Strangely enough I had back to back dreams last night that I was going to do a solo gig with my guitar and the fear and panic was so bad in each of them. I never got to the point where I performed before I woke up, but to hear this was really timely. Thanks for sharing this.

I have been singing since a small child, as I said before. Of the four of us siblings, I was the only one who inherited the ability from my father. He was a locally famous singer throughout his life, dying in 2005 of complications from ALS. He encouraged me in training my voice and in enunciation. I was so blessed.
Interesting and informative!
Last year I started playing wind instruments - clarinet, saxophone and bassoon. Why? I am inspired by the vibration of the wooden reed in the mouthpiece. This transmits of the vibration directly to the bones of the skull. Also, woodwinds are a good breathing practice after Covid-19. Singing is also applicable here.

For me. In my family I'm pretty much the only Musican so I really was forced to learn all the instruments by my self. But the rest is very similar. How ever I never was at the big stages but I know that I for some reason don't have any stagefright at all. I actually sended my composition to Disney but they didn't answere yet (I swear if they use it and don't mention my name I gonna sue them. I still have the original audio on my phone). How ever I performed pretty often beginning with cello concerts, acting, dancing, performing in front of the whole school acapella and with 100% of my energy.

Ken, I have recently been diving into the work of Steve Marriott again. I don't understand how he sings. It can be whimsical and cockney (he'd played the Artful Dodger as a lad) like "Lazy Sunday Afternoon" but then shredding the world with "Tin Soldier". Did that power cost him, do you think?
