Oh yes.. this is a big one indeed. On my ej20x, I ended up swapping the ej255 exhaust gears to it and retarding the timing 7 degrees~1 ⚙️ gear tooth to better mimic the ej255 timing. I really wanted exhaust ACVS but it was such a headache lol.. Glad to hear you’re figuring yours out!
Wow truly an amazing transformation, can wait to see it complete. But I have a question, I just put in a new ACT clutch now my main concern is that after I finished I took it out for a test drive and when I gunned it it started shuttering and like it slowed down. I rechecked everything and I can’t seem to figure it out the reason. Can u plz help me.
Sorry for the delayed response. I’m not sure what’s going on there… Maybe the clutch isn’t completely flush to the flywheel, or the flywheel isn’t seated completely onto the block. I would think it’d be hard to get the engine to mount up to the trans if that were the case tho. Maybe hit up ACT customer service and ask if they have ever heard of that issue after installing that clutch and pressure plate.

Yeah, it definitely was a headache to figure out! Hopefully it all works as expected, but I won't know until I get it running.

It’s all good brotha, I fixed it. Took me a min. But finally got. Best thing is I enjoy figuring out my own subie issues. Thanks for the reply.
