The asics GT 2000 series has always been the best running shoe. I have the 2000 10 and also still run in the 2000 7. Love both and probably the 7 just a bit more. Sometimes get a hot spot on 10 on longer runs that I don’t get with the 7. I will try the 11 in a few weeks and report back. Been a runner since 6/22/1988.
@@vancejoy3724 The 10’s and 11’s are like two totally different shoes. With the 11’s Asics has moved to a thicker, plusher sole. They feel great and are good for any distance. I do not get any hot spots on my soles like I do with the 10’s. I still alternate wearing each of them as I love them both for different reasons, I just run shorter distances in the 10’s.
God I love mine. Best shoe I've ever had - like running on clouds, and after 8 months (6 with the GT-2000 10, and now 2 with the GT-2000 11), all of my minor niggles and pains have disappeared. I think I'll be a lifer ...
I just bought a pair of these today. I have kayano 29. I put 650 miles in those, and they were incredible. I can't wait to try the gt2000 tomorrow morning.
I did. They were great. Now they're shelved for when it rains. Just got a new pair of gel contend 8. Asics are yet to let me down. The gt2000 and kayano29 are very comparable. The kayano edges them because the material on the upper is more stylish I'd say. Otherwise, they're neck and neck.
Thank you...... What about GT 2000-11 sizing? Example: I am natural size 8.5......... I do great on GT 1000-11 size 9.0 ......but the Cumulus 24 size 9.0 feels too big ( half por even full)
I was planning to get this GT-2000 11 around January but then came the Black Friday... ended ordering the Gel-Kayano 29 instead. I'm a fan of those stability shoes from Asics and I'm having a blast of a time with my Kayano Lite 3 but it doesn't have the Blast middlesole. So I wonder that a comparison bettewn the GT-2000 11 with the Blast middlesole and costing less versus the Kayano Lite 3 that uses a twiked FF middlesole would make another interesting video to watch.
I found the 10s more cloud- or pillow-like than the 11s, but after running in the 11s for a month now, I think they are just as comfortable, and more corrective for my over-pronation. I've had a heel pain for over a year that has now disappeared. YMMV
I ordered this shoes in pure silver colour and its so comfortable but when i ordered the black colour just noticed its a bit different. Feels harder the sole inside. Now ordered 1 same like first to see how feels. Just don't understand how can be different when looks everything same and ordered from same Asics webside. A bit disappointing because i really like the black colour.
The GT 2000 series is in a different league. I have tried the Nimbus series a few times, but they just don’t compare to the 2000’s. Understandably they are just not right for me, but may be perfect for others.
How does the toe box compare to the 10’s? I enjoy the midsole of the 10’s, but did not wear them out as quickly as other shoes, because of the toe box shape, pulling my big toe laterally.
I found it took a week or so, as the 11s felt stiff, especially on the treadmill in the store, but eventually they were just as good if not better. I had no problem with the toe box, like I do with Nike in general.

@@edgabrillo1909 I prefer the 2000 series over the Nimbus series. The Nimbus feel good, and are a little softer. They just have a different fit.

I run in the GT-2000 10's Was looking for the comparison to the new 11's.

I have kayanos but the upper doesn't offer much give like a primeknit or a flynit. How does the cumulus and and gt 2000 compare?

The 9 and 10 were a misstep. I am glad to see they are back on track with stability
