      Destiny: trans middle ground:
I'm trans. I agree that we should conceed on the right's push to ban surgeries for minors. My reasoning is as follows. It's obvious that the right does not have good intentions in mind when imposing these restrictions on other parents who have transkids. Their cheering on hateful acts against the trans community such as the support given to Kid Rock's violent machine gun rage against cases of bud light after Dylan mulvaney was chosen to be a spokesperson, is everything you need to know about how they feel about transpeople. That's aside , the right is using the visual of surgeries to great effect to ban what I consider the more crucial form of gender care and that is the blockers. Their's trickery in their tactics. They focus their rhetoric on the detransitioners with double mastectomy while using slight of hand to sweep the puberty blockers into the same package of restrictions to vote on.
Why do I say the blockers are more important? They are more important because the effects of puberty are irreversible. If you dont get the on blockers at the onset of puberty, there is no turning the clock back whereas the cost of delaying the surgeries till 18 is two years of delay. A transgirl who doesn't get on blockers at the onset of puberty will have to wear her masculine body, ala lia thomas, like a Scarlett letter for the rest of her life no matter how many surgeries she gets, allowing the right to justify a lifetime of burdensome restrictions from bathroom laws to athletics. The anti trans movement gets much leverage with the general public in every argument when they give examples of masculinized trans women. This is a central unspoken tactic they use. They have been very clear that their opinion is that transwomen look like men. The last thing they want is a passing transwoman who's body is normative female who can escape their scorn.
Ultimately, they are leveraging the extremes like lia thomas and surgeries to foster this image of transpeople being evil and delusional to garner support for Michael knowles' "final solution"

I don't mean to be anti Destiny, however whenever he talks about the right it seems like he turns into Jon Stewart in the 90s and 2000s and pretends like Iraq War is still going on, and that all of these things are inherently right wing things, and goes back to 90s and 2000s era talking points when the status quo was much more right wing, and whenever he goes back to being anti left, now he's like modern Destiny who lives in modern reality.
It's like he's simultaneously not left wing and not right wing. But clearly he's not. There are things to criticize the "right" or GOP over, like iraq war, which had no point, but, there are also lots of things to validate and confirm as being correct and truthful.

@noahlistermann789 I mean during Trump's term, the basic American life was good. Economy was good, gas was cheap, jobs were available, overall things were fine. But the issues he had was he was keeping election promises. And for that he was deemed a horrible President. IMO a horrible president is more in line with George W. Bush. When even your own voters deem you as bad, that is bad. Most of Trump's voters did not have a change of heart. Can't say the same for Biden though. I'm pretty sure at least half the Democrats were not happy with him. Get my drift?

@rextheelder7998 You make it sound super simple. We don't propose laws or vote on those laws, we don't sign executive orders; we don't actually vote for president or even party nominees directly, rather depending on the results give or not give delegates or electors who then obligated to support their designated candidate. We don't elect Supreme Court justices.
Once again, democracy is too vague of a word and doesn't accurately describe anything. The constitution emphasizes protecting liberties and limits of government power than it does, giving the people direct democratic power. You call it a democracy because you were spoonfed to call it that. Think for yourself, do your own investigation and research. To call the United States of America a democracy is quite frankly insulting and indicative of poor education. Our founders would be disappointed.

You mean between a person who uses the correct word and an over generalized word. A democracy as a government means direct rule by the people, meaning all laws end up on the ballots. You can call the U.S. a Constitutional Republic, which is how we organize our government or a Representative Democracy, which is how we decide who gets to run the government. The issue with the short hand is barely anyone thinks because we are a Republic, we need to change our government, but a lot idiots think because it's democratic, we need to abolish the electoral college, which means changing our government to match a misunderstanding. That is why people feel the need to correct it. Because the founders literally said mob rule is bad and we need checks and balances. Without the electoral college, the cities would fuck the farmers and there goes to food because morons in the cities take everything for granted. So yeah, it is a good test to see if you are living in reality or a part of the group delusion.

Heres the thing that kills me about this brand of trump supporter.
They say they are not establishment republicans and instead more in line with Trump, but everything (or damn near.. lets say 98%) Trump did was establishment republican legislation.
I dont understand how ppl cannot see right through him and i dont understand how anyone thinks he is touting populist legislation... his rhetoric might be populist for maybe 30% of the republican base, but thats as far as it goes.

    • @GrindOnTime
      @GrindOnTime Рік тому

Sorry not even close. I'll list all the NON-Republican things Trump did: 1) first president in modern history to not start or expand new wars.
      2) He set up opportunity zones for blacks in inner cites. 3) He provided record annual funding to HBCUs (Which was subsequently reduced by Biden). 4) Funded task forces to crack down on child sex trafficking. 5) Signed 4 peace treaties 6) Walked into North Korea with no Security detail. 7) Gave us record low inflation, interest rates, and lowest cost of living/goods. 8) Record low unemployment for minorities. 9) $1.50-$2.00/gallon gas across the country.
Those are just a few things that trump did objectively that other republicans or democrats would have never done. But most people were too busy attacking him to realize how they were benefiting from his policies. We are far worse off now and everyone is significantly poorer cause everything costs more and less safe with rising crime due to bad policy and increased poverty.

"Why can't they see through him".
Republicans look at Democrats who are happy to vote for Biden (unbelievably senile and useless) amongst others like Hilary. You don't really have any ground to stand on judging peoples elected representatives if your party would vote in someone like Joe. Find someone capable and down to earth to provide as an alternative.

I'm pretty sure that this would happen with any radical candidate as they have to cooperate with the establishment if they want to get and keep their power. If Bernie were president, I'm sure that most of his legislation would align with establishment Democrats as well.

And theres something to be said about the attempt and public support.
Having to deal with corruption is one thing, never even attempted your proclaimed ideology is another, which is what we saw with obama, trump and biden

@@georgexander7170 Okay, so I wanted to extend the sentence for comedy, and what I got was "How do I find a father in law that has a daughter who is how I want my daughter to be like?", but I was way too tired to track my own logic, so I consulted chatgpt on the matter, this is what it came up with:
"Don't become a man you wouldn't want your daughter to date, because if you do, she might end up meeting someone just like you, and then you'd have to explain to your future self why you didn't listen to your own advice, causing a paradox that could potentially rupture the space-time continuum and unleash an army of time-traveling granddaughters who will nag you endlessly about your poor life choices while offering unsolicited relationship advice, making your future self question if it was all worth it just to avoid a few awkward conversations with your present-day daughter about her dating preferences."
I am still too tired to track it, but much of that seems pretty eloquent in relation to the whole red pill stuff
