Cai Houyu in the community. I think Da Wei also found it difficult to deal with the problem, because that person is also important to Hoyo. However, Da Wei can't wait for that person😅 And maybe this is also the reason why it took so long to bring Genshin back to the path Da Wei wanted. Because after that person left, maybe Da Wei also had other problems like "How to get the people on the Genshin team back together and in line with the vision he wanted". That's why Genshin took that long to get back on track. The challenge for Genshin now is how to stay consistent and improve in the future. Also thank you to Genshin "competitor", I know what do you mean haha😅

I also hope we can hear the news about the genshin anime, when will it released. But knowing that ufotable will be busy for upcoming movies for Demon Slayer. @@alexadcv8605 That could be one reason, but WuWa is just new. These changes couldn't have been developed in just the past 2 months. I was there in the Genshin Fes when Dawei saying all these...I've complained abt the game but still his words moved me that I started sobbing, so did a lot of travelers around. Yup the game is far from perfect but I believe they will gradually improve..
only took them 4 years, billion of dollars to improve the game and a few tears from the CEO to gain the empathy from players back am i right? If only they had time and money to do this earlier, now i also feel sowwe for them.

it because alot of idiot saying "dev don't listen" and "genshin could never" without realising genshin is a far more expensive game to produce. as someone who work in an indie game company and build an engine on unity, I understand the complexity of what they created. every year, they add a new system into it, every system added introduce more complexity. to be honest, i didn't even think they could implement underwater mid game, because developing something into an existing engine is alot harder than just making a new one.
Not only that, but another huge misconception is that you can just throw money at a problem and solve it. People expect Hoyoverse to just hire double the amount of people because they are a multi million dollar company at this point, so in their eyes they have no excuse. This completely ignores the fact that hiring new people will slow down the development in the short term before you can even think about having the new people operate at a 100%. This effect even occurs in jobs with way simpler tasks, but some fans are just delusional and most of them probably never were in the position to hire other people, so they never experienced that it's not a simple fix or that increasing the team (especially in a creative setting) can even create a bunch of new problems.
I think we all know and understand where most of this is coming from an my two cents on it is this. There are times where it feels like sending feedback to the Genshin team is just throwing paper airplanes into the ocean. Lots of people aren't careful about how they word it or are too emotionally charged to control themselves at the time of writing their feedback but there are people reading them who, surprise surprise, aren't emotionless robots that take everything as nothing but pure data while ignoring the hurtful words. NOW, does Genshin deserve critical feedback? Yes. There are many issues that still exist in the game that haven't been properly addressed yet and the voices of the community that are saying they feel like they're being ignored are vaild. While it is understandable that as a company and a team Hoyo can't have 100% transparency 100% of the time it does feel frustrating when they say they're "listening to feedback" constantly in the livestream and it feels like a "sure haha if you think so" rather than a "I believe them" HOWEVER no matter how frustrated you get you shouldn't resort to name calling, backhanded remarks, AND ESPECIALLY THREATS TO SOMEONES SAFETY OR WELLNESS to get your opinions across. Change can be enacted in empathetic yet stern voices. It's not only the war cries of wrath and indignation that can drive mountains across the world. (If anything making someone view you negatively can make your cause seem less valid in the court of public opinion)
Idk as much as I feel like they don’t listen quick enough to the community feedback. I update Genshin every patch since day 1 on my mobile and never had any problems. Some gachas update their patches and they immediately crash and apologize profusely with free pulls for releasing a game that’s borderline unplayable. I feel like they do their play testing well. I’ve been willing to be patient with QoL as long I’m able to continue playing the game without launch issues. Genshin could be better absolutely but i don’t think it was ever bad whenever I decided to start playing.
There're many type of players in hoyo games, but Im the part of the casual but lore-loving ones. So, story, characters and exploration plays a huge part in letting me enjoying the game. I've been in Genshin since early patch and we saw many disagreements, weak concepts, arguments in the community for sure, but at the same time, I noticed and realised Hoyo does listen to the community and there are QOL improvements in a slow but steady manner. Some things we complained back then were regarding character interactions in events (eg. 1.3 lantern rite, how the miniquests were mainly NPC-based) but now look how hoyo combines regional characters together. Character designs were a bit lacking once. I remembered Hoyo asked for feedback in early patches about them, and I commented they would seem nicer if there were more accessories, fluffy hair and symbolic items. Now, it's more prominent as soon as went to Sumeru. Minigames were getting more variety too. Remember how world quests in early Liyue were scarce? The world quests became more darker, connected and amazing after Inazuma drops. It's getting more amazing until the recent Narsizzenkreuz and Remuria quests. As a lore player myself, you can't imagine how heavily detailed each items and the overworld lore is, that's why the lore community is so thriving till' now. Ofc, gameplay wise there're still problems, because it targets a different audience. But in my perspective as an RPG story-lover player, Hoyo listens to the community. Only that it takes time for them to address and fix the issues over the years. Some people complained out of necessity and love for the game, and I respect reading their constructive criticisms. But do remember that there are those minorities who are just too vocal complaining just for the fun of it and following the hate trend to the game. Kinda immature just to obtain views and attention. Pretty nasty really.. Most players that actually love Hoyogames are the ones keeping a low profile on social media, artists, buying merch, attend offline events and give proper feedback to the games.
Yeah probably hoyo got an internal problem with how they managing genshin cuz dawei said he and genshin team feel "confused" but now they on the right track and trying to improve with dawei managing genshin and probably back then the people in hoyo wants genshin to take this path like hsr and zzz but got conflicted with cai haoyu managment n things. I barely interact with the community and I'm the happiest genshin/hsr/wuwa player ever, I play the characters I like, the way I want without worrying about other people opinions, I've enjoyed Genshin since release and there's no reason to hate the game imo, game never crashes, the graphics are gorgeous, the story it's decent, unlike other gacha games, that just focus on money grabbing, I'm a very casual player too because I only play games after a day off from work, only paid for welkin when I feel like spending money, primogems never been an issue, I have all the characters I want some with multiple cons because of re runs, never cared about meta tho, every time I see some drama about the game, moments later I realize how hollow those people's lives must be to care so much about game rewards when some day all of these pixels will be gone, and nothing be left, you don't have to spend money or be the best player to enjoy a game, you can play multiple games too without being a dicc to other players,(cofwuwacof) anyways I'll always appreciate a content creator that doesn't spread hate or cultivate the toxic behavior in the community, that's why I stopped by, thanks for being positive and honest with your opinions 👍
If I had to be honest… I’ve been avoiding any arguments cause I tend to spite any hateful comments about stuff even if I don’t know the full story, I just enjoy what I like and try to avoid seeing what others think cause it can just cause a vicious cycle and downward spiral of hate A lot of stuff comes off as sarcastic to me and I can only think of what people will say in a sarcastic manner, I can void out hate comments but when people get snarky and throw shade, then it gets hard to keep my mouth shut and hands at my side
@UnrealDreamer Help me out! There are some people in the comments tried spreading fake info about Cai Haoyu caused Genshin, and maybe even Honkai Impact 3rd to be “arrogant”, when in reality Dawai is always the lead of management despite having little experience other than becoming chairman of student council back in university, the “stinginess” and “arrogant” are actually Dawai being inexperienced. Also, Honkai Impact 3rd is an old gen PvP game unlike Genshin, that’s why it uses a very outdated business system that would make people see it as stingy today. Please, help me and yourself to cancel those fake info spreading comments.
@UnrealDreamer The Problem in me is that I am on some Platform like HoYolab or Twitter for example and I am checking out some post about Genshin from Official and My beloved CCs (Like You and Bran for example) and the first comment is just pure hate (no criticism) and then second and then third and I am holding on. After getting frustrated I go to some other account checking their posts and comments again are like (Hate) After a While, I get very emotional and I have very angry visceral reaction. And Like this (Hate) is happening for like 1 year now (On like very huge scale) so it becomes very frustrating constantly seeing hate for something I am VERY passionate for. I ask them like If you hate this game so much then Why are you even wasting you energy cause you are not providing any Constructive Criticism and they straight up jump the gun and start to say 'Whiteknight' and like '****rider' etc. This is what I wish I can go away from. Also, I am not sure if its true or not but I heared that Cai Haoyu (Who was previously directing HI3 then he moved to Genshin) is now focusing in some other future Hoyoverse project and Da Wei has stepped up to lead Genshin Impact team since the beginning of Fontaine. So like Even if Genshin team wanted to do anything, They couldn't do ir because of previous director and thats what makes me even more sad for Da Wei and Genshin Team.
Yeah probably hoyo got an internal problem with how they managing genshin cuz dawei said he and genshin team feel "confused" but now they on the right track and trying to improve with dawei managing genshin
All I could say is just enjoy the game at your own pace and ignore them. That was what I did 4 years ago when some people were spamming the 'whiteknight' thingy in the community. Still enjoying the game till now. It's happier that way. I learned that there's no benefit engaging with them and for sure we're not gonna spend our time surrounded by online negativity. No matter how you fight back, they're just gonna retaliate like hypocrites. At the end, the ones that'll be unsatisfied are those who are obsessed complaining for the constant hate and drama nonsense.
Reminds me a lot of the current situation with the Hi3rd global community (at least on Twitter). I see a lot of toxicity towards people who stopped playing after the end of part 1, but it happens exactly because they want more people to love what they love. CONTEXT: Dawei received so much hate because of Genshin even though he was NOT the decision maker. It was Cai Haoyu, the previous guy who held and led the production of Genshin Impact. That guy was the reason why Genshin, and previously Honkai Impact 3rd before the leadership for that game also got handed to someone else, have such stingy rewards. People directed their hate and critiques to Dawei as a person, calling him shitty, unreasonable, selfish, and other hurtful words while he wasn't even in charge of Genshin Impact. Now, the production steer is handed from Cai Haoyu to Dawei. We can hopefully expect good changes from now on. Dawei started to handle Genshin himself around after Fontaine story. They also said they're taking a break so they probably wanted to prioritized their team's mental health first before anything. Btw this video took place in Hi3rd Carnival

I am Happy for Mihoyo dev team and all their games even though i am not playing their game, but i am be honest Mihoyo really good at their music and everything. so i always want to see them success, thank for share your thought mr.UD
Tbh I don’t feel anything about this since it has always felt like Da wei were more passionate towards honkai related projects compared to genshin and this feels like a PR stunt. This is coming from someone who was a day one hoyo fan (guns girls z was my first gacha game btw) and despite the amount of times I’ve taken my time to type out feedback in various player surveys for genshin up untill ver 4.6 it still feels like the devs doesn’t care about the playerbase’s opinions as well as my time because my life has gotten busier compared to back when I started playing genshin (after having gotten into dental college). Unlike before I don’t have the time to sit through needless npc dialogues and them being the focus during my favourite characters’ story quests, the writing is so bad even after 4 years and without a skip button it is truly torture to sit through most of these story quests (except the archon quests being the only times when the story gets good and a few world quests) not to mention going through daily quests is a pain in the arse without that button. Needless to say I’ve quit genshin because of how long it has taken to implement some of the QoL features despite it being 4 yrs since the game’s launch compared to Kurogames devs, who actually listens to the player base and takes their feedback into account both with PGR and WuWa (maybe them being a smaller game company has something to do with this). It feels like they’ve actually responded to some of the feedback I’ve written in their surveys unlike with genshin, really feels like kurogames respects my time more now that my life has gotten busier (also with lad and upcoming infinity Nikki i already have a lot of gacha games I enjoy along with HSR and zzz, so thts another reason I quit genshin). Regardless hope genshin devs gets their shit together and makes the game better for every other players who enjoys the game and actually respond to player feedback from now on, and keep cooking awesome music (hoyo music is legit the saving grace of genshin atp). Hope y’all genshin players win your 50/50s without much hassle and don’t have to experience the stress I went through as an f2p in genshin🤗❤️
honestly, ive been conflicted about the...well its not necessarily negative, but its a very harsh way of saying things about genshin (mostly of the lack of melanin the natlan playable characters have).. i love genshin to the point i dont really mind that fact, but i do understand that culture appropriation isnt something that should be left just as is.. so ive been keeping quite cuz i honestly just at lost and dont know what to think of all this situation.. with how much improvement the 5.0 stream gave, i was kinda hoping people will calm down a bit and let the team do what they can, but some comment on some post ive seen have been saying that the "protestors" have been shut with mere prizes and a free 5 star.. and what made me even more sad is how i saw some say DaWei's tear in this speech is a crocodile tears.. how i saw DaWei in this speech is that even tho he started it very emotional and very heart to heart, at one point, he shifts the mood to be lighter and he even end it with a fun cheer. i really appreciate that of him.. i really hope genshin will be even more enjoyable in the future and i will be able to think that all this, whatever is happening right now, is worth holding on to and believing in. i really appreciate UD's view of this, and saying however people feels of genshin is valid and all of the peoples comments is valid. i came to this video feeling rather emotional and disappointed of people's mean way of conveying their thoughts, but UD's words calmed me down enough that even tho i will still feel rather disappointed, i dont think i will be to mad about it. thank you. i love genshin. i appreciate DaWei so much.
Dawei has just become GI manager for about 1 year and has to fix all the mistakes the previous GI manager made (you knew who but I won't say it) while receiving all the dissatisfaction GI players has pent up for 4 years, it's just too much for anyone, especially for a person who is really passionate about his creations and community. All the mistakes GI made are indeniable and irreversible, but Dawei did nothing to it, if not tried to fix it all. What a pity to him
He left as headmanager of Genshin and gave this position to Michael (guy on the left in livestream , but Da Wei is helping him) Cai Houyi is bussiness man , who absolutely dont know , what playing games is :D , he will still be part of Hoyoverse , because he basically gave funds in 2011 for projects with Da Wei . Cai Hoyui is right now in ZZZ as headmanager . Yeah ..Genshin now , will get HI3d treatment ... but if we want more endgames , what right now they just helped with artifacts modulator in 5.0 , so we can get better stats for characters . Players in Genshin like more whining than playing , so endgame content will be still problematic stuff
@@Ramuid32343 I am a Chinese. Cai Haoyu is the core figure of the whole Hoyo . He is a technical genius. I love that at least.. the subject is being addressed.. I don't complain but genshin seemed more greedy with rewards than other hoyo games.. I LOVE genshin since day one.. but all this years.. man..😢
Now the quality of life is more than enough to start and this guy deserves my R.E.S.P.E.C.T. I felt so validated for all this years of time devotion.. its a marriage sometimes 😅
Wuwa is great competitor alright, not in rivalry sense but because its debut makes talking sh** about hoyo a good business. But bad marketing is still free marketing i guess.
It's nice to see that the competition has brought many good changes in the game, it's not perfect (none is) but a good step towards a better genshin than it is today. I'd also love for them to add the artifact loadout feature, along with the over-cap resin storage. These two features are my main concern and when they get solved I'll be a happy gamer hahahaha Again, this is not a petty comment shitting on genshin, I play it everyday and would love to keep doing so if the game brings good content and more QoL changes in the future!😋
I mean who's the guy that actually responsible for putting genshin to this bad position?, last year dawei cried for the gratitude that a lot of passionate player still play and witness until the end of part 1 of HI3 but this one is different, he may take lead genshin now, but the damage is already too much too handle when he step in, and kinda lost where to fix the situation of the game, maybe thats why the change is slow. If they do make another game i wish they do really find a good person that the company and player can trust, i mean its good that he notice the problem within the game but feel like this one is kind of he apologized for mistake that he didn't do. Just give dawei a break.
Still feeling burnt out myself. Its the very first patch where i cant even forced myself to login to the game since i ever played this game. I did played a couple of events from the summer patch but the burnt out feelings kicking in again and again so i stopped doing dailies in genshin. The reason to all of these is the accumulation of disappointments i had personally towards the game. So right now i decided to just step back for a lil bit from the game. I still keep on following their social media to get a lil sneak peek once in a while. And tbh natlan seem kinda hype ngl. But idk if i wanna keep myself too much into this game anymore. My end goal is to finish the main story line and complete my journey in this game. The rest are just trivials things. I cant give in to the fomo again. Well at least they are still growing again and again. And i do hope that genshin will become better in the future.
At the end, when Da Wei said he wanna shout together with traveller, he doesnt mean "see you all in Natlan", he actually mean "fxxk u Dawei" (its a ritual when all player shout during pulling in Honkai Impact 3rd)
Imo I don't feel bad about criticizing Genshin Impact, it's better THAN ppl that defends the game or tells u to quit the game and there's no in-between. But they literally JUST said both in the livestream and Da Wei himself how they need to start listening to the playerbase cuz we play the game and see potential in the game so we want it to be better. And they can only know what u want and what you're dissatisfied with by saying u don't like this or u want this added in. Constructive criticism is important for any media, I wish ppl would just voice that instead of making it sound like it's mostly a bad thing for "being negative", it doesn't even have to be negative nobody can improve without being criticized.
@@nicolasrocha9429 Yea ik there's ppl that are extreme but there's also ppl that say criticizing the game in GENERAL is not something u should do, so u should "just quit the game instead since they won't give u anything u want"
@@truegodofdestruction That is valid though under certain circumstances. For example if you're criticizing Genshin for it's lack of endgame content, you're better off playing other games because it's not the main focus and therefore less resources will be invested into it.
No hate for DaWei, Honkai Impact 3rd and HSR are really good, but the Genshin team really doesn't know what they are doing, even if they get their act together now, it's been 4 years of not listening, if they do now it's only because the hate has gotten out of hand and there are more gachas coming, it's obvious they don't care about Genshin for any other reason other than the money
Y'all need to stfu and stop dickriding honkai. They fumbled with the finality arc, the powercreep problems STILL exist, they haven't listened to anybody that isnt exactly CN when it comes to improving story aspects, they are struggling to keep the game interesting enough to keep us interested in part 2, etc etc. But go ahead and keep pretending honkai is this golden apple who has done zero wrong and has never done any wrong. Can't fucking stand gacha brainrot people like you dawg.
Well, it is a company, and they need money to keep it running, so the most important part and rn is building the new games coming, while genshin already has his loyal fanbase, but yea, this company are not your friends, so do not expect them to be.
Do i feel bad? Maybe But i wont believe in tears, i believe in actual change Yes its going to a good direction finally after 4 YEARS The anniv rewards still the worse in any gacha game tho If they really listen i wish more change in the future Theres still no skip button, the endgame still boring (ik its only 10% players who play abyss), geo still sucks, yes natlan will make it easier to traverse on open world but when u got back to other region its still sucks, Why cant we make unlimited condensed resin? The talent and weapon mat still separated by diff days I need skin that change effect, not just diff color skill like diluc skin Im a day 1 player and wish the best for genshin But sorry i wont feel bad when they make 100 million monthly, i will believe them when they actually do something
I totally agree, as a player, I believe not in tears, but in actual change. So, just out of curiosity, I would like to know how you feel about the 5.0 changes. I’d like to be careful and say that there is absolutely no sarcasm, just curiosity about the opinion of another player regarding the new changes. However, I’d like to add that if you’re going to talk about the monthly earnings, then we should also think about the frequency at which it pumps out new content, maps and music and other stuff. We don’t see these types of earnings for companies on steam, good and bad ones, because they pump out a game every 2/4 years. But the frequency of Genshin’s updates are every 6 weeks! A huge new patch every year! We should also probably factor in the fact that it is, in an essence, a free game. There are tons of videos of people playing through the game content without pulling at all, so to pay money for this game is purely if you really want to own or just really love a character. Not to say that you should change your mind, and I am sorry if I have worded my comment in a way that offended you, but I believe it is only fair in this way. The maps and music are not cheap, so I think it is only fair to try to consider everything.
@@shuradurakura8310 no worry im not offended, but yeah i understand that paying for server, marketing, music, world building is expensive and the quality they deliver is really good but im pretty sure they got it all covered otherwise they wont be able to fund the nuclear fusion tech or develop new game which mean they have more than enough money to develop genshin As for 5.0 change i alr said its a step in a good direction, easier to travel on natlan, material to choose main and sub for artifact, more reward on archon quest, and they said gonna add harder imaginarium theatre, free standard 5* (altho all of them useless metawise) but hey finally i can get dehya so im good Im glad they make all these changes, and i wish its not only last this update but for future updates too

That's terrible. I understand why it's hard for them to separate the true concerns from the bots
Those toxic people need to touch grass and reflect on themselves.
This is so disgusting actually
So it's not just global, huh???
UD, thank you for spreading positivity. You are always a kind person. And I hope Dawei could see your vid ❤

And when they say negative criticism its more on serious im mad criticism like its not to help the game but just downright harmful

So far this takes 8 weeks
Then you made the improvements, then test again, then more improvements.

Still, forever Mihoyo fan boy.
yup of course imagine you played Genshin for 4 years and all of the best QOLs went to HSR and ZZZ. "LEAVE MY MULTI-BILLION $ COMPANY ALONE"

@@olyabutorina6869 yes exactly. Kinda mind blowing that a lot of people love Division (despite sharing the same room) instead of helping each other.

Respect for Dawei🫡✨
I don't know if there is some kind of internal issue in the Dev Team that makes Genshin feel "arrogant". I mean, you can see there are many features/rewards/or other things that players want, but they don't appear in Genshin but in other Hoyos games like HSR and ZZZ. At this point, I have thoughts like "What's wrong with Genshin?"
Dawei as the CEO really knows the problem, but maybe he still thinks that it will solve itself.
@@MuhammadRaihanPratama-j8b yeah Cai houyu hold more share than Da wei that's probably why he can't intervene about anything that needs to upgrade in genshin. I also hope we can hear the news about the genshin anime, when will it released. But knowing that ufotable will be busy for upcoming movies for Demon Slayer. I don't know if we will get the anime at the end of genshin or during the last arc of genshin, who knows
@@alexadcv8605 That could be one reason, but WuWa is just new. These changes couldn't have been developed in just the past 2 months.
The main reason was laid to us by Da Wei himself, it was the feedback and criticisms that made him go out and meet players around the world, to talk to them about the game.

These are seriously genuine tears, I can tell it.
Genshin could be better absolutely but i don’t think it was ever bad whenever I decided to start playing.
this is what we saw in wuthering waves and everybody praised kuro games but till this day the optimization is still so crap
But in my perspective as an RPG story-lover player,
Hoyo listens to the community.
I really like your content UD and I hope the best of luck to you in future video!!

Dawei is epic
I'd like to see more of what 5.0 is bringing, then I'll believe it. Future looks good though
honestly, ive been conflicted about the...well its not necessarily negative, but its a very harsh way of saying things about genshin (mostly of the lack of melanin the natlan playable characters have).. i love genshin to the point i dont really mind that fact, but i do understand that culture appropriation isnt something that should be left just as is.. so ive been keeping quite cuz i honestly just at lost and dont know what to think of all this situation..
with how much improvement the 5.0 stream gave, i was kinda hoping people will calm down a bit and let the team do what they can, but some comment on some post ive seen have been saying that the "protestors" have been shut with mere prizes and a free 5 star.. and what made me even more sad is how i saw some say DaWei's tear in this speech is a crocodile tears..
how i saw DaWei in this speech is that even tho he started it very emotional and very heart to heart, at one point, he shifts the mood to be lighter and he even end it with a fun cheer. i really appreciate that of him.. i really hope genshin will be even more enjoyable in the future and i will be able to think that all this, whatever is happening right now, is worth holding on to and believing in.
i really appreciate UD's view of this, and saying however people feels of genshin is valid and all of the peoples comments is valid. i came to this video feeling rather emotional and disappointed of people's mean way of conveying their thoughts, but UD's words calmed me down enough that even tho i will still feel rather disappointed, i dont think i will be to mad about it. thank you.
i love genshin. i appreciate DaWei so much.
What a pity to him
Correct me if I’m wrong: cai haoyu left genshin and da wei took over?
I mean, this is a game, not a job. You can rest from it whenever you want 😅
Nobody here is being against criticism the problem is that theres people that have gone too Far. Harassed devs, VAs and even other players.
"They don't know what they're doing" ah there it is. The expert game designer and business analyst PandaStyle07 sharing their infinite knowledge on the matter.
Can't fucking stand gacha brainrot people like you dawg.
Well, it is a company, and they need money to keep it running, so the most important part and rn is building the new games coming, while genshin already has his loyal fanbase, but yea, this company are not your friends, so do not expect them to be.
well took Da Wei 4 years to have such a talk.
I mean this genuinely respectfully, be quiet dawg.
Do i feel bad? Maybe
But i wont believe in tears, i believe in actual change
Yes its going to a good direction finally after 4 YEARS
The anniv rewards still the worse in any gacha game tho
If they really listen i wish more change in the future
Theres still no skip button,
the endgame still boring (ik its only 10% players who play abyss),
geo still sucks,
yes natlan will make it easier to traverse on open world but when u got back to other region its still sucks,
Why cant we make unlimited condensed resin?
The talent and weapon mat still separated by diff days
I need skin that change effect, not just diff color skill like diluc skin
Im a day 1 player and wish the best for genshin
But sorry i wont feel bad when they make 100 million monthly, i will believe them when they actually do something
@@shuradurakura8310 no worry im not offended, but yeah i understand that paying for server, marketing, music, world building is expensive and the quality they deliver is really good but im pretty sure they got it all covered otherwise they wont be able to fund the nuclear fusion tech or develop new game which mean they have more than enough money to develop genshin
As for 5.0 change i alr said its a step in a good direction, easier to travel on natlan, material to choose main and sub for artifact, more reward on archon quest, and they said gonna add harder imaginarium theatre, free standard 5* (altho all of them useless metawise) but hey finally i can get dehya so im good
Im glad they make all these changes, and i wish its not only last this update but for future updates too
> geo still sucks
It's literally fine what are you on about homie . If any element sucks right now it's cryo lmfao
You know why he is crying? Because instead of 6 yachts, he would only be able to afford 4 yachts because of that 1 fate point system. Now, instead of having 20 Ferraris and 19 Lambos, he will only be able to afford 15 Ferraris and 13 Lambos because of that free standard five-star and also the radiance increase luck of obtaining the limited 5 star. Poor Dawei, Let's pray for him. 😕😕😕😕😕
Shut up loser
You don't live under the rock, you're living below earth's crust lol.
Hoyo is swimming with more money after penacony and zzz.
@@Richkero1995 Can you read? I said he is still able to buy 4 yachts, 15 Ferraris, and 13 Lambos coz he has a lot of money because of Hoyocucks like you, haha.
Jealous much 😂
Wtf?
Are u smoking naku weed?
I do understand the toxic comments as i do make things as well. But i can't stop questioning why is all of this happening after kuro released wuthering waves? This should have been 4.0 not after another open world gacha came out that is seen as good.
I mean...... The genshin drama is more than it has ever been too. Natlan is the most hated update in the entire game history. So it made sense that they would have to do atleast something
@@Mayank_MJ"most hated update" by 0,15% off the western fanbase.
@@nicolasrocha9429 ik, it does absolutely nothing. Hell, it's a laughable number by genshin's popularity. But it's still the largest one YET.
@@Mayank_MJ I would argue the patch that had the final inazuma archon quest was the worst. But thats just me.
@@BlazeSwigglePlayzMc honestly? Same. BUT, I'm talking about the hate and cancellation, not the actual patch.
