Direct to Film Printers (DTF Printers) are t-shirt TRANSFER printers
DTF Printers use liquid inks instead of toners or screen print inks (all 3 are vastly different). They appeal to larger custom t-shirt and on-demand personalization businesses.
Commercial DTF Printers are Key.
All of the comparison numbers and convenience of mass-producing dtf transfers are in the high-volume machines.
Single sheet, aftermarket manufactured style dtf systems are far less efficient and have more steps.
There are a few reasons for that:
An Epson color printer converted to be a direct to film machine still prints 1 sheet at a time.
That’s inherently slower than printing on a 24” roll. A commercial printer is inherently faster.
And obviously, buying dtf film one sheet at a time is much more expensive per square inch.
That Epson based dtf printer requires an extra step.

What about the fact that canva uses RGB colors and DTF prints in CMYK? How do you keep your colors true to the design from canva? When I take a file from canva and place in ai then chnage it to cmyk, the colors change drastically. What type of file do I need or what should I tell them to do during export before printing?

what if i dont have Adobe editor ?
Hi what would be considered low resolution images? Is there a certain number?
Anything under 300dpi is considered low resolution
May I ask after we use Canva to make the gang sheet , how do we get it to you? Actually make and pay for the order? Dumb question and I'm sorry for that.

How many shirts does a transfer make?
It would depend on what size gang sheet and what size shirts. 🙃
how do i specify the dpi.?
You can check dpi in photoshop. You can not check dpi in Canva

Can this be done in photoshop?
