Harris needs to pick Mark Kelly as running mate. He's not a governor, but he is a naval officer, astronaut, senator critical of the border. But more importantly, he is a loving, supportive husband to Gabby Giffords, an assassination attempt survivor. He is a good honorable patriot. He would help with white males. More importantly, he would help solidify the women vote. He also has name recognition for the right reasons. The imagery of Kelly coming out onto stage in his naval uniform holding his wife's hand is powerful! Trump dreads this VP pick.

As a young person, I know that Mark Kelly takes gun violence seriously (and for good reason. It's personal for him), and that matters a lot to me. I thought about gun violence a lot when I was in school and college and always wondering if I would be next. I just don't want kids to have to think like that anymore. I think he'd be a great pick with my vote as vp because it's such an important issue. The other potential picks aren't really people I've heard of, but I have heard of Mark Kelly and I have heard of Gabby Giffords. I think that's going to be a name young people recognize and Kamala needs the youth vote.

1. He's beloved in a swing state.
2. Arizona is much further away than the other battleground states. It would cut down on campaigning time if Kelly could get AZ to go for the Democrats so she can spend more time campaigning in PA, MI, WI, MN, NH, and GA.

I have followed Senator Mark Kelly's career since he first ran for his senate office in 2020, and fully believe he would make an excellent choice for President when the time comes. Vice-President Harris would be very wise to select Senator Kelly as her VP pick for multiple reasons. Most important of all, we live in perilous times both domestically and abroad. Vice-President Mark Kelly would bring a very needed military perspective that no other candidate in 2024 for President or Vice-President possesses.

With Shapiro- The Lt Governor of PA, Austin Davis, who would take his place if elected, is an up and coming Democrat. The youth factor might really do something. In AZ, Kelly is strong and has that military background. The Democratic governor, Katie Hobbs will appoint a Democrat. I'm good with either of them.

Both candidates are great and I think we can win with either..but I pick Shapiro because he might sweep us more battleground.

Outside of helping us win PA in the electoral college, Shapiro is my least favorite choice of them all. He's very pro-Israel and hasn't called for a ceasefire which could be divisive for the party, in particular young voters. And he's pro-school vouchers. There's zero reason to support school vouchers and not even attempt to get at the root of the issue for failing schools and inequitable distribution of resources.
