Just to let you know, it could be worse... I'd really like to have a tiny house and I know they are very, super illegal here. I noticed there was one being built near me and I got to talking to somebody that knew the story. It's a young guy that had the plan to build it on his parent's property and when I was talking to the guy that knew the story, he was saying the county government was on him. The young guy was building as he had time and money but, since it was tiny, he was moving right along, outside close to done and working on the inside . A couple of days ago when I rode by, what was the house is now a pile of rubble. I'm pretty sure he tore it down. The county would have used a bulldozer and hauled it all away. He did avoid the demolition fee from the county but, I'm sure he has plenty of fees and fines from the county to pay. I've seen it enough to know their MO. This county moves super fast on unpermitted building but, it's easy to find "house only, no land, must be moved" cheap in surrounding counties. We're going to set a record for number of homicides this year with a bigger percentage being unsolved because random killings are tough to get clues on. You are going to have theft and vandalism at home, the official number is down because we don't report anymore. A big part of your shopping list will either be items locked in a cabinet or missing on the shelf because they walked out of the store. On the bright side, we are winning the war on tiny houses big time.
I would think the gasoline/ diesel treatment may have future thermal event issues, no? Still, it looks like fun. Bus is sweet :) Are the summers pretty humid/hot?
The gas/diesel treatment has been a practice for many many years now and from what info we have gathered, no issues. The house does need to be aired out for a large amount of time though lol! Thanks for the compliment on the bus! She was recently in a video shoot for a music video :) Dec and Jan are our hottest 2 months as the humidity and sunlight are brutal. The typical don't leave the house between 11 and 3.
