- Join us in celebrating the Minto's 50th wedding anniversary, mothers day, and fathers day, all in one weekend! The boat ride was rough, but Cape May, NJ, was beautiful! But wait, there's more.... have you ever been GeoCaching?
Can remember taking the ferry the first summer it opened ( July 1984 ) . We got their at early but could not park in the parking lot. Heard it was not finished We had to park at least 5 or 6 blocks away and when I stepped out both feet got buried in mud valve way up my knees. Me & my older brother wanted to go back to Wildwood for our yearly week vacation there. Took probably 3 hours to travel to Lewis then back to muddy dump Cape May. Our dad made us do the round trip following year and the next year we refused. Did take it after staying in Ocean City for a weeks vacation on our way to a few days in Wildwood.
Glad you guys had a good time. Never had a smooth ferry ride. Seems to always be rough and windy but always fun. Also been going to Cape May for decades with my wife and I think it's pretty hard to beat. Nice video.
Glad you liked the video! Our next trip we might try and take our bicycles and go exploring. Still haven’t seen their light house.
Kinda of remembering reading where the ferry does not do as much business as 20 years ago so heard they sold one of the ferries maybe 10 years ago. Its a nice smooth ride and a big time saver if you are traveling from Atlantic City or Wildwood area to Lewis Delaware. Heard they have bus service to take you to the great 3 Tanger outlet centers in Rohobeth Beach. Over 100 stores.
