You forgot a key job that’s keeping the world going: the dolphin catcher.

The dolphins don’t even deserve human attention.
The Wookies were in some way idiots (especially compared to the Lasat). They had *a lot of advantages* which they didn't exploit and they left themselves vulnerable to exploitation and slavery.
Physically one of the most powerful species they also had the huge advantage of a 400 year lifespan, so Wookies that went out into the wider galaxy could get very skilled and move up the ranks to control companies and organisations just by seniority, and they _didn't have to worry about workplace bullying._
And as a species they knew secret hyperspace routes and had a special Pathfinder class.
Wookies could've taken over a bunch of merchant companies (and other organisations, a Wookie with 20 years studying business!!!), by moving up the ranks, and _gotten rich enough_ to buy some serious firepower and security and influence against the Trandoshans. A Wookie merchant company that exploited the secret hyperspace routes could dominate certain markets.
And they should've set up colonies far away as safety bolt holes, they can live in far more rugged environments than a human.
Maybe they did? And there's a secret Wookies planet, just like with the Lasat species…
But consider, _5 times the lifespan of a human, possibly 10 times the strength, and can survive naked on planets_ where a human in full protective gear is still miserable and at risk of illness/infection/exposure. Unless there is some vital connection to their Homeworld that leaves them tied to it, they could move out and colonize and dominate a lot of planets that hardly anyone else was interested in, as well as just set up a Wookie quarter on more temperate populated planets.
They just lacked the pragmatism to do so… and imagine if as a species they decided their code of honour only applied to other Wookies [and those that had earned their trust or done the species a favour] so they didn't handicap themselves against other species.
And if they all install translators so they can take part in galactic culture, they could have a real influence.
And as for the Bowcaster, a Wookie could just carry a standard military crew serviced weapon as a rifle. A MWC-35c "Staccato Lightning" repeating cannon [Baze's mini gun from Rogue One] is a _carbine with a fannypack_ for Wookie, and actual carbines are handguns. Imagine having to check a Wookie for holdout weapons…
Their only real issue is they would need to hire a smaller species to pilot snubfighters to protect Wookie dominated planets, but there are a large number of species that would like to have big friends like Wookies and would consider employment or coexistence (Yoda's species for example, both have long lifespans).
If only Wookies played to their strengths.
Their only real physical disadvantage is hairballs and maybe matting …

As a restaurant server who still has to go to work to prepare meals for take out orders, THANK YOU for this shoutout. We have no idea if the people picking up have the virus or not, so we have to live assuming everyone does in order to try to keep everyone and ourselves safe. We were ordered to wear masks and nitrile gloves at all times as a precaution. 'Face-chap' from hot breath lingering on the skin behind a mask is a thing I never thought I'd have to deal with. Vaseline is a god-send.
Thank you for acknowledging that we're still out there. This is one more reason to love you and this channel.

I am surprised that the empire didn't use the Wookies as soldiers. They could be used as juggernauts or even shock troopers

Imagine if a Wookie diaspora ended up on either Mandalore or the Chiss sphere of influence (or even their Homeworld).
They could survive on Chiss's cold climate easily. And both societies would accept that Wookies are honourable, but after a while the Wookies would adopt the local code of honour that is_far more pragmatic._
And Wookie Pathfinders would be very welcome - especially by the Chiss.
And imagine a Wookie in Mandalorian Armour… would they need to shave or just wear a body stocking underneath. A group of shaved Wookies could be the most terrifying adversary imaginable, if they had the Beskar available.
There have been Wookiee Mandolorians, and they don't have to shave to wear the armor.

you forgot to mention the Claatuvac guild, an ancient organization of Wookiee cartographers and navigators reputed for their knowledge of secret hyperspace routes. They constantly were finding new routes and in legends their maps were the reason the separtists attacked Kashyyyk. When order 66 happened, the information was split between the most trusted scouts, one of whom was chewbacca.

I'm not a CCU nurse, but I live in Canada, we have less fatalities in a nation of 37 million people than the state of Massachusetts. Maybe has something to do with our good universal healthcare system, a government that is up front and honest to its people and none of us have the inclination to go to "corona" parties, nor will we heed the advice of Lt Governor Patrick and get the economy rolling at the cost of our elderly people, nor do we insist on going to the beach or engage in some other stupid social activity, (church), that will increase our likelihood of getting the virus, and we do take things like this seriously as we have made preparations since the last covid outbreak in 2002, (so yes we warehoused ventilators). The US does not understand the concept of social responsibility and has a national penchant to panic and react to situations rather than planning for them. I just hope that your legislators understand that should they decide to risk people for the economy, that the virus will be given a new opportunity to mutate and find new hosts.

Whenever Generation Tech reaches a monumental achievement such as this, entire star systems of filthy aliens and dolphin exhibits had been obliterated by a Nova Bomb
How come so many _non Wookie individuals_ learnt their language?
They weren't a common species so it really wasn't that necessary as you may never encounter one, and if you did they were generally honourable enough not to dismember you if you didn't speak their language.
A lot of humans seem to know Wookienese, even if they're from an industrial shipyard or a desert junkyard, is it a common elective in school - and learning multiple languages isn't that easy for humans.
And why didn't Wookies carry or even have implanted translators/voders so they could speak standard and whatever other common languages that are useful (the abilities of a translation droid to decode new languages wouldn't be needed for day to day interactions).
A Wookie with a built in translation chip could join a organisation and work their way up with their natural abilities and extremely long lifespan …
A simple voder wouldn't work as most wookies dont have vocal cords instead a set of mussles in there lungs directly perform that roll, meaning that wookie voices are full of subsonics and harmonies most just don't hear (think whale and dolphin sonics). Some wookies and chewie in perticler can learn to make there voices efectivly higher/lowder so non wookies can hear at least part of what they are saying. Chewie by the way has a speach impedament that means that he talks like this constantly.

The series that got me into this channel and my favorite
so this whole time, from the start of the clone wars to the battle of endor, chewie was just chilling with some random human that wouldn't even live to his grand parents die all through out the the series. just imagine, you're 22 years old and you get captured by these gremlin looking things , that barely live 20 years, are treating you like a subspecies when you can easily tear them to pieces and then you become friends with one of them that has beef with them and he takes you with him everywhere he goes for the next 15 years until one of his grand kids kills him on some space station and then you chill with the new group of humans that your homie was hanging with for the past day or so, thats what life was like for chewbaca for like 50 years

Also, one of their technological pinacle was chemical engineering, like transforming raw sap from Wroshyyr trees into high grade fuel, important enough so that the empire step up the production of sap to industrial levels.

I can assume that due to it's massive forests kashyyyk is extreamly rich with oxygen and that's why they have huge bugs.
