Hi, looks great, and I think I could cope with most of my rugs at home, although the spinner would be very handy. My problem is I think my rugs would run. I tried to wash the white fringe on a piled red rug, as the rug looks clean with the carpet cleaner and the red ran into it, this was some time ago and the fringe is very dirty now and not sure what to do. I have another woven rug that I tried to spot clean and the colours started to run. I thought it might fit into a large washing machine but I don't want to completely ruin it
You are probably using the wrong cleaning product Different PH strengths, alkali and acidic can fix or loosen dyes, i have a video that shows you how to do a dye bleed test om ,y channel, but to be honest, we never advise cleaning rugs yourself, they are so much more different than actual fitted carpets and so much more (as you have already found out) can go wrong with rugs. Hope this helps
The pumping system was made by us, just powerful submersion pumps, 4 to a tank, one in each corner, they need to be made secure or they will twirl round. hope this helps. The flushing system is another submersion pump attached to a pipe attached to an old carpet wand.
I have a 100% wool rug that has a urine odor on it. It is 5x3 ft oval with fringes that are really dirty. Could I soak this in my bathtub with a little bit of dawn dish soap for a few hours, rinse a few times and then leave out in the sun to dry? Would that ruin it? Please advise me the best way to clean it. Thanks!
Urine odour will not wash out, you need to break down the urine crystals first, then you could start the wash and rinse. Getting pet odour out of a 100% wool rug is not a DIY job in my opinion, I wouldn't attempt it myself if i didnt have the flushing capacity and drying machines. Plus depending on the rug and your pets diet, the dyes in the rug could easily become unstable and you may start to get colour run. See this video here showing how pet urine destabilises certain rug dyes. ua-cam.com/video/Hb3sNmPZ8ng/v-deo.html
@@ArcadiaRugSpa it's not pet urine, but human. I already tried cleaning it with my carpet cleaner and the water was really dirty. But the odor is still there. Colors didn't run at all.

I personally wouldn't use a rug doctor on this type of rug, For one it has a beater bar which would be too aggressive on the wool fibre and 2, its suction setup isn't adequate for such an undulating and absorbent material. Hope this helps
Hi Eve, In general or from us? I suppose everywhere is different price wise, We need to know a few things before we can give a price, So many variables. If you go on our website and click get a quote, give us as much detail as possible and we can give you an estimate for cleaning. Hope this helps. www.arcadiarugspa.co.uk
Could be a couple of reasons, sun damage, high alkali cleaning product used. You could try an acidic cleaning product. Without seeing it and testing i wouldnt be able to help much more than that.
Probably still not dry or not rinsed thorough enough, Hard to say without knowing what you used product wise and the machinery and techniques applied to cleaning and drying.
Yeah that does happen when you dont know what you are doing, my advice would be to get some training. we've cleaned 100's of these rugs, none shrank and all sat flush to the floor,
@@ArcadiaRugSpa we have cleaned rugs and upholstery for 40 years, if you look at your last photo you can see the edge has lifted, it has shrunk. A woven or natural back wool rug cannot be bathed in water, it causes any natural fibres to contract.
Nice work !

Thank you Micheal.
Great job guys!
Thank you, Hopefully getting a bit better with every video we do but we know we are not naturals. Thanks again for your kind comment.
Would love to have my rug cleaned as good as you clean them. I don’t know anywhere near to me that does that kind of clean for rugs 😞
Great job 🎉

Great video!
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it.
What type of bristle do you use for the rotary brush?
very soft ones. the softest you can get for your machine is my advice.
Did you make that pumping system or did you buy that way 🤔
If so could you point me in the right direction

Thank you so much. Wow.
