Increased permits are no good when they are full of strings attached and hoops to jump through to get started. So it doesn’t MATTER how many permits they give if the regulations they put in place delay actual drilling for YEARS. They don’t MENTION that!

The other factor is that the oil companies are gun shy. Millions of dollars were spent on the Keystone XL pipeline to get all the approvals and start building it only to have Biden stop it before they can recoup any of that money invested. Are they willing to take a chance and spend millions to develop a new oil field only to have the war in Ukraine end all of a sudden and Biden pull all the permits? I know if I were in the oil business, I would be hesitant to making new developments as long as the Democrats were in charge.
