I have had dentures for 25 years and Im only 43 y/o! I have been through ALL of these nightmare scenarios and you are such an inspiration! Thank you for your honesty and your candidness. I don't feel so alone in the world having gone through all that I have with broken dentures, having surgery with dentures, having to go through repairs while travelling overseas, BAD dentures, flying out of my mouth dentures and everything in between. Im in the middle of getting implants at the moment so I can see the light at the end of the tunnel but I will not miss these dentures! I just hope that I get a movie star smile after all that I have endured over the years, including the implants! Keep on keeping on! Thank you!!
So, here it goes:) Thank you for being instrumental in my eventual decision to get dentures. 7 years ago I was told by a periodontist that if I did not begin a rigorous treatment to battle the dread disease that I would be a very young man in need of dentures. I was mortified, lol!! Long story short...too expensive, terrible options/advice given by the doctor...regardless. All of that is water under the bridge. At any rate...shortly after that visit I found your videos, watched fascinated as this brave woman shared her personal story, and began to mentally prepare for, accept and embrace the inevitable. You, my dear, have helped so many frightened souls!! Kudos to you!! 👏👏👏 You've also given me the courage to share my story. Alright, done with my sappy novel!! Take care...THANK YOU.
I really appreciate your honesty. My biggest fears about getting dentures is: 1. The transition stage after getting the extractions done. I work with the public. Taking several weeks off for the procedure is not an option for me. 2. The dentures looking to big for my mouth and cheap. Thank you for sharing. Really enjoyed your video.
Hospitals usually only make you remove your dentures for surgery and for some procedures. It is usually when you go under anesthesia. Thanks for this video!!!! Much love to you for sharing your thoughts, views and experiences 💕
I just wanna thank you so much for doing this channel and putting yourself out there. The only thing I regret is not finding your channel earlier. As a gay man in his 30s I was really worried about dating and glad to see you talked about that because gay men can be extremely superficial. I'm only a week in to having the extractions and getting a top denture and I'm already 1000x happier I can't stop smiling and running my tongue over them lol. Anyways I love you and don't ever stop what you do you give hope to so many people!
I've had missing top teeth for nearly a year now and personally for me, I couldn't care less what anyone else thinks. I'll feel better about ME when I get the top ones done (soon, hopefully) and if anybody "judges" me, then they're not my friend to begin with. THANK YOU for this channel!
Thats exactly right. Nobody wants to be around superficial ugly shallow people that would judge someone on their physical looks. This would weed bad people out. Perfectly said!
I JUST discovered you after getting a bridge... I cried for nights and i mean 24/7. By the time that I got to my dentist office- i was a total mess. I could not even SPEAK, i was sobbing so hard. Now, after getting my work done- I am BEAMING!!!! I can smile again :) Thanks so much for allll of your videos. I notice you havent posted in a long time- I hope all is well. You have helped me more than you will EVER know. xoxoxoxoxoxoxox.
You cover content in such a practical and easy effective fashion to explain points that majority of denture wearers or prospect wearers want to as, but never have opportunity to ask! Thank you for presenting this material in such a well way!
Just subscribed, I just started this process at November last year... it’s quite the ordeal.... genetics from both sides left me to get uppers and lowers should have started it years ago, but now here I am with my starters... Thank you for this channel.
Can you give us an update on your dental implants and bridges from your last video you did? A catch up from last to now...Regarding your rechecks, have you had to have new bridges, who is doing your rechecks ( are you still going to Dr. Golpa) and do you have to pay for visits, have you run into problems or issues, etc. Thank you and you look great.
It's like the law of attraction.. You attract what you focus on.. So we should focus on positive all day and it will manifest as such in our everyday life.. And vice versa
I definitely relate to these- I'm still relatively new to dentures (got them in October 2017) but there are certain scenarios and possibilities that make me nervous. I never go anywhere without some extra denture glue in my bag, that's for sure! As an aside, it's reassuring to see another younger person with dentures. People assume that only those that are in their elderly years would have them, but I'm 21 and currently have implants on the lowers and regular dentures on the uppers.
Jack Ramirez we thought bc of cost wise only implanting or snap in for one plate. If you could please tell me how you decided to do the bottoms. ? We thought the top would be better. Then we thought bc of tongue that bottoms would be better.
Thank you so much for all your information. I'm no longer young, 73, but I have been horrified that I was going to have to have dentures. Because of terrible experiences as a child and young adult with dental work, and then going to a dentist who was doing unnecessary work and lost his license for insurance fraud, uggh, I have ended up with terrible teeth. After finding you on utube, I am not as fearful as I was, and I will know what to ask for when I get the permanent teeth in a year. I'm going in in 2 weeks for the extractions on top and the temporary teeth. My dentist is a cosmetic dentist, she's very picky, and I hope all goes well. I've learned so much from you. I was going to get the snap on teeth with 6 implants. The oral surgeon only does 6, but I just couldn't afford it, so regular dentures will have to do. If I was younger, I would have the snap ones done down the road, but I hope I will be happy with what I have. I have worn a partial for years for back teeth, but losing my front teeth is so traumatic for me. I don't want teeth that look like " choppers" , so I'm so glad to have found you! You are wonderful. Your teeth are beautiful and what a service you are providing. ❤️
I can't bite into anything without adhesives with my first set the first year. The lining is horrible, and I feel totally toxic so I only tried the lining once. Because of you, I was brave enough to get my dentures and not be too terrified. Your teeth are amazing, and although I could not afford implants, my teeth look great. I did not want the perfect denture smile, where all teeth are same length, and so they are not perfect. I really like them, but yours are the best ever. I have had the dentures a year this month, so need my permanent ones now. I make faces at myself without my teeth. I look like Popeye, and gross myself out. Why, who knows. Thank you for keeping me brave. ❤️..
Hey Kristie!!! About two years back, I started watching your videos, just wanted to tell you, I went and got them last April!! I'm doing great and have little to no pain and my life is just awesome!
I now have my permanent set of dentures. My denturist advised that I keep my immediate set ( first set) in a ziplock bag in my fridge for all those ' just in case ' times. I had hip surgery over a year ago and didn't have to remove my dentures during the operation. I did have to let them know that I had dentures however. You are bang on about all the nightmare scenarios!...lol so few people in my life know I wear dentures, I am young and I think people would assume I never took care of my dental health, when infact I did. I wear dentures due to a genetic condition beyond my control, but people wouldn't get that, they would assume I just didn't care about my teeth. We live in very judgemental societies , whether people like to admit that or not. Having to lose your own teeth comes w a lot of shame, guilt and fear, regardless of why. In fact, I would go so far as to say having to wear dentures, loosing one's own teeth, is a lot of people's: biggest fear. I have commented to you before Kalinjax that watching your videos helped me immensely in my denture process, but I still can't bring myself to tell certain people in my life that I wear them for fear of judgement. One day I will, hopefully. 😍
I think you are good at being a positive person.. Alot of people look up to you because of how you handle being a "denture wearer" in everyday normal life.. You keep it real and you touch on all the subjects that any denture wearer would eventually think of.
UR VIDS R THE FIRST DENTURE VIDS I STARTED WATCHING WELL BEFORE I GOT ALL MY TEETH PULLED (DUE TO SCLERODERMA & NEEDING A STEM CELL TRANSPLANT) & I THANK U FER THEM🖤
About to start this whole "extractions, immediated dentures, implants" thing in the next month or two, so a great time for a new video from you! Thanks so much for all your videos. I've been watching for years. They've been a huge help, and they'll be an even bigger help once this thing gets started.
I am so pleased to look at you! You saved me three years ago from depression. And they inspired me to make a channel in Russia about myself and my dentures. Thank you, thank you, thank you very much!!! СПАСИБО!!!
Good info. I had surgery in Nov. and I left my dentures home. You are right. They contently asked if you wear dentures, and the staff did not care if you had teeth or not. Very good information.
Your videos are very encouraging and helpful and you have a honest and up beat attitude and have helped me to realize that i can be proud of my dentures with no shame ! God bless you
Yours were the 1st videos I watched before e-day. The mental support I took from them was priceless. Always good to hear the good, and unfortunately the BAD as well though. Thanks for this! (just got my perm set this week...6 months in and taking it day by day)
Learning everything I can before I get mine! One more month and I'll have top teeth❤️ #4 is so me😩 March will make 3 months without top teeth. Thank goodness I'm a stay at home mom and was able to do it! No way could I have put dentures over these gums for the first month! Now I have shards trying to make their way out all over my gums. I couldn't put anything over them so even if I had dentures right now I wouldn't be able to wear them. Can't wait for a year down the road
Sena Cooper you think you wouldn’t have been able to wear dentures on your gums but all of us that got immediates, have had the same gum pains and bone shards and we have been able to do it. You could have done it. You only think you couldn’t have. Trust me. I had 23 teeth pulled in one day and full dentures in the same day and yes there were days that my gums were too sore to put my dentures in, but those days were few. Don’t doubt your ability! You are stronger than you could imagine!
Thank you for sharing and in such great detail each topic of concern for our plight of no other choice but to be able the wearing of our dentures! You're SO super thorough, matter-of-fact & kind. A Potato Sack would look great on you. Good advice on the wax try in process. I'm going for a final set of dentures soon. Thanks and keep it coming! We all need more people like you in our lives.
We are all going to Work Together and Stamp Out this Stigma. The Dental Community is going to brought Out of the Prehistoric Age. Stem Cell and Growing Our Natural Teeth is a Reality!!! As Consumers we can Bring this Technology to Market.
I just got dentures on Dec. 10. I hate this. I pray almost daily that the Lord would just give me another set of real teeth. I even prayed that he change humanity to give us 3 sets of teeth instead of the 2 (the baby teeth and adult teeth) lol. I hate this. I'm going with the snap ons but I have to stop smoking and I have to wait at least 6 months.
@@christah4102 Yes!!! I was just saying the same thing to my husband !! My teenage daughter had to get crowns on her top teeth because a dentist grinded her teeth off , she is so traumatized 😢
You were a very big motivation for me to go to the dentist And have my teeth checked out . and thanks to you I found out that I did need quite a bit of work done I ended up with 8 extractions on the top and now I have dentures . The journey that I have started has been a really wild one the immediate dentures that they gave me fit for 2 days and then I could no longer wear them the pain was so excruciating I finally just took them out and let my gums heal on their own . Now I have my temporary dentures . and they fit so well but I realize that my gums are still shrinking it's been a month . But now I can smile with pretty smile . something that I've never been able to do. All of my life I've had some what you would call an iron deposit in my teeth which made my teeth very Grey . And it's wonderful to have pretty white teeth to smile with . I just wanted to say thank you for all your information on your videos. They're very inspiring and motivating for people to do what they need to do about their teeth . I thank you for your honesty . and please keep making videos that help people you're wonderful .
Oh wow!!! You hit the nail on the head with #2 I'm not only concerned about the teeth flying out of my mouth but that they move while I'm talking. I've had only 7 teeth in my mouth for 1-2 years, 4 on the bottom left and 3 on the upper right with a black chip beside the 3 uppers. And my sister is stressing that I REALLY get dentures. I'm still gun shy, Kristy, on getting false teeth.
Hey, I've been watching you for a long time. I had all my tops taken out Nov.2010 about the time you had yours done I think. Now years later I'm getting ready next week March 2nd. To have my bottoms out and having 4 mini implants put in and a temporary denture. I've been watching your journey.. I have finally saved up the money for this surgery. I really wanted implants if for nothing else to save my bone structure. But hopefully they all take and heal fast and I can my permanent teeth put in in a few months. Then my next step will saving up to have implants put in on top. It's definitely a journey. Thanks for all of your videos over the years.😁
i am becoming a single dad of two and i just got a partial upper. daring is going to be hard enough but adding in false teeth doesn't help. watching these videos does help a lot.
Hello Kalin I just want to say thank you so much! If it were not for you and your videos Im not sure I would have made the descison to have an upper denture. You are beautiful and I just want to thank you 1000X I am 26 almost 27 and it was not an easy choice to make. So thank you again! My story is a little different than yours so I made a few videos I hope to encourage anyone the way that you did me!
So glad to see You! Thanks so much for your posts.. I now have beautiful Ivoclar Phoneres and my dentist and dental lab were awesome. I've been waiting for years to replace the bridge that I hated and looked terrible. I get compliments on my teeth now and don't think twice about smiling. Worth every penny! Getting implants this year. Just one question..did you end up with bl3 or bl4??
Wouldn't bother me or good people knowing people have dentures, good people are all that count in this world, not sad haters looking to boost their low self worth by putting others down....You have a real smile because your a real person, bone teeth or not..
This is probably going to be the weirdest thing anyone has said to you. You have the most pink and healthy looking tongue. I know, so weird and random. But, I can’t help but notice it. I just subscribed to you. I just got my four front teeth extracted yesterday and I also got back teeth and molars extracted as well. I have three teeth on each side on the top now. All my bottom teeth have been deemed “save-able” thank God. Right after the extraction they went to put the partial in and they just could not get it to fit right. I had to get an impression done again right after my extractions, that sucked, and then I had to leave and wait on them. Thank God I had no where to be. I am going in tomorrow morning to get my partial and I am praying it will fit good this time. You have helped me so much. I am currently in so much pain, laying in bed watching all of your videos. You’ve helped me see the brighter side of my situation. I was devastated and so sad over losing my teeth. Now, I don’t know why. They were so rotten and falling apart and actually making me very sick. I guess I just had to get over the loss of MY teeth. The fact that I look in the mirror now and I see how my face has changed and there no more front teeth, that really had effected me as well. I am so glad I have found your channel tho. You have helped me so much these past two days and I know you will continue to help me for a long time. Thank you so much for what you do. You have no idea how much you have helped me and my mindset throughout all of this. I can’t tell you enough how much I appreciate you.
Hi there, thanks for all your vids. They have all been very informative, I have just had all on 4 upper done about 5 months ago. I am due to go back to my dentist next week as I have to decide wether or not I would like them to be detachable or permanent. Detachable of course will be good for keeping clean but am leaning toward permanent. Have you any further advice on this? I am worried that if I did decide to make them detachable they will be harder to get used to or they may come loose or very easy to unsnap. Keep up good work..............Rod undecided
Let me just start by saying. How much you have encouraged me!! Thank you! I wanted to ask you a question and I'm hoping I can explain it to my dentist, but you have mentioned several times about having your dentures made and how you didn't want them to look like piano keys. Lol, I agree with you on having little imperfections to the teeth to look more natural, well my question is, how did you go about explaining that to your dentist? Did you get to speak with the person making your teeth in the lab? Have another appointment tomorrow so I am trying to make sure the lab will understand my request. Thank you so much! Amanda
Got all my teeth removed finally, was feeling really down on myself still. I couldn't afford a temp at all.. It's literally blended food for months, luckily I can mostly work from home on my computer and send a lot of my work in. So I'm just gonna hermit it up.. Anyway.. it's been rough as a 30 year old, feeling like I was the only one at least I knew who had problems this bad I needed everything removed, because that was the healthier option.. Hearing about someone else who understands what it's like to always be hiding you smile, there it is lingering in the back of your mind. "did they notice" "Should I keep my hand over my mouth longer, is this weird?".. not being able to truly laugh in public, and even with close friends feeling ashamed even when they tell you, you don't have too.. Because, as much as they try. They simply can't understand how abnormal it make's someone feel, who has bad teeth.. How much it constantly strike's down there confidence.. to have someone so openly talk about it, someone I can relate too.. I feel like, I WOULD be an attractive man.. if Only I had nice teeth.. if only I wasn't missing this one or that, or that stain wasn't noticeable.. anyway. Few months of healing, and now I'm comfortabley excited. She's beautiful, and I can't stop staring at her, her smile, her confidence. I can't wait to reclaim all those things for myself.. after years.. I'm probably going to cry, and thank my dentist. I hope he understand's just how much I appreciate the work that will have went into everything.. Thank you for all these video's. I feel a lot better now.
I don't know how this video snuck past me, I didn't get any notifications that you uploaded but, YT has some craziness going on or so I heard! Anyways YAY Kristie your back I've missed your face! I follow you on IG but I enjoy your vids so much. I don't think you realize how many ppl you've helped including myself, I went to Aspen dental and it WAS NOT a pleasant experience so w/o you I would've been so lost! I learned sooo much from you. Thanks times a million! Btw my mom had surgery and they let her put her dentures in as soon as she was out of recovery room. She hated it so much and sadly the nurse asked her to remove dentures in from of several family members that had no clue that she had them and tho my mom gave her a glance to kinda warn her that it was embarrassing her she still kept repeating herself and got louder so I had to intervene and whispered to the the lady that it would def be token care of..I felt awful for my mom...
True fact : I was on a rollercoaster in Los Angeles and most ppl scream open mouth 👄. Me screaming gripping my teeth shut , now I have a secret I take them out put them in a zipper pocket in my jacket 🧥 🤣
Oh, and I did have a pair made just in case something happens. Or even just so I can have mine sent off to be fitted.. because it does take 2-3 days. Actually I still wear my "temporary" from 8 years ago.lol I've never had a problem with them. I love them Way better than my new ones I had made. But they're ok for back up.
awesome advice! I wish I’ve could have had this chat with someone...... I’ve gone threw everyone of these basically alone and at fairly the same time. Hospital do make you feel comfortable, that so correct.... surgical mask 😷 great IDEAR! LOL
I wanted to add this: Salt water is your best friend. Natural safe disinfectant, instant relief for gum soreness and surface pain. I have also rediscovered regular aspirin works on tooth pain pretty well in slightly higher doses. Like 3 or 4... Not 8 tablets
can you explain HOW you practice trying to keep them in without adhesive? I am due for my E-day next week more than nervous of course but trying to get as much info on what to expect as possible
So what exactly do you have now? I thought you had a non removable implant-denture but now it seems you just have dentures? Is that what you've always had or did you get implants taken out?
I guess I fit into both 4 and 5 and a couple you didn't mention. I got mine going on 3 years ago. The used permanents because they didn't have the temporary ones available. They didn't fit right. I wore them non stop for the first few weeks but had cuts abrasions and ulcers all over my mouth and under my tongue. I'd been pretty sick 22 abscesses in all. So I thought I was going to feel so much better. That didn't really happen. The teeth looked really nice but I couldn't eat anything but soup. I went back often at first but then couldn't and during that time it became so unbearable I stopped keeping them in. When I went back I had a reline which i was burned by. The inside of my gums and part of my mouth came blistered and came off. Again with pain and couldn't stand to wear them. when I could they weren't right. mainly the lowers. One side was not resting on the ridge of my gum but was hitting (and rubbing) the bone down by my jaw. I told the dentist but each time I went back it was not helping he wasn't removing the part that was rubbing and keeping it from seating. at the end of the first year I thought well it has to get better now because they said my mouth would be about finished changing and they would polish up my dentures to look like new again. ( with each adjustment either adding or taking away they were left rougher and looked more and more like cheap plastic. There was even reline material stuck to the tooth parts. I only wore them if I had to be around people which became less and less often. I continued to try to get them adjusted to fit but relied. Since they still didn't fit nothing was done to smooth or make them look pretty again.) Because they didn't fit and I relied more and more on eating without teeth they were telling me that now it would be hard to learn to eat with them. But how can you eat with something that moves all around your mouth? I'm not talking about floating over the gum but trying to flip over unable to chew anything even with the strongest adhesive. So I have such a dread about putting them in my mouth now. I know that in the 2 or 3 hours I'll have to wear them I'll have ulcers and what seems to be a pinched nerve in one spot that it feels like PTSD. I have not been out to eat, needless to say for more than 3 years because I don't want to have to take them out to eat around other people. These were not cheap teeth I'm still paying for them actually. I feel terrible about myself. I've totally failed at this and at this point I'm afraid to have someone make new ones because what if it me and not them and those won't work either? My dad got his at the same place and the same issue with the bottoms. Finally they offered to put in mini implants to hold them in place at no cost and he has been fine since. I wasn't offered that option and can't really afford to do it on my own. If you have any suggestions, or maybe a prize for nightmare denture scenarios, LOL, I love to hear it. I would suggest to others never ever let them use permanent dentures for your band-aid denture. The people I've known that did have not had good experiences.
I like the way you are so honest and tell it like it is. But, I have a scary situation. I have had partials for at least 10 years now. Only one eye tooth on top.and the rest in back on top are partials. The bottom I only have my wisdom teeth and my four eye teeth. So I had a consultation with the Denist and he suggested that I get them all extracted except the bottom 4 eye teeth, and put a particle on bottom. My problem is I don't understand why keep those 4 teeth on bottom? Why not just pull them all and get a complete set of the highest quality denture, which I want. But after doing research. A lot of people are talking about there lips shrinking and they look 5 to 10 years older. Please help, what will prevent this from happening ? I'm 55, but have always been told that I look young for my age. So, what do I ask for? that the gum line part made thicker to keep my lips from looking sunk in.? I really have no idea, my lips have already shrunk some but the liner I put on the inside bottom partial makes it look alright. I do not understand why keep the 4 bottom eye teeth, does that help with less shrinkage or what. You look like like you have no shrinkage at all, but I know you have implants. I've tried a lot of sites but not really getting any real information. I know you are not a Denist but with all the research you have done, I trust you. I really don't want to look older. What do I do? I think a whole set would look beautiful, like the one pair you like before your implants but , not if my lips are going to shrink and make me look worst. But the top teeth have to go, they are to bad. I have no chose. But keep those bottom and get another partial. I want the full set but not at the expense of looking older. Please help with any advice you can, I'd rather hear it from people like you , before I have to pay for another consultation. I want someone to give me a straight answer. And please, who did your dentures before your dental implants. City, State, and Dr. Thank you for your time.
Can you please tell me the total of extractions plus your intermediates and chosen dentures at Coastal Dentures? At Affordable Dentures I got a total of 3, 675 for extractions, immediates and final Dentures. I was looking at your total and I know the total for extractions is around the same as Costal Dentures. But what is the total price for immediates and then the dentures at Coastal. So what I'm asking is at Costal dentures is there a package price for immediate and final dentures? Or can you please tell me the total of each one. Thank you.
Fearing breaking my dentures is a very big fear that is why my wonderful dentist who gives out dental grants .. which he gives 20 percent off all work he does .. so on Friday I get my dentures my first set .. I live on Long Island New York . And I would recommend my maxiofacial dentist to anyone .. his name is Dr Coleman .. he taught at nyu dental school ... and is the sweetest most understanding dentist I met in my life I lost two front teeth when I was 14 so I have been dealing with Bridges since I was 14 .. so after Friday when I get my immediate denture He will be making a second set of dentures .. I could not believe how wonderful my face looked like with my temporary .. it took 5 years off my face my friends say 10 years but I tell them they are just being kind .. I’m 61 and because of bridges I lost 2 inches of bone on both sides of my face .. I had three wax tryins before he would make the temporary one .. he takes such pride in his work and I would recommend him to anyone .. even if you have to travel his office is located in merrick which is on the south shore of Long Island .. he is not only an amazing dentist he is an amazing person if anyone would like more information please feel free to pm me on my Facebook page which is open to the public .. my name is kathie McHugh Dito
I have all my front top and bottom. no back teeth on the top. i had one tooth up there with a crown that dentist said needed replacing. she removed the crown only to find not enough tooth to create a new crown. no choice but to pull my last "chewing" tooth. I'm absolutely crushed. would have NEVER let her take that crown off, i was in no pain at all, had i known that was the end result. partials won't work for my teeth already spent 2,000 on a partial that wouldn't stay in place so it sits in a drawer. so now I'm faced with pulling all my good front teeth to ever be able to eat solid foods. Do I spend my little nest egg and finance the rest facing potential Financial ruin and be completely disappointed in the results or do I just keep my little Nest Egg but not be able to eat solid foods.....
Can you please who and where you had your dentures done that you liked to much. I caught Dr. David can you please give me all information thank you. You are areal inspiration.
Hey Girl! I admire you so much. I'm fixing to begin my journey and have 14 teeth extracted then dentures. I do have a question I would like to ask you about. Do you still have a email adress for your followers?😊 just didn't want to ask in the comments section. Have a great day and thank you for all you do!!! You're my hero!!!✨✨✨
Karen Carroll good luck! I had all my top teeth removed on January 3rd! It's a process but we'll learn and get through it! No matter what just remember it'll all be worth it when we can smile with confidence❤️
Katlin: gosh, ur such a pretty woman, but you're a lovely person too & I know I💘 you. (You seem like a great wife too, come to Jupiter, I owe y'all dinner at least.) So, yup, STILL on the 1st temporary. Been 2.5+ years! --- Btw folks, Don't let these greedy dentists lie & pressure you along... They are as greedy in West Palm as anywhere. Study, ask questions and be your own best advocate; your friends will support you. Omg story; So I was talk'in my bs & my teeth popped right out, I caught it and the kitchen staff laughed like crazy. Shit happens, no one cares! Katlins compassion got me thru the anguish and anger in the beginning of my continuing ordeal. I agree about fixative😞, I've learned to reline it myself. Tastes gross but its easy and the fit is worth it. My moron dentist did put 8 implants in for 10K -- 1 quickly failed. Another came apart (not sure, but I saved the part.) I've refit the same denture many times now, the abutments hold my denture super strong. That fucker wanted 10K more for a bridge and my lowers are all broken too, so I will wait on spending that money... I walked out on him b'cuz he is an absolute psychopath incompetent. Plus, I like being able to pop it out to rinse or if I have a coughing fit. I am sure it is harder on women, just don't disparage, MILLIONS of people wear dentures. I drive shit cars but my 10 thousand dollar fake teeth allow me to eat. God speed.
Can I ask you some advice.. ? I'm 25 and my teeth are really bad . Well just my top row of teeth. I was homeless all my adolescent years which is a lot of the reason they are like that . I don't have health insurance and people assume I'm a drug addict. I can't get jobs because of it .. Im in a deep depression because of it .. any affordable ways to make a temporary fix ? Anything.. ? Any advice .. i just feel like giving up
Why would anyone put me down for having dentures when I’m so excited about getting them?(a week and a half). Besides that, my teeth are so ugly that they are going to be such a huge improvement. If you’re happy with them and confident, who cares what someone else thinks?
I had a growing UA-cam channel with 3k subs but had to quit because of my teeth. I’m in a spot now where I don’t know where or whom to turn too for help. I’m 47 & haven’t smiled without hiding it since the 7th grade. I was even in The NY Times Magazine & I missed the photographer on purpose just because of my teeth. I’m disabled & cannot afford paying for fuel to drive to a dental place much less pay for dentures. It’s like one has to win the Lottery in order to pay for this. I’ve just given up on life & stay inside 24/7
Can any one tell me why when I got all my back bottom and top teeth pulled I ended up with a mouth full of stitches and it was only simple extractions.I was put to sleep and couldn't really comprehend or didn't really think to ask questions after the procedure.I do know the oral surgeon said something about I have a mouth full of stitches because he shaved or filed down the bone or something.I am getting full dentures as soon as I heal get fitted in about 8 weeks and then I go back and get all my fronts pulled.I just can't find any info on why the oral surgeon did the shaving or filing. If anyone can tell me why he did that what the purpose is pros cons and if it is necessary.I really wish this was explained better or I was told about this being done before hand but I was told nothing.i just thought i was just getting teeth pulled.my mom was there to drive me home after and she told me the oral surgeon said he did the filing of the bone so when I get the dentures they will fit better.I never heard of any of this during all of my research, dental appointments to discuss a treatment plan.i would really love to know what all this shaving filing is all about if its needed just the pros and cons of this being done. Thanks
Secure. It's available on Amazon. I have approximately 80% bone loss...so implants had to be installed for the bottom plate because NOTHING held them in. The cream may tingle/burn a bit; but the sensation dissipates the longer one uses the product. Good luck!
Well this is my nightmare I had a prosthodontist make me dentures they tell you they're sending them to a lab but they sent him to China and they get them back within a few days the dentures burned my mouth inside even down my throat so you need to find out where they're sending their Dentures to
Thanks for making me feel like my feelings of shame are not just me
I have had dentures for 25 years and Im only 43 y/o!
You don’t look super young no offense
@@hannakaye5641 " no offense" while writing an offensive comment. Wow
I can relate to these nightmares 😔!! I know the struggles and they can be hard at times! Thanks for sharing 💕
You get prettier with every year that passes!!! ❤
I am so glad I found you!! Your story is Identical to mine same age of things happening. Thanks for making the videos....
It's like the law of attraction.. You attract what you focus on.. So we should focus on positive all day and it will manifest as such in our everyday life.. And vice versa
Thank you for your videos. I can't wait until I save enough for implants
I just started wearing dentures. Great information!! Thank you!!
Hi my name Jayme, i just got my dentures two days ago. I was watching your videos and they helped me alot. I think you are very beautiful 💕.
Sena Cooper I’m not even sure if they still make it but I used to use benzodent for sore spots. Hang in there!!
I first found you nearly two years ago & was tickled to bits to learn of Your Beautiful Life & just how the IWearDentures gig is SUCH an incredible Purpose Driven Bounty!
I'd love to chat at some point.
You've given SUCH tremendous gains for your followers from everything under the sun on dentures, the transitions, providing a platform for our researching as well as palatable realizations on aaall topics!
Eliminating the overwhelming fear altogether may be a bit too tall an ask. Though in gaining real knowledge with your countless, revealing & transparent offerings, the ins-n-outs of this whole new & very scary thing that's happening and for SO many...Quieting the unmanageable fear and making way thru the jungle is very real, allowing fear its own natural demise by replacing that horrifying oppression with LOVE!
You're doing that! You're providing such an incredible service to your fellow beings. 'Thank You' hardly seems enough!
I thank you.
The social fright alone is pretty hefty. The quality of our smile, increasingly notorious, attached to the quality of person, mistakenly so of course. Shame can take a person out!
But we are able learn how to let go of shame with your cleansing facts in the matter & on topic with refreshing accuracies, fact not fiction!
It's inevitable for some, be it hereditary or due to illness or plain ole neglect whether it be a combination of circumstance, that's not here nor there we need place our focus.
And you, dear sweet one, YOU are like a lovely, most precious songbird & Guiding Light! Guiding our once weakened positions in what all to easily may've otherwise been some of our deepest, darkest hours.
I Am Grateful for You!
Thanks SO SO SO much for the ALL you do for us. For holding our clammy, trembling hands all the while! I'm not freaked by this really big thing anymore. Well not nearly the same! Sure, I've still allotta lotta questions to satisfy, but by the very loads of info you've provided just helps me to be capable of bringing it into The Light of day!
It's time now. Thank You for standing beside me.
~XOX~
A Potato Sack would look great on you. Good advice on the wax try in process. I'm going for a final set of dentures soon. Thanks and keep it coming! We all need more people like you in our lives.

YES YES YES!!!! You are absolutely correct!
Hey you've inspired me big time during this dreaded transition to dentures/partials!
Thanks for the candid information.
Great information for denture wearers! We look forward to more content!
Thanks for all of your videos over the years.😁
Been eagerly awaiting a new video. Lots of great information here. Thank you!
Glad to see a new video and you're looking great as always!!
i am becoming a single dad of two and i just got a partial upper. daring is going to be hard enough but adding in false teeth doesn't help. watching these videos does help a lot.
i meant dating. lol
For my healing, every six weeks like clock work I go get my Dentures relined.
Glad you're back making videos.
Amanda
The first one about other people finding out about dentures cost me a woman I was so fond of, getting away.
True fact :
I was on a rollercoaster in Los Angeles and most ppl scream open mouth 👄.
LOL
How are they holding up and you long have you had the implants? Heard they really only last 10-15 years tops. But then what?
TheMrKlassy I would like a follow upon a year too
I have a niece that is so bold and she is one person that I’m worried will embarrass me especially in front of others
I wanted to add this: Salt water is your best friend. Natural safe disinfectant, instant relief for gum soreness and surface pain. I have also rediscovered regular aspirin works on tooth pain pretty well in slightly higher doses. Like 3 or 4... Not 8 tablets
If it weren't for you I'd be watching each one of my teeth fall out one by one. Thank you! 😘
How did you mentally prepare yourself for full dentures?
Great info as usual. Just wondering. Did you still clean your dentures after they were sitting in a spa bath, I’m guessing you used cleaning tabs?
thanks for the video :)
You give me hope. Dentures incoming for me :(
Lol, my mom always told me, Other people's opinion of you is not your BUISNESS. This is true.
can you explain HOW you practice trying to keep them in without adhesive? I am due for my E-day next week more than nervous of course but trying to get as much info on what to expect as possible
I had throat cancer 2005 The radiation dry mouth finally got my teeth Extracted 5 months ago How do you know where to go for dentures What about Aspen
My first wax try in was terrible i have to now go back i don't know how many times for this dentist to fix it😖😖😖
So what exactly do you have now? I thought you had a non removable implant-denture but now it seems you just have dentures? Is that what you've always had or did you get implants taken out?
jimmy c yes I thought she had implants
jimmy c she does she just saying what she went thru when had dentures
Sorry to hear that why don't you find another dentist
moviemakerwannabe sounds to me like you might be allergic to acrylic. Either way the office should not let you go unhappy. They are not cheap
It's been a long time. Please come back!
Wow ur back!! Yay!! 👏👏

In Cancún México the implants cost 900$ look the prices in www.dentalnaturacancun.com
Dentures are cheap to
I wish this got a response😔
And I would recommend my maxiofacial dentist to anyone .. his name is Dr Coleman .. he taught at nyu dental school ... and is the sweetest most understanding dentist I met in my life I lost two front teeth when I was 14 so I have been dealing with Bridges since I was 14 .. so after Friday when I get my immediate denture
He will be making a second set of dentures .. I could not believe how wonderful my face looked like with my temporary .. it took 5 years off my face my friends say 10 years but I tell them they are just being kind .. I’m 61 and because of bridges I lost 2 inches of bone on both sides of my face .. I had three wax tryins before he would make the temporary one .. he takes such pride in his work and

Inspiring videos and beautiful
Do I spend my little nest egg and finance the rest facing potential Financial ruin and be completely disappointed in the results or do I just keep my little Nest Egg but not be able to eat solid foods.....
you are amaizing

I put a wash cloth on bottom of sink when cleaning dentures
Ga_Sunshinepeach! Amanda are you getting just dentures or implant-dentures? And good luck on your journey I hope everything goes well.
Learning all I can before my e day
Karen Carroll good luck! I had all my top teeth removed on January 3rd! It's a process but we'll learn and get through it! No matter what just remember it'll all be worth it when we can smile with confidence❤️
When is your appointment?
Sena Cooper How are you holding up?
kalinjax I have to get a deep cleaning March 6th
Anything.. ? Any advice .. i just feel like giving up
So I’ve had my dental implants for a week and I can’t pop them out HELP
Why would anyone put me down for having dentures when I’m so excited about getting them?(a week and a half). Besides that, my teeth are so ugly that they are going to be such a huge improvement. If you’re happy with them and confident, who cares what someone else thinks?
i completely agree
is it really bad to have them how do u deal with it when u have to take out and knowing no teeth in mouth ?
I like your channel and I Will subscribe
I hope to start my journey soon.
Get out life is too short, teeth are teeth
Please travel to Mexico or India for economical dental work. In India all on 4 costs anywhere between 4k to 7k dollars.
Where do I find ivoclar dentures?
how do you find a dentist who uses Ivaclor?
Thanks
Your teeth are beautiful!!
What is a wax try ing?
My dentist was amazing, They look fantastic and real (dentures) just? i want to know the best adisive.
Secure. It's available on Amazon.
I have approximately 80% bone loss...so implants had to be installed for the bottom plate because NOTHING held them in.
The cream may tingle/burn a bit; but the sensation dissipates the longer one uses the product.
Good luck!
Mine fall out if I have to yell real loud. 😂😂😂
Well this is my nightmare I had a prosthodontist make me dentures they tell you they're sending them to a lab but they sent him to China and they get them back within a few days the dentures burned my mouth inside even down my throat so you need to find out where they're sending their Dentures to
Im getting dentures soon. My biggest fear is that im going to end up lookling like Gary Busey
