- This week I am showing you around my master bedroom in my Irish cottage style home. I love romantic cottage style decor and I have upcycled and recycled a lot of old pieces of furniture using chalk paint and satinwood paint to get that cottage farmhouse look.

I LOVE that room! It's gorgeous! All I'd need is a laptop to watch YT videos, and I'd be on that little couch all day, knitting or crocheting. I also love the little cherub mirror. I collect cherub figures, pictures, candle holders, wall sconces, etc. I just love the idea of the little seating area. It would be so nice to snuggle into on a cold day, You've really done a fantastic job!`

Beautiful room!! I would paint the cabinet a light blush pink and on the inside door doors do stripes (maybe even black and white, or gray and white) or a floral paper as a pop of surprise. Thank you for sharing, I like so many of the same things you do. ❤️ I’m sure it will be lovely in whatever you choose to do to it!

I love everything so much! All the white and cream furniture. 🤗 I love all the vintage decor touches like the fan, suitcase, phone, and of course, teacups. The wallpaper is so subtle but really makes such a difference. The mahogany piece would be pretty in a light sage green. 🤗

What a romantic looking bedroom. Its absolutely lovely. If I was going to redo that walnut cabinet I’d cut the center out of the cupboard doors and add chicken wire so your blankets could breathe. I love the idea of painting it sage. I think the colour would fit in perfectly with the decor you have . You have created the perfect oasis ♥️

I loved your entire room, I think painting the mahogany chest the same shade of pink as the sitting chair next to the pink couch would be nice or a crackle finish of the pink shade. over all beautiful.

I adore your home. It is a life size doll house. You don't need to have much money to have a pretty home. Just be willing to get dirty and put in the time to fix it up and it is so much fun and rewarding. That dresser you want to paint would be pretty in sage green of gray. We must be soul sisters because I have been trying to teach people the same things for years! You don't have to spend tons of money to have nice furniture if you are willing to put a little bit of work into a castaway piece. My entire house is furnished through second hand and free furniture finds! love your place! Oh, and old furniture usually lasts longer because its actually made of wood and not cardboard or whatever things at ikea are made of haha

Beautiful pieces. What I love are the different applications youve used on the funiture. My best is the dress Cabinet really Shabby Chic, fits in nice with the other furniture. The Couch is a Bombshell too. 🤗🤗🤗

The new window skylight is an Excellent, worthwhile re-do.
My colour choice for the new cabinet is pale dusty grey, or a pale grey-blue.
It's always a challenge to have builders working in the house! However, the window is such the a smart addition to the room.

I like the idea of doing that mahogany dresser in a complimentary colour like a sage green. What might be fun is to do the inside of the doors in a floral, just to give it a real pop of "Dainty" when the doors are opened. Lovely tour!
